"Ye Chen, do you think they might do something to my mother?" Lin Ruoxi asked worriedly.
"No," Ye Chen said.
"Why?" Lin Ruoxi immediately asked.
“Since they called you, they will naturally wait for you to arrive,” Ye Chen said.
"Just like how kidnappers won't harm hostages until they get the money."
Lin Ruoxi immediately breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.
An hour later, Ye Chen and Lin Ruoxi arrived at their destination.
After explaining their purpose, Ye Chen and Lin Ruoxi were led inside.
As soon as Lin Ruoxi entered the hall, she saw her mother.
She rushed forward, "Mom, are you alright? Are you okay?"
"It's alright, it's alright, Mom is fine," Qin Xiulian quickly said.
"Mom, what exactly happened?" Lin Ruoxi asked in a deep voice.
“Miss Lin, your mother beat up my people and damaged my things on my turf.”
“It is reasonable for me to ask her for compensation.”
Luo Xiaofei said slowly and deliberately.
From the moment Lin Ruoxi entered, Luo Xiaofei's gaze remained fixed on her.
Lin Ruoxi's looks, figure, and temperament all caught Luo Xiaofei's eye.
It felt like discovering a huge treasure.
Luo Xiaofei has seen many beautiful women and has slept with many of them.
But these beauties are still far inferior to Lin Ruoxi in front of them.
Lin Ruoxi frowned slightly, puzzled, and asked, "How much compensation do you want?"
“One million,” Luo Xiaofei said.

"Ruoxi, don't listen to his nonsense," Qin Xiulian immediately jumped out and said.
"This is extortion and blackmail; it's nothing short of banditry."
"They charge you whether they do the job or not, and they won't let you leave if you don't pay."
"These are the rules here. Whether you do it or not is your business, and whether it succeeds or not is none of my concern."
"But you have to give me this money."
"Otherwise, don't blame me for being impolite," Luo Xiaofei said arrogantly.

Lin Ruoxi's expression was very unpleasant.

"What are you doing causing trouble?" Qin Xiulian said angrily.
In Qin Xiulian's eyes, Ye Chen was utterly useless and just lived off her daughter.
She was convinced that Ye Chen couldn't possibly come up with a million.
Playing tricks on others will have dire consequences, and in the end, it will be your own daughter who pays the price.
"Auntie, I'm not joking."
"It's only one million, it's not a lot of money," Ye Chen said with a smile.
He really didn't care about that amount of money.
Qin Xiulian was immediately enraged by Ye Chen's words.
"Ye Chen, what nonsense are you spouting? Shut up right now!"
"Mom, don't talk about Ye Chen like that. Ye Chen knows what he's doing."
Lin Ruoxi was a little unhappy, so she quickly stood up to speak for Ye Chen.
Lin Ruoxi knew that Ye Chen must have a reason for saying that.
All she needs to do now is to trust Ye Chen completely.
Seeing her daughter speak up for Ye Chen, Qin Xiulian felt a deep sense of disappointment and frustration.
"Ruoxi, you really want to drive your mother to her death."
"Mom, I don't have that thought. I only trust Ye Chen."
Lin Ruoxi said in a deep voice, then looked at Ye Chen.
Ye Chen smiled slightly at Lin Ruoxi, indicating that she didn't need to worry.
"Don't worry, Ruoxi, I'll handle this."
Ye Chen then looked at Luo Xiaofei and said softly, "I can give you this million, but only if they leave here first."
"Interesting. You dare to make demands of me before you've even paid me. You're pretty reckless."
Luo Xiaofei looked at Ye Chen with a cold laugh.
"What, are you afraid of me?" Ye Chen said jokingly.
"Why should I be afraid of you? Who do you think you are!" Luo Xiaofei said.
"If they're not afraid of me, then let them leave first."
"Anyway, this is your territory, do you think I can just run away?" Ye Chen said.
"I see your attitude is not bad, and you know how to get by, so I'll give you face."
Luo Xiaofei said, then gestured for his men to step aside.
"Ruoxi, you take Auntie and leave first. I'll stay and handle this."
