Chapter 13 Qin Jianjun's Plan

While the old lady was cooking dinner, Zhang Xiumei pulled up her husband's trouser legs.

I saw that the ankle was swollen to the size of a bowl, and was red and swollen.

Seeing this, her tears fell down.

With his back so swollen and the mountain road so difficult to walk on, I really don’t know how he walked back: “Does it hurt?”

Qin Jiandang shook his head indifferently: "It's okay, just rest for two days."

Zhao Yan also looked at her husband's legs. Although they were not as swollen as her eldest brother's, they also looked serious.

Xie Yuwei, who had been in the living room, felt bad: "Brother, I'm sorry, for making you suffer for Han'er's milk powder."

"It's okay, it's okay. We are not precious people, so this injury is nothing.

Besides, we didn’t go there just for Han’er, we also bought food for the whole family.” Qin Jianguo said immediately.

"Sister-in-law, this injury looks serious, but it's actually just a sprain. No bones are hurt. It will heal in a few days. Don't blame yourself!" Qin Jiandang put down his trouser legs.

He is not that pretentious that he would make the whole family sad over a little injury.

"That's right, you women cry when you get hurt a little, and you can't accomplish anything great!" Qin Jianjun disagreed.

Some time ago, he was injured much more seriously than this, but they didn't show any concern.

As soon as he finished speaking, Old Man Qin hit him hard on the head with his fingers: "Asshole, your elder brother and second brother became like this just for the sake of our family's food.

It would be fine if you, as a younger brother, didn't care, but you are still standing here and acting as if it has nothing to do with you. You really have no conscience."

His wrinkled face was filled with dark clouds and his eyes could spit fire.

Although he is old, he still has strength.

Qin Jianjun covered his head in pain and said dissatisfiedly: "I wanted to go with you before, but you didn't let me go. Otherwise, I would definitely not have been injured."

"You still said..." Old man Qin raised his hand and was about to hit him again.

Seeing that the situation was not good, Qin Jianjun was so scared that he quickly hid in the room and locked the door.

In the evening, Old Lady Qin stir-fried some Chinese cabbage and put a few slices of fat in it, and the flavor came out immediately.

Another dish was roasted meat with potatoes, but it also contained fat.

She squeezed out some of the fat from the meat so that it wouldn't be greasy to eat.

Finally, I made meatball soup for Xie Yuwei. I gave all the meatballs to Xie Yuwei and gave a bowl of soup to the eldest and second oldest child.

Each child was given a piece of fat meat.

Everyone ate carefully, reluctant to finish it in one bite, but they all had satisfied smiles on their faces.

Seeing the children enjoying their meals made the adults happy too.

It can be said that this meal is even more sumptuous than the one we eat during the Chinese New Year.

Old Mrs. Qin didn’t know why, but even though it was a home-cooked dish, it tasted much better than before.

Even the rice can taste different.

But she felt that this had something to do with God's gift.

The rice and potatoes rewarded to Lao Qin’s family must be products from heaven. How could the food eaten by immortals not taste good?

Just looking at the children holding a piece of fat meat with chopsticks and being reluctant to eat it, she felt sad and couldn't help sighing.

"Mom, what's wrong with you?" Qin Jiandang asked after putting down his chopsticks.

Old Lady Qin then said, "It's okay for us adults not to eat meat, but look at these children, they are all skinny and sallow, and look malnourished. It makes me sad to see them!"

"The Chinese New Year is just a month away, and I guess the village will organize a hunting trip into the mountains in a few days.

When the time comes, all three of us brothers will sign up, and we will definitely be able to harvest some prey!" Qin Jiandang said immediately, and he had already planned this.

But when Qin Jianjun heard that they were going to go hunting, he was so scared that he shook his head repeatedly: "My injuries haven't healed yet, and I've never hunted before. It would be troublesome if I go. You guys go!"

Just last year, someone from the village went hunting and when he came back his legs were gone. It was said that they were bitten off by a wild boar.

He is still lying in bed and needs help with eating, drinking, defecating and urinating.

He doesn't want to become a waste!

Qin Jiandang hadn't expected anything from him in the first place: "You don't have to go, but you have to take good care of the family. If my second brother and I come back and see you making trouble again, don't blame us for being ruthless!"

During this period, the third child performed well and at least he was able to help with housework, otherwise he would not be at ease leaving the third child at home.

However, Old Lady Qin didn't want them to go either: "Why not just forget it? It's too dangerous in the deep mountains and old forests. It's not worth it to risk your life just to eat meat!"

The children were also very sensible and each of them said that they did not want to eat meat.

However, the eldest and second brother had made up their minds. They decided this on the way back.

No matter what, I must let my family eat meat this year.

The next morning, when Xie Yuwei thought there would be rice and potatoes in the room, it turned out to be empty.

But she wasn't the greedy type, so she wasn't disappointed when she saw that there was nothing.

After all, the sudden appearance of so much food in the house was a gift from God.

When Old Lady Qin and the others saw it, they didn't say anything.

They are all grateful people who know what satisfaction is.

In Qin Han's Qiankun world, rice and potatoes were almost piled up into small mountains.

There are still dozens of acres of spiritual fields that can be harvested.

However, Qin Han was not in a hurry to harvest. The potatoes and rice piled up into small hills weighed hundreds of thousands of kilograms in total.

This amount of food is enough for the Qin family to eat for a lifetime, so he doesn't plan to plant these crops for the time being.
