696. Something's not right (1/2)

Qi Xu pondered the matter carefully without success, but he was absolutely certain that something was wrong with Three Kings, which began after he acquired the memory fragments.

Although they were strangers before, they got along and cooperated fairly smoothly. It was really uncomfortable to keep things to themselves, so Qi Xu chose to take a direct approach.

"We met in a previous game...? Why did you act a little strange after absorbing the memory crystal?"

Three King paused slightly, then turned around naturally and replied, "It's not that we know each other, but I didn't expect you to be so strong. In my memory, you were number one on the server in that round of the game."

"Yeah?"

"Yes, it's a pleasure to meet you in this instance. I hope we can work together again once we're out." Three King was gentle and polite, his tone sincere.

But Qi Xu didn't believe a single word of it.

But forcing questions won't get you any answers, and since your skills and combat abilities are completely sealed, you can't even fight back. You can only continue to be puzzled.

The atmosphere suddenly became a little awkward. Although no one else interrupted their conversation, the space was small enough that everyone had heard it.

Fortunately, at that moment, Fu Shou Mianmian coughed and said, "This skeleton is now assembled. Stupid Goose Shadow Killer, it's yours, right?"

Before Shadow Killer could react, his bones had already coalesced into a ball of light and flew towards him.

Then, just like Three Kings before, he stared blankly, frozen in place. It took about 10 minutes for Shadow Killer to slowly recover.

Qi Xu had just paid special attention and found that Shadow Killer's "Memory Fragment" was completely identical to Three King's light perception. It should also be a memory from a normal round of the game, and there was no way to choose it arbitrarily.

Then what about this...divine artifact fragment in my hand? Qi Xu doesn't believe in good fortune or luck. The more you get, the more you should have to deal with, that's reasonable.

Just then, a skull fell to the side of Shadow Assassin. Qi Xu turned around to pick it up, but unexpectedly, Shadow Assassin raised his hand to block it, and Qi Xu took several steps back in the process.

He lost his balance and landed squarely on his bottom in the pile of bones. Qi Xu looked at him in confusion. "I didn't hit you, why are you running? Why are you hiding?"

Seeing Ying Sha's unbearable gaze, Qi Xu had some guesses.

"You saw me in your memory?"

Shadow Killer's first reaction was to shake his head, "No, no, I'm sorry, it's just... I was still in a daze because I hadn't quite come out of my memories yet, uh... yes."

Qi Xu didn't answer, but stared at him with a slight frown.

The "Invincible Black Whirlwind" of the past really had a strong presence.

Everyone figured out the tricks of the trade, became completely familiar with the location of the small characters engraved on the top of each bone, and tried working in groups of two or three to speed up the process.

Qi Xu was paired with Fu Shou Mian Mian. While they were working, Fu Shou Mian Mian complained, "I just don't understand how that idiot Ying Sha had the courage to enter this instance. Were his friends already mourning his death the moment he successfully registered...?"

What's on his mind? It's practically written all over his face. Even an 8-year-old could fake it better than him. Boss Whirlwind, didn't you kill him in one of the previous games? That's why he was acting so scared of you just now, hahaha, it cracked me up.

Fu Shou Mianmian didn't lower her voice at all. When she first arrived at this instance, she thought that she could use her weak and sickly body to make everyone lower their guard against her.
