As the first flashlight caught up with them, Si Qi's bones crackled horribly. "Get out of here." He gave a final warning, his voice low and thunderous.
The pursuers clearly hadn't anticipated this turn of events. The leading Alpha raised his gun and fired. The bullet struck Siqi's chest, but only caused him to retreat half a step. The next second, Siqi's claws had already torn through the man's bulletproof vest, and blood splattered onto the snow.
The remaining pursuers fled in all directions, but the wolf's instinct was to not let go of an enemy that threatened its mate.
