Chapter 96 The Horde Returns
The orcs invaded. A week after Richard and Sylvanas fired cannons at Nethergarde, the Dark Portal was reopened, and an organized orc tribe appeared on Azeroth again. Alliance commander Turalyon sent the son of King Thoras of Stromgarde to lead a group of soldiers to investigate. The tribe was led by the legendary warrior Grommash. Hellroar.
Grommash and Talon. Bloodfiend led the orcs to occupy a valley and rescued a group of orcs from the Bleeding Hollow Clan. Talon. Bloodfiend ordered his death knights to fill the valley with fog. Grommash and his warriors from the Warsong Clan collected their weapons and hid themselves.
There were kicking and stomping sounds. Grommash pricked up his ears to listen. This sound belonged to beasts, and was different from the species in Draenor. This species was unique to humans!
Grommash raised Bloodroar and roared: "Dispel the fog! Humans are coming!"
The death knights put away their magic, and the sun shone again in the valley. A group of cavalrymen were marching quickly in the valley. The man in the middle, who was wearing heavy armor with golden lace on his armor, was particularly eye-catching.
Grommash raised Bloodroar, and the sunlight reflected on the axe, making it penetrating: "For the Horde!"
Grommash rushed the fastest, and with his axe in hand, he easily chopped a dazed knight in half. Grommash did not revel in his achievements and continued to hack and kill. His warriors also reentered the crowd and plundered lives wantonly. The human warriors were brave, and some had good skills, but they were not as strong as the orcs, which made it difficult for them to resist the Warsong warriors who were charging from a high position.
Grommash's blood was boiling in his body. For a moment, he could only feel the stench of his limbs and the screams before death. There was no need to feel any guilt for killing the aliens. This feeling was too perfect. Grommash was only intoxicated when he saw the flesh-colored guys falling one by one. However, among the many corpses, he and his warriors did not find the leader.
Grommash found Talon: "Someone escaped. He must go to the fortress, and the fortress must be defended!"
Talon said: "Then follow him. Don't give the fortress time to rest and counterattack!"
Grommash nodded: "Leave it to me."
"You have to hold on for a few days. My people and I will look for the artifact. We will support you immediately after we find it."
Grommash actually didn't trust these "dead" guys very much, but as long as what they did was beneficial to the tribe, Grommash would stand on their side and complete the tasks they gave him, such as attacking Nethergarde.
"Open the door! Open the door!" Danas, the son of King Soras who luckily survived, fled back to Nethergarde. He fell off his horse, grabbed the guard's collar and shouted, "Who is in charge here? Who is in charge here! I want to see him! Now! Immediately!"
The guard pushed him away: "Excuse me, your name! What do you want to report!"
"I don't have time to talk to you about this nonsense! Take me to see the person in charge!"
"It's me." Khadgar stood behind him and said, "You are Danas. Trollbane? Aren't you with Turajan?"
Danas nodded and said, "Yes, I am. There is no time to talk about that. Prepare for defense. The Horde is coming!"
Khadgar stared at him in surprise with wide eyes and waved his hand to order the soldiers to climb the city wall.
A guard handed Danas a water bag. Danas drank the water and said, "Turayan ordered me to lead half of the Stormwind soldiers to the Dark Portal to investigate the situation, but we came too late. The orcs have already passed through the Dark Portal and are waiting for us. My children are..."
Danas trembled and shed tears when he talked about his soldiers. Khadgar comforted him. The alarm sounded on the city wall, and the orcs were attacking.
Khadgar and Danas climbed up the city wall. Khadgar looked at the orc troops, about a few hundred people, and they should be just their vanguard.
Danath asked, "How are you going to defend the city?"
Khadgar smiled and said, "Just watch." Khadgar waved his hands in both directions. A group of Dalaran mages in purple robes shook their hands and brewed their magic.
Under Khadgar's leadership, Nethergarde strongly resisted the orcs, but the guards of the Stormwind Royal Library could not stop Talon and his death knights.
"It's not here!"
"What?" Talon. Bloodseeker walked over and saw an empty glass box, and in the velvet lining of the glass box lay a card quietly. Talon picked it up and saw that it said "Book of Medivh."
"Damn it!" Talon and his helpers searched every corner of the Royal Library but found no clues. Talon poked the floor with his sword helplessly, "We have to look for the other two first. Let's go find the two Blackhand brothers first."
Kilrogg, the chieftain of the Bleeding Hollow Clan who was rescued before, told them that in addition to the exiled Frostwolf Clan, there are also the Dragonmaw Clan who are hiding from the Alliance in the mountains of Grim Batol and the Blackrock Clan who are entrenched in Blackrock Mountain on the land of Azeroth, and both clans have dragons. The Blackrock Clan is very close to here. They are now controlled by Blackhand's two sons, Rend and Maim. They live a very leisurely life in Blackrock Spire on Blackrock Mountain. Talon. Bloodthirst is not sure that he can persuade them to rejoin the tribe.
The Book of Medivh that Talon Bloodthirst wants to find is now lying in the underground laboratory on Kozan Island. Richard is standing behind Vashj and watching her make the final calculations.
"Finished!" Vashj put down the pen, and Richard wiped her sweat.
"How is it?"
Vashj replied: "Medivh is worthy of being the most outstanding wizard in the world. The profound space theory becomes simple and easy to understand under his not complicated formula calculation."
Not complicated? Richard looked at the strange symbols on the paper and felt that this was thousands of times more difficult than the advanced mathematics he learned.
Vashj continued, "With this knowledge, we can open a more stable and accurate portal."
"Accurate?"
"Yes." Vashj explained, "By sensing energy in the void, Medivh can measure the coordinates of the energy source and then open the portal. That's how the Dark Portal came about. Medivh also wrote a method of energy analysis, which can help us understand what kind of world is on the other side, and even peek into the other side."
Richard suddenly became interested, "Have you learned this method?"
Vashj nodded.
"Give it to me!"
It's not difficult to analyze energy. There are no complicated formulas. Richard learned it quickly. He sank his consciousness into the void and began to search for a world that he could, oh no, explore.
