Chapter 424: The First Defense of Quel'Thalas (Part 2)
An inconspicuous fortress in Quel'Thalas, where warriors and leaders from Quel'Thalas, Kezan, Yggdril, and Grim Batol gather. If the Undead Legion wants to attack Sylvanas Fortress and Silvermoon City, this is the only way to go.
Primadis stood beside the map and read the latest intelligence to everyone: "The intelligence has been ascertained. The Undead Legion has all arrived, including Arthas, Tichondrius, and their countless undead vassals. In addition, our scouts have discovered a new type of undead creature. After comparison, it was found to be the Nerubian Spider-Man from Northrend."
Krasus, representing the red dragon, continued: "The red dragon has burned all the trees in front of the game. The front of the fortress has been secured without any trees that can block it."
Sylvanas nodded. She had always thought that Richard was making a fuss before the undead invaded their territory. Even now, Sylvanas was confident that they could defeat them. For hundreds of years, Quel'Thalas had resisted attacks from dragons, orcs, and trolls time and time again, and had never been seriously damaged. This time would definitely be the same.
"Are you sure that the leader is Prince Alsas?"
Primadis nodded to Sylvanas with certainty. Sylvanas sighed and said, "It's incredible. I once met Prince Alsas and he was so friendly and responsible. I didn't expect that he has now become an undead leader who killed his father and teacher, destroyed the city and betrayed the country. Since he has fallen and dared to serve us, we must let him see what the true power of the elves is. Richard, I want to meet this human prince in person."
"Okay."
Sylvanas mounted his top and called his sister.
"Okay, sister." Vereesa looked at Richard and followed him out.
Sylvanas ran to the city gate with his sister. There were mountains on both sides of the city gate. The mountains were not high, only about 100 meters, but very steep. It was impossible to climb to the top quickly, so the undead army had to attack here, unless they were willing to spend more than ten days to bypass Sylvanas Fortress and take the risk of being attacked from both sides.
The two sisters were wearing leather armor, which was very cool in this weather. In this defensive battle, Sylvanas and Vereesa came to guard Quel'Thalas, while their sister stayed in Silvermoon City.
The two sisters waited here with their scouts until the night when Arthas arrived. Just like what was said in the newspapers, these corpses were full of stench. Before seeing people, you could smell their stench.
The undead did not attack the city at night. It was not until the next day that everyone saw the full picture of the undead army, which was as dark as ever. Prince Arthas rode on a skeleton warhorse with two burning eyes and a huge sword on his back. Sylvanas immediately recognized that it was a rune sword. The army of the dead followed the sword everywhere and obeyed the orders of its master. Sylvanas's eyes swept through the group of various rotten corpses, trying her best to suppress the bitterness in her stomach. She silently thanked that the wind direction had changed, blowing the stench away from her direction. Even though she was mentally prepared, it was too disgusting.
She moved her fingers quickly, and the two rangers immediately understood, nodded, and moved back, as silently as shadows. Sylvanas turned her gaze to Arthas, who seemed to have noticed nothing. From the outside, Arthas still looked like a human, but his face was pale and his golden hair had turned white, just as the scout had described to her before. A human was surrounded by the dead, such a ridiculous scene... Before
Sylvanas could take a closer look at the necromancers, a large number of holy light gunners behind him rushed up and gave Sylvanas a gun. Sylvanas picked up the gun and searched for the necromancers. In Sylvanas's view, those undead were the source of all evil. They must die.
"The enemy is attacking! Get ready!"
With one order, all the musketeers hid behind the battlements, quietly waiting for the undead to approach. Sylvanas' heart was pounding, sweat was dripping from his forehead, and he was concentrating on locating the traces of the necromancer. Suddenly, Sylvanas jumped up: "For Quel'Thalas! Drive away these invaders!"
"For Quel'Thalas! Drive them away! You are not welcome here, invaders!"
Rows of soldiers stood up and stretched out their holy light bullets.
The first wave of tentative attacks had ended, and the undead army did not even climb up the more than ten-meter-high wall. Sylvanas smiled and shouted to the people below: "I am Sylvanas Windrunner, the Ranger General of Silvermoon City. I advise you to turn around and leave immediately."
Arthas laughed. She noticed that although Arthas was still alive, his pale face was raised with gray lips: "It is you who should turn around and leave, Sylvanas. Death has taken over your kingdom!"
Sylvanas frowned: Arthas' voice was originally a pleasant baritone, but now it carried some kind of unpleasant magic, which seemed to be able to make her strong heart stop beating for a moment. Sylvanas tried her best not to tremble. She narrowed her blue eyes. "Come on. Our defense is the strongest in the world, you can't get through! You will never see Silvermoon City in your lifetime!"
Sylvanas raised the Holy Light Lance, which was a signal to attack. In a blink of an eye, holy light bullets and arrows filled the sky. Sylvanas aimed at the human prince... the prince who was once a human, and shot. Her shooting was as accurate as usual, and the holy light bullet flew towards Arthas's unprotected head with a visible outline. However, just before hitting the target, she saw a light blue light.
Sylvanas stared at the scene in front of her. Arthas drew his sword faster than she could understand. The runes on the sword shone with an icy blue light, and it actually split the holy light bullet in two with one blow. He sneered and winked at her.
"Attack with all your forces and kill them all, leaving no one alive! Let them serve me and my master!" Arthas' voice carried a strange sound that echoed for a long time on the battlefield. Sylvanas let out a low roar from her throat and aimed her gun again. But Arthas had already galloped on his horse, the speed of the death warriors was extraordinary, and Sylvanas had no way to aim at him. More importantly, more undeads began to attack...
