When Gu Zian opened the door, the nanny was holding Xiao Qingwu in her airplane stance.

He saw Xiao Qingwu staring at her feet, her head held high as she cried intermittently. Meanwhile, Xia Zhitang and Aunt Chen sat anxiously on the sofa, clutching the "Childcare Encyclopedia."

"I'll do it, I'll do it." Gu Zian threw the car keys on the table and rushed over anxiously to take his daughter.

"Haven't you taken a shower and changed your clothes yet!" Xia Zhitang grabbed Gu Zian.

"Why are you crying so much lately?" Gu Zian couldn't understand why his daughter, who could eat and sleep well during the confinement period, would cry at every turn after one month.

"February is making trouble." Xia Zhitang stared at his daughter who was still crying, and frowned.

"I'm just about to get child care, so let's contact a better expert to take a look." Gu Zian comforted Xia Zhitang while squeezing disinfectant on his hands.

"Oh, do you think the milk powder is not working?" Xia Zhitang's emotions were always tense amid his daughter's crying.

"As long as the poop doesn't have curds or the shape and color of the milk is fine, it should still be suitable." The nanny explained while coaxing Xiao Qingmiao, "Many babies are like this in the second month, it will be fine as they grow older."

After finally getting through the evening, Xia Zhitang and Gu Zian watched Xiao Qingwu fall asleep peacefully in the baby room. They both breathed a sigh of relief and tiptoed out.

The two of them leaned tiredly against the pillows at the headboard, each aimlessly scrolling through their phones.

At this moment, Xia Zhitang felt that the control of his life was back in his hands.

Less than half an hour after relaxing, Xiao Qingwu's crying was faintly heard from the crack of the door, startling Xia Zhitang so much that he suddenly jumped up.

Gu Zian looked at the fatigue on Xia Zhitang's face and reached out to push her back onto the bed.

"I'll go, you take a rest." He has been out for work from time to time these days. When he comes back, the atmosphere in the whole house becomes much more solemn due to Xiao Qingmiao's discomfort.

Xia Zhitang was a little worried: "Let's go together."

"You take a rest." Gu Zian insisted, a rare insistence. "I'm a dad who can make milk powder and change diapers on my own."

Xia Zhitang looked at Gu Zian's serious eyes and did not insist any longer.

After about ten minutes, the crying sounds from next door gradually subsided, and Xia Zhitang finally felt relieved.

"It's okay, I just pooped and I'm hungry." As soon as Gu Zian opened the door, he saw Xia Zhitang's concerned look and couldn't help but explain immediately.

"Zi'an, do you think it's because I didn't let her drink breast milk that this situation happened?"

Under the light, Xia Zhitang's drooping eyelashes cast a black shadow, and Gu Zian's hand on the door handle paused.

"Our bottles are anti-colic, and we burp him properly." He felt that something was wrong with Xia Zhitang's condition. "The nanny also said that many children are like this. If you are really worried, let's go see a doctor tomorrow."

As soon as he finished speaking, Gu Zian's cell phone on the bedside table rang.

"Dad called." Xia Zhitang handed the phone to Gu Zian.

"I bought a piece of blessed jade for Qingwu. Come back tomorrow to pick it up." Father Gu's voice came from the radio. "This can calm the mind and ensure safety. Qingwu hasn't been crying a lot lately. Hang it around her neck."

"Dad, this is February's trouble." Gu Zian glanced at Xia Zhitang out of the corner of his eye.

"It's better to believe it exists than not to believe it exists." Father Gu was very persistent. "Try any method."

"I'm busy tomorrow. I have to take her to see a doctor." Gu Zian evaded.

Father Gu missed his granddaughter a little. "You two don't have to go to work, so why don't you come back after seeing the doctor? It's settled. We agreed to come back every weekend. Now that you're out of confinement, it shouldn't be a problem to pick you up and drop you off by car."

After he finished speaking, he hung up the phone without waiting for Gu Zian to reply. Xia Zhitang couldn't help rubbing his brows as he listened to the sound of the amplifier disappearing in vain.

"That dad is also anxious." Gu Zian explained timidly.

"Well, let's go to the hospital first tomorrow morning, and then go back." Xia Zhitang felt as if he was back on the set to deal with all kinds of things that he had no idea about, except that his colleagues in the group had become his tangled family.

When Cheng Shubai received Gu Zian's call, he had just finished the preparatory meeting for the start of filming, and Lin Jingming was still holding a booklet to compare information with him.

Cheng Shubai glanced at Lin Jingming, who was sitting next to him, and said soothingly, "Don't be too nervous. Children always have a few fussy stages. The doctor said it's okay and it's just a simple developmental stage."

"Is your Tongtong at that stage?" Gu Zian hid in the study, and the faint cry of Xiao Qingwu could be heard outside the door.

Cheng Shubai was stunned. At that stage, he went out early and came back late to pursue his career. How could he have any memory of it?

"Well, ask your wife to ask Tongtong's mother for advice." He vaguely passed over the topic, "If mom, the helmsman, is stable, this family will be stable."

After hanging up the phone, Lin Jingming was silent for a moment and continued to discuss the work that had just been interrupted with Cheng Shubai.

"Aren't you curious?" Cheng Shubai couldn't help but ask after the two of them finished the last controversial task.

"What's the point of me being curious?" Lin Jingming said calmly, "Xia Xia will come to me if she needs anything."

"Are you so confident?" You say it as if others need you, who has no knowledge or experience of childbirth.

"In terms of emotional value, what we do is not called mutual provision, but soul resonance." Lin Jingming's tone was filled with inexplicable confidence.

"Forget it, you've both entered different stages of your lives." Cheng Shubai wasn't optimistic about Lin Jingming and Xia Zhitang. He felt the most likely time for them to be together was when Xia Zhitang fled abroad to avoid marriage.

"So what?" Lin Jingming has entered a stage where he no longer worries about the future. "If we are not suitable at that time, we can talk about it later. But now I will continue to wait for her."

After all, how could he bear to give up such a wonderful person?

Cheng Shubai shook his head. He didn't understand Lin Jingming, but he respected him.

After all, this person is emotionally unstable, but his work ability is impeccable.

He suddenly felt that it would be nice if Lin Jingming could always be in this state of wanting but not getting what he wanted. After all, even if he failed in love, he would still be successful in his career.

When Xia Zhitang pushed the door open with the nanny and Xiao Qingwu, Guan Mingyue was sitting in the private room typing on the keyboard.

She looked at Guan Mingyue, who looked like a professional elite, and couldn't help feeling a little dazed.

Until her water broke, she was a capable and confident workplace elite despite being pregnant.

At that time, she arranged her time very tightly, dealing with work matters while finding time to do various inspections.

Although she was tired at that time, she was happy and confident.

She saw herself reflected in the glass door, a casually tied ponytail, a loose top, and a tired look...

Xia Zhitang subconsciously touched his face. Was it her who came?

"Want a cup of coffee?" Guan Mingyue closed her laptop. "The tiramisu here is worth a try."

Xia Zhitang smiled and said, "Why don't you bring Tongtong with you?"

"Today is Father's Day. We have to make sure Tongtong's daddy fulfills his responsibilities." Guan Mingyue raised an eyebrow with an expression of infinite charm. "Otherwise, he just contributed a tadpole and expected to enjoy the harvest?"

Her beautiful eyes rolled up slightly, yet they carried a lively and charming charm: "He wishes."

Xia Zhitang was amused and burst out laughing: "That's right, they don't have to carry a baby for ten months. How can they be worthy of the title of father if they don't do more."

"You are just good at talking." Guan Mingyue tapped Xia Zhitang's head with her scarlet nails, turned around and half-knelt in front of Xiao Qingwu.

"Xiao Qingwu, lend it to your mother for a while. I'll return it to you in an hour." She greeted Xiao Qingwu in a soft voice, then stood up and pulled Xia Zhitang out.

"Where are you going?" Xia Zhitang looked at his daughter with some struggle.

"It's up to you. Shopping, working out, reading are all fine, but you have to have time for yourself." Guan Mingyue pulled the man out without saying anything.

"But..." Xia Zhitang looked back at the closed door.

Guan Mingyue suddenly paused, turned around, and her skirt opened into a beautiful flower: "But what is it? Is it that the nanny is not good at taking care of the child, or is it that Xiao Qingwu has never left you?"

She curled her red lips slightly and lifted Xia Zhitang's chin with one finger: "Xia Zhitang, how long has it been since you looked in the mirror? How long has it been since you picked out a dress that makes you feel good? How long has it been since you woke up and couldn't help but smile and sigh that today is such a beautiful day?"

Xia Zhitang lowered his eyes to avoid Guan Mingyue's aggressive gaze: "I had it during the full moon banquet."

Guan Mingyue's slender fingers brushed across Xia Zhitang's lips: "Is that what you are really interested in?"

A guest passed by in the corridor and stared at Guan Mingyue uncontrollably. She didn't even spare a glance for the well-dressed man.

"Xia Zhitang, before becoming a mother, you must learn to love yourself. You are the most important person to yourself!"

She turned and looked at the passersby, who were as small as soybeans, under the French window: "You have to learn to see your own needs and make yourself truly happy instead of being surrounded by the happiness of maternal love."

A huge dark cloud passed by the horizon, blocking the sunshine of hope. The ground instantly turned a cold blue, and Guan Mingyue's smile faded away.

"Otherwise, what you see before you isn't a beautiful view." Her voice made Xia Zhitang feel strangely cold, "but the temptation to jump down with the child in your arms."

Xia Zhitang shuddered uncontrollably: "Mingyue, you..."

The indifference in Guan Mingyue's eyes faded away, and she turned around and raised a big wave of light chestnut.

"Me? I'm very happy right now." She raised her hand to push back her long hair from her chest. "Do you know? Humans are very strong. Once you get through the lows, you will become a better and more transparent person."

"Mingyue, you know, I feel useless every time Xiao Qingmiao cries." Xia Zhitang finally had the urge to speak out the words that had been suppressed in his heart for a long time.

“This is instinct, but you have to believe that life is more tenacious than we think.”
