Chapter 2 Becoming a Prince

It had been three days since the little prince was born. As soon as the imperial decree of amnesty was issued, the entire capital became bustling.

People coming and going, all with a smile on their faces, "Your Majesty finally has a prince to inherit the incense!"

"Yes, yes, our Majesty is very hardworking, which is why we can live and work in peace and contentment!"

"What do you mean by diligence? That's working day and night! I must have moved heaven by copying scriptures for Your Majesty every day."

"Fuck you! That's your Majesty's contribution."

When these words reached the restaurant's private room, some people felt as if their butts were on fire and were fidgeting. "Brother, if that's the case, then wouldn't the adoption of a son be void?"

Yan Zeli also frowned. The palace maids placed beside the imperial concubine were trained by them since childhood.

If it weren't for her clean background, she wouldn't have been able to get into the Imperial Concubine's bedroom. Yesterday, the maid had gone through great pains to get out of the palace and told him everything.

When Yan Zeli heard that the little prince was supposed to be dead and then came back to life, he felt like he couldn't breathe.

Your Majesty is in the prime of life and holds great power.

They didn't dare to cause trouble, but since they had no offspring for decades, it was no wonder that their relatives had evil thoughts.

His father, Prince An, had been pretending to be a scoundrel for so many years before His Majesty was relieved. Originally, the adoption was a sure thing, but who knew a pregnant palace maid would appear halfway through.

They had done everything they could to make the imperial concubine give birth to a difficult child. Who knew this little prince was so lucky that he could come back from death!

"Be careful with your words and don't mention this matter again." Yan Zeli frowned and warned.

Yan Zexin shuddered and quickly turned his head to look around. If this were to reach His Majesty's ears, no matter who you are from the clan, you will all die.

Children are weak and might die from the wind one day.

Yan Zeli continued to warm the wine, but no matter how fragrant the wine was, he did not drink another glass.

"A-choo——" Li Chengyu wrinkled his nose and sneezed loudly.

He has opened his eyes now, and his round, black eyes reduce the deadness of his appearance and add a touch of liveliness.

Who is saying bad things about him? They are really asking for a beating. Li Chengyu clenched his fists, wishing he could beat them to death.

He is still young and can only do this much.

As soon as Emperor Mingxi came in, he saw his son sneeze. His expression froze, and he raised his hand slightly. "How dare you."

The sudden thunderclap frightened even the imperial concubine, not to mention the palace maids serving her inside and outside.

They all knelt on the ground.

"Your Majesty, what did I do wrong?" The imperial concubine was unable to get out of bed and could only lie down.

Emperor Mingxi still gave face to the woman who gave birth to a prince and continued his family lineage.

"Your Highness, there is no need to be so polite. How dare you neglect the prince?" The voice was filled with endless chill.

Wu Zhonghe reacted quickly, kicked a few of them away, ran to the window and closed it, "You little slaves, how can you be a servant! How old is the little prince now? How many heads can you chop off if the wind blows?"

Although Emperor Mingxi was decisive in killing people, he was not difficult to serve on a daily basis.

But his beloved son, whom he cherished with all his heart, would make him anxious at the slightest sign of trouble.

Emperor Mingxi looked at his son with wide eyes, quickly suppressed his anger, and smiled slightly, "My son, I am your father."

After coaxing her for a while, he glanced at the palace full of people and his anger rose again. "Suppress her, give her twenty lashes of the cane, and banish her from the palace."

How dare he neglect his child like this, knowing that the child was born with deficiencies.

Among these people was Yunxiang, how could the imperial concubine bear to let her go? She quickly pleaded, "Your Majesty, the people in the palace have served me for a long time, please show mercy."

But the Emperor Mingxi narrowed his eyes and said mercilessly, "You are the mother of the emperor's son, and you should take good care of him. I punished these negligent palace servants, and you plead for them? Imperial Concubine, can't you see the emperor's body?"

The current emperor has been on the throne for many years and has an astonishing aura. The imperial concubine faced the emperor's wrath head-on.

Too scared to speak.

The little prince Li Chengyu looked at his father with wide eyes, amazed in his heart, he was indeed a wise ruler of all ages, his pressure was so great.

But his beautiful mother had been scolded by his father, and little Chengyu couldn't bear it, so he opened his little mouth and burst into tears.

Emperor Mingxi held the child and coaxed him for a long time, but he didn't get better. He panicked and said, "Come, call the imperial physician."

Wu Zhonghe looked at the wise and powerful emperor who was so anxious that he was running around in circles. He said quickly, "Your Majesty, as the saying goes, mother and child are connected by heart. Perhaps the concubine is sad, and the little prince is filial and feels sorry for her!"

After hearing this, Emperor Mingxi stepped forward quickly and handed the child to the imperial concubine. "Hurry up and comfort the prince. I won't say anything to you."

The imperial concubine hurriedly wiped away her tears, her heart moved, and she held the child tightly.

Sure enough, the little prince shut his mouth as soon as he was in the imperial concubine's arms.

Emperor Mingxi breathed a sigh of relief, looking at his son who was only talking nonsense and not delivering any results. "You little rascal, you're so young and you already feel sorry for your mother, why don't you feel sorry for your father?"

Li Chengyu looked at him innocently.

"Forget it, let's just consider it as praying for the emperor's son and deduct one month's salary from each person."

Everyone kowtowed to express their gratitude and praised Your Majesty's wisdom.

They were all determined to die, but unexpectedly they were saved by the little prince by accident.

For a moment, she wished she could die for the prince.

"Ding—obtain a strand of the Imperial Concubine's favorite, rewarding lifespan +3"

Did this happen? Li Chengyu has tried various methods these days, including but not limited to howling at the top of his lungs and acting cute whenever he sees someone.

He basically contacted everyone in the Huaqing Palace, but he didn't get any reward and was exhausted.

After searching for it everywhere, I finally found it without any effort.

It is also possible that it takes three days to collect one strand, but the reward he gets from collecting for one time is only three days.

What should I do? If I delay for a while, I’ll die.
