[Sheng Tian 8] Warming up little by little

[Sheng Tian 8] Warming up little by little

Standing at the entrance of the pet hospital, Fang Tiantian, feeling helpless, called Yan Sheng.

"I don't know what's wrong with Xiaotian. Today I saw that she has a lot of red bumps on her body, and she keeps scratching them. She won't eat the dog food or canned food I give her, and she doesn't seem to have any energy."

"I took it to the vet."

Yan Sheng could tell from her voice that she was about to cry, so he immediately got up from his seat, put on a coat, and went outside: "Sweetie, send me your location, I'm coming to find you now."

When Yan Sheng arrived, he looked at the girl sitting alone on the hospital bench, lost in thought, and his breath hitched.

"Sweetie?"

Hearing someone call her name, Fang Tiantian instinctively grabbed the person's arm.

My palm was held by a small, cool hand.

"Yan Sheng, Xiao Tian is still inside."

Yan Sheng was slightly taken aback, then shook hands with him in return.

Seeing that her eyes were a little red, he couldn't help but touch her equally cold face with the back of his hand: "Don't be afraid."

Fang Tiantian said remorsefully, "I didn't take good care of it. This morning I saw it lying on the ground, scratching itself until it bled. I was really scared."

"Then I held it in my arms and had the driver bring me here."

"It's still inside, and the doctor hasn't come out yet."

As she spoke, Fang Tiantian became sad again. Yan Shengyang had taken good care of her when he was in charge, but she had only been with him for a few days and had already fallen ill like this.

Yan Sheng squeezed her hand tighter and tried to comfort her: "It's common for puppies to get sick. Judging from the symptoms you just described, it shouldn't be too difficult to treat."

Seeing that she kept her head down and didn't speak, Yan Sheng said again:

"It's not that you didn't take good care of it. It's possible that I had an allergic reaction to something when I took it out before, and the symptoms only started to become obvious after you took it in."

"It's my fault, Sweetie."

Fang Tiantian, comforted by him, couldn't hold back any longer and started sobbing.

Let go of the hand I was holding and let the tears fall freely.

"Yan Sheng, why are you so kind?"

“I asked you to raise the puppy. You’re so busy with your studies, yet you still have to take time to care for it. Now that it’s sick, you’re taking all the responsibility on yourself.”

"Waaah..."

Remembering how Yan Sheng used to message her every day, and how she would deliberately ignore him, she felt a pang of jealousy again.

"Yan Sheng, can you please stop being so nice to me?"

Fang Tiantian didn't know whether she was moved or aggrieved, and she cried louder and louder.

It was as if she wanted to cry out all the inexplicable emotions in her heart.

When the doctor came out, he saw the dog owner crying as if he had lost his pet, so he quickly spoke to the doctor while holding the test results.

"Your dog is fine, it's just that its allergy is a bit severe and it has scratched several places on its skin until it bleeds. I've prescribed some medicine for you. The topical medicine should be applied once or twice a day, and the oral medicine should be mixed into its dog food once a day."

"We also need to buy it an Elizabethan collar so it can wear it every day, in case it licks the medicine into its mouth."

Yan Sheng, holding the medicine and the puppy whose fur had been shaved in several places, took some tissues from the hospital reception desk and gave them to Fang Tiantian to wipe her tears.

"Sweetie, get in the car first."

Fang Tiantian sobbed, sitting still: "The driver hasn't arrived yet."

"I drove here."

"You...you got your driver's license?"

"Okay, let's go, I'll take you home."

So Fang Tiantian sat in the passenger seat, and Yan Sheng leaned over to fasten her seatbelt. Seeing that she didn't want to talk, he started to find topics to talk about.

"I got my driver's license at the beginning of last month, and today is the first time I've carried a passenger. I'm a little nervous."

Fang Tiantian had cried enough and had reverted to her aloof and indifferent persona from a while ago.

Hearing him speak to her, she awkwardly glanced out the window and said, "Really? I didn't know that."

Yan Sheng's tone remained gentle: "Yes, because you didn't reply to my message."

Fang Tiantian: "..."

"I probably didn't notice, since I've been quite busy lately."

Yan Sheng seemed to sense that her tone was a bit off. He saw the puppy sleeping on the mat in the rearview mirror and said, "Yan Xiaotian, come back with me. I'll bring it back to you when it gets better."

"no!"

Fang Tiantian frowned at him: "I can take care of it!"

Yan Sheng felt that she seemed to have misunderstood him: "I know you can take good care of it, but it has medicine on it and it will get on your carpet, sofa or new clothes."

Fang Tiantian: "That's okay, I can buy it again."

"Anyway, I'll take good care of it."

Without thinking, she continued, "Also, I heard from Sister Yan Kui that you seem to be very busy lately. Well, you go ahead and do your own thing, I'll take good care of our little dog."

"Our puppy."

Upon hearing this, Fang Tiantian herself felt that her words were somewhat ambiguous.

She glanced to the side and saw that Yan Sheng's ears were red again. He smiled slightly, but didn't say whether he agreed or not. He stepped on the gas and headed towards the Fang family's house.

The silence between the two continued until Fang Tiantian got out of the car.

Yan Sheng put the medicine and some small items into the Fang family's living room, and then squatted down to apply the medicine to the puppy.

After finishing, Fang Tiantian sat in the living room for a while, mimicking his shrewdness by not saying a word, and kept fast-forwarding the TV series with the remote control.

I'm so suffocating!

Finally, I couldn't help but ask, "When are you going back?"

"My brother will be back soon, but he won't let you stay for dinner."

Seeing that she was finally willing to speak, Yan Sheng got up from his chair and walked over.

"Sweetie, don't be angry, okay?"

Fang Tiantian had a white cushion in front of her chest. When she saw him coming over, she pushed it against him and said, "Why am I angry? I'm not angry."

"Besides, what do I have to be angry about?"

A few awkward words.

"Then don't ignore me."

Yan Sheng lowered his face slightly, and the fine strands of hair on his forehead slid to one side, revealing his eyebrows and eyes completely.

Her gaze was soft, and her eyelashes fluttered slightly faster than usual.

His gaze, however, stubbornly met hers from top to bottom, without flinching or avoiding it.

These words, coupled with her pleading expression, made Fang Tiantian nod weakly.

He stubbornly replied with just an "oh".

Upon receiving the reply, Yan Sheng did not leave immediately, but instead sat quietly next to Fang Tiantian for a while.

One minute? Three minutes? Or longer?

Fang Tiantian ignored it.

Yan Sheng felt guilty and disgusted with his contradictory behavior, while also warning himself not to act rashly.

The TV drama wasn't very loud, and Fang Tiantian didn't know if Yan Sheng was paying attention to the plot, but her mind was definitely not on the drama at all.

Thinking that Fang Yue should be home soon, Fang Tiantian decided to let Yan Sheng go home first.

Before I could even speak, I suddenly felt the cushion of the sofa next to me bulge, and heard his voice in my ear.

"Sweetie, can you give me a little more time?"
