Chapter 66: Hit Him in the Face

Chapter 66 Hit Him in the Face

"Do you know how to make an antidote, Miss Witch?"

Lu Chenzhou spread an old book beside her and took the box with a cold glow in his hand.

The book showed a dismembered human figure, with blood plasma being extracted from it through several tubes.

The faces of the people killed above were distorted and their deaths were horrific.

Qianzhi's eyelashes trembled and she looked away, but the next moment she saw Lu Chenzhou open the cold box, revealing the horrible instruments inside, including surgical instruments and needles.

He held a very thick syringe between his slender fingertips, and next to him was a blood tank with a very large capacity.

Qianzhi trembled, and her forearm was firmly grasped by the man.

Lu Chenzhou pointed the needle at her forearm and spoke in an icy voice.

"The antidote is the witch's blood—"

"No!" The girl who was held struggled in his hands, and the silver chain made a crackling sound.

But she did not try to turn over and escape from him. Instead, she leaned forward and crashed into his arms like a reckless bird.

The girl in his arms didn't have much strength, but Lu Chenzhou felt his heart being hit hard by something, and it felt numb and warm.

She raised her head in his arms, her eyes misty, and a few warm tears slid down the corners of his lips as she struggled.

The man licked it subconsciously, his expression dull, and spoke the next few words slowly.

"—And the witch's tears."

How could he really stab this flawless white arm? He just wanted to extract the truth from this cunning witch.

But the soft person in his arms burst into tears because of his intimidation.

His heart suddenly ached violently because of her tears, like dense needles stabbing his chest repeatedly.

It seemed as if subconsciously, he should always be making her laugh.

So why did he do something to make her cry?

The salty and wet taste was bitter on the tip of his tongue.

"I"

Lu Chenzhou looked up in a daze and saw that the tears in the girl's eyes had long disappeared.

She slashed fiercely at Lu Chenzhou's forehead, and part of the black mist twisted like maggots at her fingertips and finally disappeared.

Lu Chenzhou felt his head lighten. The hunger that always occupied his mind was fading away, replaced by the expressionless face of the girl in front of him.

"Are you awake now, Lu Chenzhou?" Her voice was no longer as soft and harmless as she had pretended to be, but a cold and broken one with a hint of indifference.

This tone made him a little flustered.

"What did you do to me?" The "memories" in his brain seemed to have changed slightly.

The girl who was originally wearing a hood gradually became blurred as the wizards chanted spells.

He didn't even remember when he had this memory.

"The black mist surrounding you is the reason why you will always feel hungry, and I can purify it." Qianzhi replied somewhat coldly.

After extinguishing Lu Chenzhou's black fog, a new black fog began to brew around him.

Qianzhi guessed that if they were all purified, perhaps their distorted cognition could be awakened and they could work together to find a way out of the "door".

"Okay, let me go now." Qianzhi pinched out the newly formed black mist again with a faint expression.

She didn't want to be nice to Lu Chenzhou right now.

She was labeled a "witch" for no reason and might even be beaten to death by this cold-blooded man.

The man's long fingers, like those cast from hot iron, were wrapped around her ankles.

She twisted her ankle uncomfortably to shake it off, and with force, she kicked him in the stomach.

Lu Chenzhou lowered his eyelashes and groaned.

It's not because of the pain.

The slender, white foot didn't use much strength, but the moment the tip of her toes touched his abdomen, his internal organs tightened because of her touch.

Appetite and another kind burst out at the same time at this moment.

His lower abdomen twitched, as if he was particularly looking forward to being treated like this by her.

He stared at the calf and swallowed hard.

"Lu Chenzhou, who am I now?" She hooked her fingers under his chin and made him look up at her.

The man's eyes wavered as he stared at her lips.

If she is not a witch, then who is she?

She didn't cast the spell, so who was it that cast the spell?

"Also, where is your spirit body?" Where did her beautiful red flower go?

From the moment she entered the world inside the "gate", she had not seen any spiritual beings, including Theo and other sentinels.

Even the scent of emotions and the taste of pheromones were gone.

"Spirit? What is that?"

Lu Chenzhou's words made her pause for a moment.

"Could it be that the souls of humans and animals are separated in the 'door'?" Qianzhi murmured.

She pinched Lu Chenzhou's chin, made the man turn his head obediently, and carefully examined the back of his neck.

The glands that were once there disappeared, leaving only cold white skin.

Lu Chenzhou held his breath slightly, trying not to breathe in the scent of the girl so close to him.

The stomach, throat and brain began to roar unbearably again.

Qianzhi looked at Lu Chenzhou, who had his eyelashes lowered and was no longer as cold as before.

He felt a little better. Although he was a little different from the seemingly cold but actually gentle Dr. Lu outside the "door", at least he no longer looked half-dead like before, and he would not bump into the needle hole whenever he caught her.

If we purify the black mist from them, can we leave this illusory world that is like a barrier?

"—Two hours, Dr. Lu."

A chilling voice sounded from behind them.

The blond man stood at the door, followed by guards whose faces were unclear.

Theo crossed his arms and squinted his eyes at Qianzhi and Lu Chenzhou.

"Why, have you fallen under her spell again?"

He waved to the guards behind him, signaling them to separate Lu Chenzhou and Qianzhi, then walked over and grabbed Qianzhi's shoulders possessively.

"I really shouldn't have left you alone with Doctor Lu." He spoke with a hint of resentment, a strange sourness in his tone. "If I had come any later, would he have been completely under your control, and you would have been able to escape?"

He still looked down upon the witch too much.

He should.

He should have made her a carefully crafted gilded birdcage and locked her in it.

Or maybe.

He glanced at the chain still fastened around Qianzhi's ankle, and more anger surged up.

This chain is really ugly.

Or he could forge chains of solid gold and lock them tightly around her neck, wrists, and ankles.

By then, no matter how many spells she cast, she would not be able to escape from his clutches.

The slender shoulder in my palm moved.

Qianzhi raised his head, suddenly stretched out his arms, clenched his palms into fists, and struck Theo in the face!
