Chapter 349: In the Arena
What Sal didn't know was that only a small number of orcs had high fighting skills. Most of the orcs still used brute force to fight. These orcs with fighting skills were trained by Blackmore after Sal left. For his own secret, he needed an excellent warrior who could serve as the leader of the orcs. However, after so many years of training, there was no suitable one. He could only choose the slightly outstanding ones from these orcs for key training.
What Sal didn't know was that the only concentration camp with gladiatorial combat was Dunholde. The other gladiatorial camps either had funding problems or were afraid of the orcs' resistance after they had weapons. Only Blackmore of Dunholde had no such filter, and she only had eyes for herself.
Just like the scene before her, the orc in the arena was so tired, but Blackmore still refused to replace him and insisted on finishing the last fight.
The orc seemed to know his fate, and his face looked very depressed. Only he knew what he was like, and he was obviously pessimistic about whether he could persist in the next round.
The swaying body seemed to be about to fall to the ground at any moment, but the staff of the gladiatorial arena would not sympathize with him. Several staff members carried a new weapon, a meteor hammer, with a large iron ball covered with spikes at the front and chains and iron bars at the back. The beastman did not know who his opponent would be. Even the spectators who were farthest away could see his trembling body. Blackmore had a serious expression, and it seemed that he had made a lot of shots in this fight. He
nodded to the bottom, indicating that the final duel was about to begin. The door opened immediately, and nothing came out of the dark corridor. After a long time, something appeared at the other end of the railing. It was a huge monster with two heads.
"Is this... an ogre?"
Thrall narrowed his eyes. Although he had never seen the giant in real life, he had seen a colorful picture of an ogre in the internal book "Azeroth Biology Atlas" compiled by Kozan Publishing House. It was basically the same as the one in front of him, with two heads, a huge body, and a brain with a low IQ. The only easy-to-distinguish difference was that the one in the book was brown, while the one in front of him was sky blue.
The ogre in the arena had a very provocative look and words. His huge body only held one weapon, a spear that was longer than the orc's body. He looked very civilian. The ogre's arm span was already very scary, and now he had a long spear, so he could attack the orc from a very far distance without deliberately looking for it. Sitting on the stands, Thrall frowned and looked down. The orcs below could only survive by attacking at a close enough distance. This was the only way to win. However, the orcs below were very disadvantageous because they were using a long-range weapon, a meteor hammer.
"This is not fair! The two should use the same weapon!" an audience member shouted, and a group of people around echoed. Thrall looked at them. His mother once told him that no one in the Eastern Kingdom would sympathize with the orcs. Only those with real interests would stand up for the orcs. These people must have continued to buy the orcs to win.
Blackmore regarded their words as bullshit. Every orc he chose had to go through this stage: using inferior weapons to attack creatures that were stronger than themselves and used superior weapons. Without going through this stage, they have no right to stand in this world. This is not the first orc. If he dies, the next one will be replaced. There are more than ten orcs being cultivated together!
This ogre has killed more than ten orcs. He walked into the center of the arena like a machine. He did not look like an intelligent creature at all. It was because every battle was to use the same weapon to attack the enemy of the same race. No matter how he won, there would be no reward. It was very boring.
The ogre thrust his spear forward, with the head of the spear aimed at the orc and the tail of the spear aimed at the audience. The orc was very cautious. Thrall had never seen a real ogre, so he believed that the orc was even more cautious. He paced in a circle, carefully staring at the ogre to find his flaws. Suddenly, the orc straightened up and bounced out, swinging the meteor hammer in the air. With a roar, the orc attacked the ogre. The
ogre raised his spear and rushed over. The clumsy giant's movement had no skills at all, just a straight charge, only brutal power, and a devastating force. Any obstacles would be knocked away and smashed by him. The orc easily dodged this clumsy charge. He twisted his body and dodged the ogre's defense from below, swinging the meteor hammer heavily. The ogre cried out, slowed down, and put one hand down to cover his stomach. The spiked iron ball hit his upper abdomen firmly. After the attack, the orc immediately spun the meteor hammer to prepare for another attack. The ogre
swept with his spear, and the orc rolled forward to the back of the ogre. Before the ogre turned around, the orc found his meteor hammer and hit him on the back. The ogre only screamed, and then the ogre dropped his weapon.
A smile appeared on the orc's face. He could hear the sound just now more clearly on the battlefield. It was the sound of bones breaking. There was no doubt that the previous attack broke his spine. He had lost his ability to fight. He could survive if he was given one last episode. Many of the orc's friends never came back, so he naturally understood what was going on, especially after meeting this man. However, now it was all over.
But his joy did not last long. Just as the orc began to spin the meteor hammer again, gathering strength to smash the ogre's head, the ogre suddenly grabbed the fallen spear and twisted his body exaggeratedly. The orc was forced to swing the meteor hammer at the guy's head without gathering strength. People suddenly shouted excitedly, and everyone was excited to see the weak defeat the strong. But something unexpected happened to everyone, and also to Saul's surprise. The ogre easily stretched out a big hand, knocked down the iron ball, and pushed the spear forward at the same time. The orc dodged very dangerously. It was incredible that the ogre could still make such a move when his spine was broken. The spine is a place with many nerves, and it was not broken!
The situation was reversed. The meteor hammer was knocked away, and the spear pierced the orc's skin. The huge impact brought him down, and the ogre's big hand rushed up...
