Chapter 63: Tomb of Sargeras
Somewhere in the sea, an island slowly emerged. On the island stood a striking green palace. Gul'dan and his servants pushed open the gate... The
dragon rider hidden in the clouds watched the whole process and reported the news to Kozan Island.
"They really succeeded. Let's go!"
Richard checked his equipment, put it on correctly, rode on Onyxia's dragon back and flew into the sky. Dozens of dragon riders followed behind. Vashj also put on armor that she hadn't worn for some time and led the Nagas into the water, heading straight for the new island.
Passing by a group of islands called the Broken Islands, Richard looked out on the dragon's back. The brilliant purple city was radiating light. It was Surama, the city of the fallen night elves who inhabited the islands. Their magic wine was a good thing. The Broken Isles was also a good place. The merchant group could earn a considerable income from the goods purchased from here and sold them to other places. But there was a damn Titan on it. Richard would not attack the Broken Islands before finding out the enemy's strength.
The newly formed island was near the Broken Islands. By lowering the altitude, a two-headed ogre in a robe could be seen.
That should be Gu'gal, Richard thought.
The Naga who arrived at the predetermined position launched an attack. Richard waved his hand and the dragon riders rushed down. Gu'gal and his ogres were unable to resist and were captured.
Onyxia landed in front of the palace, and Richard jumped down and looked up at the palace.
The dark green palace was built of bricks and crystals, and it was magnificent. I don't know how much effort the architect spent. Many years ago, the archmage Aegwynn sealed the incarnation of Sargeras, the fallen Titan and the Lord of the Burning Legion who destroyed countless worlds, here forever. From then on, this building had another name-the Tomb of Sargeras.
"Tomb of Sargeras, I still came in."
Aegwynn imposed several seals on the Tomb of Sargeras, which was originally located on the seabed, so that all races in Azeroth could not enter the tomb to explore the secrets inside. Richard, whose real body is N'Zoth, is no exception, but Gul'dan, who pursues power, is not a native resident of Azeroth, and the seal did not have the effect it should have.
Richard gathered holy light in his left hand to illuminate the dim tomb, and walked forward following the orcs' footprints.
There were constant cries and eerie laughter coming from the depths of the tomb. It was probably the ugly appearance of Gul'dan's poor servants who were alone before they died.
In a hall, Gul'dan fell to the ground, and a deformed monster behind him stretched out its claws and stabbed him.
Richard gathered the holy light in his left hand into a sword and directly chopped off the deformed monster's head.
Gul'dan raised his head with difficulty, and a strange sound came out of his throat: "It's you... You really are... not... an ordinary person..."
Richard asked: "Where is the main tomb?"
Gul'dan was about to answer, and a gust of wind with shadows swallowed Gul'dan.
"Help...Help me!"
Richard stood still as he watched the shadows engulf Gul'dan, watching his flesh and blood being peeled off bit by bit, and finally turning into a pile of bones.
Richard picked up Gul'dan's skull, and some green energy was still dripping along the edge.
"This is a good thing." Richard looked at the darkness in the depths. "Do you think I don't know the way after killing Gul'dan?"
Richard's whole body was emitting light, dispelling the shadows around him, and he found the main tomb along the bloodstains. The main tomb was so dark that even Richard's whole body emitting holy light could not illuminate it.
The darkness inside gradually gathered into various shapes. These things looked like demons but were not demons.
Richard placed his left hand on the Holy Grail, and the holy light on his body was transformed into shadows. His entire right arm turned into more than ten tentacles that pierced into the room, greedily absorbing the darkness in the room. After a while, the darkness was completely absorbed, leaving only a green gem named the Eye of Sargeras shining on the table.
"Darkness is universal. These things of yours are deadly enemies to Gul'dan, but they are only food to fill my stomach."
Richard walked to the gem and said.
"En... Zo... S"
a vague voice floated out of the gem.
"It's me."
"This world... will be destroyed... and so will you, the Old Gods..."
"You and your legion have destroyed world after world, crushed Old God after Old God. But believe me, I still have this world that will become your nightmare."
"Hehehe..."
Richard placed a hand on the Eye of Sargeras. Hundreds of tentacles from deep behind him penetrated into every corner of the Tomb of Sargeras, absorbing the energy from the dark creatures, and then infusing it into the Eye of Sargeras, draining the energy of the entire tomb before turning the gem black. The will of Sargeras inside had disappeared.
Richard returned along the same route and came to the hall where Gul'dan died. He saw an orc warlock lying on the ground pretending to be dead. From this angle, you could still see his trembling broken teeth.
Richard chuckled and ignored him.
The orc warlock got up only after making sure Richard was far away, took off his clothes, and put Gul'dan's corpse inside. He half-crouched and quietly walked out.
The battle was still going on near the island. The dragon riders sent by the Hammer of Doom to hunt down Gul'dan were fighting the summons of the Nagas. Four nearly 100-meter-tall water giants were swinging huge waves with lightning flashing in the waves. The rapidly rotating vortex in their bodies could cut everything that entered into their bodies into pieces. Vashj called this summon the Wrath of N'Zoth.
Richard walked up to Cho'gall with Gul'dan's skull: "Your master is dead. From today on, I am your new master."
Without waiting for Cho'gall to answer, Richard infused his shadow energy directly into Cho'gall's body.
"Retreat!" The leading orc knight knew he couldn't win, so he chose to retreat.
"A wise choice."
Richard threw Gul'dan's skull to Vashj: "Take it as a deterrent."
The ogres were taken to the ship they came on. Richard looked back at the Tomb of Sargeras: "Everyone, return!"
Somewhere in the unknown starry sky, Kil'jaeden, an important leader of the Burning Legion, woke up from meditation. During his meditation, he heard the whispers of Sargeras.
He summoned a demon.
"I want you to go to Draenor, the homeland of the orcs. There is a dark portal there. You enter Azeroth from there and look for an old god named N'Zoth. He has two important treasures in his hand, one is the green gem Eye of Sargeras, and the other is the head of the orc warlock Gul'dan. Go and get these two things."
The demon's name was the Fallen Guan Qi. He nodded.
"There is a helper here. She knows a lot about the ancient god."
A succubus emerged from the shadows.
"Look forward to your good news."
The Fallen and the succubus disappeared into the shadows. If Richard was here, he would definitely call out the succubus's name - Iori.
