A distant, crackling sound of firecrackers came from outside the window. Bai Xing frowned, hugged the quilt, turned over and continued to sleep soundly.

Bai Xing saw her sister looking at the little Nian beast, so she happily picked it up and presented it to her.
"Sister, this is a New Year's gift for you." She said shamelessly, and Bai Zhu glared at her unhappily.
"Okay, stop teasing it. Do you want to keep this little guy?" Bai Zhu saw what his sister was thinking at a glance.
Bai Xing smiled and said, "Sister, it came to me on its own, I didn't force you to raise it~!"
Bai Zhu was helpless. He lowered his head and looked at the Nian beast pretending to be dead. His slender fingers scratched its soft belly. The Nian beast was still pretending to be dead, but this time he couldn't help but curl up comfortably.
