Chapter 106: Prestor's Appearance
Terenas looked at the nobleman in front of him. His hair was shiny and neat, his chin was clean, and his square face had the might of a lion and the fortitude of an eagle. Every time he smiled, his teeth were white and shiny. All the noblewomen who had seen him looked at him sideways. This nobleman gave people a feeling of being so noble that Terenas even thought that he had a more kingly temperament than the princes or even kings of all other countries.
Terenas recalled the story. Two years ago, the Prestor in front of him was still an unknown young nobleman. He came from a remote mountain area, but he had the royal blood of Alterac. When he first arrived in Lordaeron, his territory was destroyed by a dragon and he didn't even have a servant. However, he relied on his talent, knowledge and handsome appearance to become the darling of the upper class (actually it was the subtle influence of black dragon magic).
What really made him remembered by the kings was his diplomatic talent. After Perenolde fell into a coma, the situation in Alterac has been very tense. Stromgarde and Lordaeron also had frictions on the border. Once again, the king of Stromgarde gathered his army on the border, and the war was about to break out. Prestor stepped forward and ventured into the territory of Stromgarde to meet Thoras. He used his "speaking skills" to persuade the troops of Stromgarde to retreat, making the war invisible. Not only that, King Thoras also signed a peace treaty with King Terenas after withdrawing his troops. After the orcs reopened the Dark Portal, Prestor stepped forward again and lobbied other countries to send troops together. Even Gilneas, who refused to participate in the war at the beginning, sent troops through the Dark Portal in the middle of the war.
Several other kings tried to persuade him, and one king even promised to give him dozens of times the land he had once granted. However, Prestor never changed his mind and always stood firmly on the side of Lordaeron. Because of this, Terenas decided to reward this young man for his loyalty.
Terenas didn't like the two heirs of Alterac. The prince supported by Solas looked burnt and unfit to be the king. The nephew supported by Gilnes had never been heard of doing anything good. The only way to hand it over to a man who could convince everyone, was talented, and seemed to be peace-loving and biased towards himself was the right choice at the time.
"Prestor, Alterac needs you now!" Terenas patted Prestor's shoulder. Prestor's blue and black uniform set off his majesty. He looked like a veteran hero. The more Terenas looked at him, the more satisfied he became. "Alterac needs peace. Please return to your hometown and bring peace to it. Believe me, no one can forget your contribution, and you will definitely get your reward."
Prestor smiled, as if he believed that Terenas would help him rebuild his poor fiefdom. He bowed gracefully to Terenas, and then slowly retreated.
After he left, the old king frowned. Without Prestor, the decorations in the palace had lost their luster. The old king did not tell Prestor that he would become the new king of Alterac. The old king wanted to see how he looked when he heard the good news. After all, not everyone with blood could become king. It was easy to help him become king. It was not difficult for him to stabilize the situation in Alterac. The Alliance must intervene when Alterac developed to this point. Among these countries, Kul Tiras and Stormwind were with him. Quel'Thalas and Dalaran, which had no conflicts of interest, could probably be won over. After all, Prestor's image was much better than the other two. With more than half of the countries supporting it, the other two countries' opposition would not cause any waves.
Alterac was given to Prestor. The next step was to tie Quel'Thalas and Dalaran to his chariot! I am old now, and I feel incapable of many things. Arthas is still young, and I must build an alliance completely led by Lordaeron before he takes the throne!
If Arthas can be half as good as Prestor, I will feel relieved. Prestor's power must also be used well. He can be used as a lubricant to smooth the relationship between the countries in the alliance. Terenas thought about the future again. Now Prestor respects me very much. Will he respect his children when I die in the future?
Terenas shook his head. It is more stable to get married. Among the unmarried princesses in Lordaeron, Kul Tiras and Stormwind, Jaina is the most suitable one. She is beautiful and smart, but unfortunately she is too young. So my daughter Calia is the only one left. Well, I should talk to my consultant about this now, and then go see Arthas. I heard that this kid was criticized by Selena and Uther recently because of his academic problems. It's really wrong...
Prestor has been living in the Hearthstone Inn in Lordaeron. As soon as he entered his room, the big black dragon threw his clothes into the brazier. Being touched by a humble human made him feel disgusted, although he knew that physical contact was inevitable in human society.
The black dragon frowned, and he felt that an outpost had been lost in his mind. It should have been captured by Richard and his men. The black dragon rubbed his brows. Although it was unpleasant that his test base was destroyed, as long as Richard could hand over all the remaining red dragon eggs to him, it would be fine. The test base could be rebuilt. After
putting on his clothes again, the black dragon turned into the beloved Lord Prestor. He went downstairs and called a spacious carriage: "Go to Alterac."
The capital of Alterac has been closed for many days. General Hass prohibited anyone from entering or leaving in order to maintain stability. But this is not a difficult task for Prestor. He jumped off the carriage and shouted to the guards: "I come for the peace of Alterac!"
The black dragon's magic voice temporarily confused the guards on the city, and the city gate opened for him. That is to say, there are no outstanding magicians in Alterac now, otherwise, he would have to work hard to get in. Prestor met Hass, and no one knew what they talked about. After the two came out of the room, Hass changed his previous defensive attitude and handed over all his soldiers to Prestor. Prestor also showed his military talent. He first attacked the prince's army and captured the prince alive, and then defeated his nephew's army head-on, forcing him to flee to Gilneas. The unrest that was originally expected to last for several months or even years was resolved in less than two weeks. After all, bewitching magic is only a side branch, and giving power is the origin of the black dragon.
