125. Chapter 125 The Awakening Mermaid

Chapter 125 The Awakening Mermaid

Stay forever?

The man's voice was so alluring, and the feeling of spiritual entanglement was so sweet and comfortable that she was almost completely addicted to it.

She likes him very much.

After the huge stone pressing on my heart was lifted, this feeling of love became clearer and clearer.

He was always her gentle support and her safe haven when she was hurt.

She liked the smell of him, the sound of his voice, and the way he looked at her.

But should she really stay here?

Is everything really over?

Qianzhi suddenly remembered the instructions given by the interstellar consciousness at the beginning of its birth.

And Er's face flashed before her eyes.

She suddenly came to her senses and broke free from Ian's seductive embrace.

The vine withdrew from Ian's gland, making the man sigh in dissatisfaction.

Ian watched as the couple mark on his collarbone suddenly dimmed. She was just one step away from establishing the most intimate relationship with him.

But his little girl was so insecure.

In her memory, what she experienced was full of ruins, darkness and negative voices, so she was so pessimistic about the future and so reluctant to be happy.

Therefore, he should give her more time and more love, so that she can truly realize that in this world, there is more than just responsibilities on shoulders, and his little girl also has the right to enjoy beauty.

Theo stood outside the door, his back against the wall, his brow furrowed in anxiety as he flipped through the text messages in his hand.

It was not until the door opened that he took a deep breath and turned around with a fake smile.

"Qianqian you——"

“—she’s asleep.”

The man who answered him raised his eyelids listlessly and leaned his broad back against the wall, imitating Theo.

Theo was silent for a moment, staring at his neck, which was still covered with red marks from being entangled by vines, and said sourly:

"What? You want to show off to me the marks left by Qianqian? I'm not envious. After all, I was raped by her many times before you because of pheromone insensitivity—"

"--failed." Ian interrupted him and lowered his eyes lightly.

Theo paused for a moment, then suddenly realized what Ian meant and said through gritted teeth:

"You really are using the pheromone rampage as an excuse to lure her into forming a partnership with you, Ian Gwen!"

He could certainly see that Chizhi liked his friend, perhaps even more than he liked himself.

That's why he was even more jealous.

But Theo's anger only surged for a moment, and then he sighed dejectedly.

"Sentinels will develop severe post-traumatic stress syndrome after being away from the battlefield for a period of time. This is especially true for Chizhi, who has experienced the apocalypse of constant disaster since birth. Even in the interstellar space, people still need her protection. She has endured so much, which is why she is even more afraid of the peace she has gained."

Theo rubbed the hair that fell on his forehead to the top of his head in annoyance, his golden eyes full of heartache.

"The guide can soothe the sentinel's negative emotions, but as a guide, she can't cure them. So, in the end, we haven't done a good enough job."

They should make this trembling dodder feel more love.

Theo rubbed his brow in frustration, and at the same time the communicator suddenly rang.

He clicked his tongue impatiently, but still turned on the light screen.

The words above made his pupils shrink slightly and his brows furrowed even tighter.

"What's wrong?" Ian fastened the button above his collarbone, his expression changed, and he turned back into the cold and hard marshal.

"Dodo Federation." Theo raised his eyebrows and shook the thank-you letter on the light screen in his hand.

"The disaster previously covered the entire galaxy and had a significant impact on them. We took action to eliminate the disaster, and they wrote to express their gratitude. They may visit us in the future to express their deeper gratitude."

"Thanks?" Ian narrowed his eyes slightly, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. "You have ulterior motives."

"Ever since their commander fell asleep, the faction has been deeply divided. The political situation is a mess, and they have completely lost the ability to confront the Empire," Theo shrugged. "But..."

He stared at the name on the thank you note.

"Leon Iver. Could it be... is he awake?"

Under the dark gray dome, there is a huge glass container.

There are dozens of delivery tubes in the container, connecting the people inside.

A burst of breath bubbles surged out of the man's mouth, and the next moment, he opened his eyes.

The dark eyes flashed scarlet, cold and sharp as if they had never slept.

The huge and agile black fish tail slapped the bottom of the pool, causing a tide.

"Commander, you're awake." The soldiers around him bowed their heads respectfully to greet the awakened man.

A slender, pale hand covered the edge of the pool, and the light gray webs between the fingers slowly disappeared as the water droplets evaporated.

Leon raised his muscular upper arms and lifted the long hair that was sticking to his cheeks.

"How long have I slept?"

"Two years."

Leon pursed his pale lips.

"Where's Rod?"

"I am acting as your agent."

"Agent? That old fellow," Leon sneered. Black mist emerged from his hands, melting the tube connected to his spine in the pool water. "How could he just want to be an agent? He can't wait to take over."

"The Inspector General did intend to find your sleeping location, but thankfully, Your Excellency had the foresight to cordon off all nearby areas."

Leon raised a hand, and the secret guard's chattering mouth immediately shut.

"Sir," the secret guard muttered again, "Inspector General Rhodes sent a letter of thanks to the Soltz Empire in your tone, thanking them for eliminating the disaster lingering in the stars."

"The entire galaxy was nearly swallowed up by that dark thing."

"--Dark things? Ha." The secret guard looked at the tall man and chuckled, his voice strangely low.

Leon stroked his forehead, countless images running through his mind, like sharp vines pricking his nerves.

After a while, he raised his head, and the mutated fangs bit the corner of his lips, oozing out strange dark red blood.

He stared at the planet above the dark dome that represented the center of the Soltz Empire.

"Since I've already expressed my gratitude in my capacity, I certainly can't offend Rhodes."

With a splash, the naked, muscular man supported himself on the edge of the pool with his arms, and the huge fish tail that had emerged from the water turned into a pair of strong and powerful legs.

"Let Rand get off the pirate ship. It's been two years, and he should accept some new missions."

"yes."

The shadow of the secret guard quickly disappeared from the spot.

Leon lowered his head and stared at his intact, well-defined chest, without any signs of being punctured.

Scattered memories in my consciousness surged up as quickly as bubbles in water.

The silver-haired woman's tears and the girl's determined gaze.

His heart suddenly tightened, and at the same time felt heavy and filled with something.

The man looked into the distance with a bloodshot gaze, a hint of a smile on his lips.
