Chapter 1 Do you want me to have no descendants?

Gu Xiangsi hurt her ex-boyfriend.

In her first job after returning to China, she was forced by her boss to accompany drinking. She unexpectedly ran into her ex-boyfriend, slipped, and hit her knee in the place where it should not have touched.

Half an hour ago, at the Gentry Club at K11 Musea Shopping Mall, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

Gu Xiangsi followed the waiter through the corridor, pushed open the carved double doors, and handed over the folder with both hands: "Mr. Chen, I'm so sorry...I'm late."

As soon as Chen Hui took the folder, the man next to him sneered, "Mr. Chen, this is like hiding a beautiful woman in a golden house!"

"Mr. Zhao, you're joking."

Chen Hui nodded slightly to the person who spoke, took the wine glass and handed it to Gu Xiangsi, motioning her to follow him.

He lowered his voice and said in a commanding tone, "Xiao Gu, your drinking companion today is very important."

This was her first job after returning to China, and she had to rely on it to make a living.

Just as she took the wine glass, a cold male voice suddenly pierced the noise in the box: "It's so noisy."

The air froze instantly.

She looked in the direction of the sound and saw a man lazily slumped on the sofa in the shadow of the corner, his straight, slender legs casually crossed, his leather shoes resting on the coffee table.

The moment he turned his head, their eyes met.

Gu Xiangsi's head went blank. The familiar outline in countless dreams and those peach blossom eyes were like a whirlpool, which could suck her into the memories of the past with just one glance.

Her fingertips, which were gripping the wine glass, were trembling slightly, and she felt a little panicked and caught off guard.

Five years have passed, and his eyes are still like poisoned honey, dangerous and addictive.

He raised his eyes slightly, lingering on her for a moment like a shadow across a cold pond, and then lowered them.

There was neither the emotion that should come from a long separation nor the deliberate indifference in his eyes, only a frosty indifference.

He casually bent his legs which were resting on the coffee table.

In a light tone, he said, "Mr. Chen, does it take so long to get a contract?"

Chen Hui tensed his back and smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry, Mr. Fu, Xiao Gu is new to the company and isn't very familiar with the business."

"Xiao Gu, come and toast Mr. Fu." Chen Hui greeted him hurriedly.

Gu Xiangsi's fingertips trembled, and she looked at him across the crowd of people drinking and chatting. In a trance, she couldn't tell whether it was the crystal chandelier that was too dazzling or the aura around him that was too cold.

"Can you drink?"

The icy voice cut through the noise, and she saw his slender fingers stroking the rim of the cup intentionally or unintentionally.

It was clearly a very common question, but he pronounced it as if he was interrogating a prisoner.

When Chen Hui approached with a smile, Fu Sinian suddenly placed his wine glass heavily on the marble table.

Amid the crisp sound of collision, he opened his eyes and cast a glance - the look in his eyes was as if he was watching a clown, and he sneered.

"She, is she worthy?"

When Gu Xiangsi heard these three light words, her body stiffened.

It turns out that people can really be in so much pain that they have hallucinations. She actually felt as if these three words had gouged a bloody hole in her heart, and a cold wind was blowing in.

Mr. Zhao Niesen, the man who had previously joked about having a mistress in his house, picked up a whole bottle of whiskey, pushed it to the table, and looked like he was watching the fun.

"We need to be sincere when discussing a project. How can one glass of wine be enough?"

Gu Xiangsi's face turned pale instantly. She subconsciously looked at Fu Sinian and saw him leaning casually and lazily on the sofa playing with the lighter in his hand.

In the past, he never let her drink alcohol. Even if she just took a sip, he would frown and take away her cup and replace it with juice.

The discipline at that time was sweet, and even gave her the illusion of being cherished.

"Why, you shouldn't have drunk a little alcohol!" Zhao Niesen added fuel to the fire.

Fu Sinian lowered his head slightly, and no one could see the emotion in his eyes.

Her feet felt as heavy as lead, and the severe pain in her heart seeped into every part of her body.

I just can't take that step.

Fu Sinian took the cup, leaned back on the sofa, and put on a cynical look.

Chen Hui was so anxious that he was running around. Seeing Gu Xiangsi standing there in a daze, he quickly pushed her towards Fu Sinian.

She staggered and lost her balance. "Ah!" she screamed, and her body suddenly fell forward. In her panic, she subconsciously tried to grab something, but ended up falling heavily on the sofa.

Her knee suddenly hit the man's most awkward spot, and with a low gasp, she looked up in a daze.

The man's face lost some of its color, a thin layer of sweat appeared on his forehead, and he was looking at her with pursed lips.

Gu Xiangsi lowered her head and realized that her knees were still against his lower abdomen. Under the fabric there, the muscles were tense and taut, like a stone storing force.

"Yes, I'm sorry!" She jumped up suddenly, her cheeks burning hot instantly. She tried to step back in a panic, but almost slipped off the edge of the sofa again.

She threw herself on his legs, and the wine in her glass spilled onto his trouser legs.

Even more awkward is the position of the left hand.

A bony hand suddenly grabbed her wrist. The man leaned forward slightly and squeezed out a few words from between his teeth.

"Is Manager Gu playing hard to get? Don't you think that's a bit old-fashioned?"

"I don't…"

The more you explain, the more confusing it becomes.

He snatched the tissue away.

He raised his eyebrows and sneered: "This toasting method is quite unique."

When everyone saw the wine stain seeping into Fu Sinian's crotch, someone started to joke, "Boss Fu is really charming. Not only did Manager Gu get wet in your arms, he also took the initiative to throw himself into your arms."

A double entendre.

Men and women were hanging out in the box. Some men were hugging their female companions and making advances, some were holding up their wine glasses and playing around, and some were looking at them with a smirk.

Gu Xiangsi lowered his head, his face pale and blue.

Fu Sinian carelessly used a tissue to wipe the wine stains on his trousers in front of her.

Gu Xiangsi's ears felt hot and her fingertips trembled. She wanted to pull her hand back but he held it tighter.

Fu Sinian stared at her panicked expression, then suddenly curled his lips maliciously, leaned over to her ear, and spoke word by word in a voice only she could hear:

"If it's damaged, can you afford to pay for it?"

The hot breath sprayed on her ear, and the pressure from the man as a superior made her tremble all over.

Gu Xiangsi said in a low, apologetic voice, "How much do I need to compensate you?"

you?

He looked up at the woman who was so close to him, a woman who seemed both familiar and unfamiliar.

He leaned forward slightly, his voice low and dangerously hoarse:

"Manager Gu, are you trying to make me childless?"

The laughter in the box stopped abruptly, and everyone's attention was focused on him.

Gu Xiangsi's ears felt hot, and her fingertips curled up unconsciously. Her voice was as thin as a mosquito: "...It's not...I..."

He sneered and rubbed his fingertips over her wrist bone.

"Didn't you mean it?" He slowly let go of her, with a hint of anger in his eyes.

She felt a strong sense of oppression and nodded subconsciously.

Fu Sinian leaned back on the sofa, his long legs crossed, and a dark wine stain appeared on his suit pants, just in an awkward position.

He stared at her, with a vicious arc at the corner of his lips:

"Tomorrow, come to my office with the contract."

Gu Xiangsi took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down.

"Okay, Mr. Fu."

Hearing Gu Xiangsi's answer, Chen Hui breathed a sigh of relief, quickly filled the glass with wine, and signaled Gu Xiangsi to toast.

The spicy liquid poured down his throat.

She started coughing violently, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Everyone looked at Fu Sinian sideways, and some people sighed, saying that the prince of Hong Kong really didn't know how to be gentle with women.

Fu Sinian lowered his head, and no one could see the emotions in his eyes. Only the veins in his hand holding the wine glass were slightly bulging.

Five years have passed, and the face she had sketched in countless late nights is now close at hand, its edges sharper and more cold and distant.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the woman's hand trembling as she held the wine glass. When he bent down to take the glass, he only shook the glass, and the sound was muffled.

"I don't like drinking with people who have dirty intentions."

The light from the crystal chandelier broke into pieces at his shoulders, and when it fell into her eyes, she seemed to see not the him of today, but the young man who had grabbed her wrist on a rainy night five years ago and said in a hoarse voice, "Don't go."

He lowered his eyes to stare at the amber liquid swaying in the cup, his Adam's apple sliding slowly in the shadow.

"There's no need for that..." He suddenly slammed the wine glass against the marble countertop, causing her eyelashes to tremble.

"This is half-hearted seduction."
