Chapter 139: Shrew

Chapter 139: Shrew

When Li Taohua woke up, the ox cart in the yard was gone.

She stood under the eaves and stretched lazily.

Her hair was fluffy and messy at this moment, but it didn't give people the feeling of being unkempt. She just felt that with this messy hair, she had a kind of lazy and charming charm like a cat.

Tang Yixiao came back from outside with a little rabbit in his hand.

"Where did it come from?" Li Taohua asked.

"I went to the outskirts of the mountain to dig up some wild flowers, intending to plant them in the corner of the yard. It bumped into my yard, so I caught it back."

Tang Yi said with a smile, and put the rabbit into the chicken coop. He put down the backpack and transplanted the wild flowers and various plants that could be used as seasonings that he dug from the mountains to the corner of the yard.

Seeing that the two little girls had not yet gotten up, Li Taohua went into the kitchen and made some simple pancakes.

Qin Huiyin and Tang Luwu woke up by smelling the fragrance. They smelled the fragrance and looked at the light outside the window, knowing that they woke up late today. However, since it was a rare opportunity to relax, they might as well be lazy.

The two sisters got up and washed up. They saw the plants in the corner of the yard, then looked at Tang Yixiao who was playing with the little rabbit, and asked about what happened last night.

"Were Uncle Carpenter and Brother Dazhu drunk last night?"

Tang Yi smiled and said, "Although he wasn't drunk, he was almost drunk. He was staggering when he walked. I followed them and watched them lie down before I came back."

"I thought you went to bed early." Tang Luwu was surprised, "Don't you always go to bed early?"

"You guys are all busy, how can I sleep alone? I helped Third Grandpa back home, then came back to wash the dishes before I went to sleep."

"Then you..." Tang Luwu lowered her voice and said, "Didn't you see it?"

Tang Yi smiled and looked up, blinking his eyes: "I didn't see anything."

Qin Huiyin burst into laughter: "Little rascal."

Tang Yi pouted and smiled: "Next time if there is something fun like this, remember to call me."

"Although you didn't participate, you helped us solve the worries! Look, this room is so clean!" Qin Huiyin touched Tang Yixiao's head, "And these plants are all things I need. My little brother is becoming more and more responsible now, and he is worthy of being the man of our family."

"Please don't touch my head the same way you touch steamed buns." Tang Yi smiled with disgust, but did not avoid Qin Huiyin's palm.

Li Taohua shouted, "Wash your hands and eat."

Today was still busy. After breakfast, they were about to start working today. But everyone was doing it more smoothly and everything was getting more and more orderly.

Qin Huiyin went to the village chief's house and put the house building on the agenda. When the village chief's son saw her drawings, he knew it was a big job and immediately went out to gather craftsmen who had built houses before.

Qin Huiyin mentioned that she had a lot of things to do at home. Tang Dafu was being treated at a large clinic in the city due to a relapse of his leg injury, so the house building matter needed to be handed over to Tang Cheng, the son of the village chief.

When Qin Huiyin returned home from the village chief, she saw an old woman sitting on the edge of a field, slapping her legs and crying: "Oh my God, who is this rotten thing that pulled out all my vegetables? He wants to kill me... So many vegetables are gone overnight, and he is not afraid that his son will not grow an asshole after eating them. He is so black-hearted. He is a thief with a rotten heart, lungs and liver. He will not have a good end after eating them..."

"Zhang Lei's mother, why are you crying? These vegetables are not yours." A passing woman was holding a wooden basin, trying to stir up trouble. "If anyone is going to cry, it should be Zhou's wife, right?"

"Zhou Zhaodi...Yes, this matter is closely related to Zhou Zhaodi." Grandma Zhang got up and ran towards Carpenter Zhang's house with extremely agile posture.

Qin Huiyin walked slowly, greeting the villagers she passed by. When she met villagers who liked to chat or inquire about how much money their family earned, she would patiently stop to deal with them.

When she got home, Grandma Zhang was banging on the door angrily.

Carpenter Zhang and his companions locked the door when they left. Although it was a thatched house, you couldn't just enter it if you wanted to. Grandma Zhang couldn't get in, and seeing that no one was at home, she was so angry that she slammed the door to vent her anger.

Li Taohua, Tang Luwu and his sister, Song Tieniu and Zhang Jieba stood at the door and watched Grandma Zhang go crazy. They did not try to persuade her or stop her, but just watched her lose control.

"My daughter, you're back." Li Taohua waved to Qin Huiyin. "Look at this old woman, she's really brainless."

"Mom, I've already taken care of the house building matters. Let's continue making the sauce and stop watching the fun." Qin Huiyin pulled Li Taohua inside.

Li Taohua shouted in the direction of Grandma Zhang: "Grandma Zhang, you borrowed the lock from my family. If you break it, I'll ask you to compensate me! It's okay, I'm not trying to persuade you, you can continue to break it, and if you break it, just compensate me. It's only fifty cents anyway."

Grandma Zhang stopped moving.

She glared angrily in the direction of Li Taohua.

Li Taohua stopped, put her hands on her hips, and looked at Grandma Zhang coldly.

Grandma Zhang was scared.

Li Taohua was a famous woman, and she was as famous for her beauty as for her sassy personality. There was a saying in the village: Don't mess with Li Taohua, the thorny flower.

Grandma Zhang left in shame.

Qin Huiyin and others continued to busy themselves with their own affairs.

When Qin Huiyin and others were free, they saw Tang Yixiao coming in with a washed dead rabbit, and their faces were full of surprise.

"I thought you were going to keep it."

"Rabbits need to dig holes, which is too troublesome to raise. It's better to feed them directly into our stomachs." Tang Yi said with a smile, "Second sister, how do you think we can eat them properly?"

"Let's have rabbit meat hotpot tonight!" Qin Huiyin said, "Brother Tieniu, Brother Sanjin, and my two sisters-in-law, you can stay and eat with us!"

"We don't need it. You paid us wages, how can we take it and eat it at the same time?" Xiang Chuntao refused.

"It turns out that Sister Chuntao is so distant with us! I thought we were so familiar with each other that we could be considered friends, and we could still have dinner together." Qin Huiyin pretended to be disappointed.

"Okay, okay, I'm stupid if I don't eat when there's food to eat." Xiang Chuntao couldn't do anything about her. "Then little boss sister, please teach me how to cook. I want to learn some cooking skills from you, too."

Wang Juying echoed: "Yes, you teach us and we will do it."

Li Taohua carried the basket on her back and said to Qin Huiyin, "My girl, I'm going to the vegetable garden to pick some vegetables. We have to add some greens to the hot pot tonight."

Qin Huiyin responded: "Okay, mother."

Tang Luwu wanted to help, but was stopped by Li Taohua: "Go help Yinyin."

Tang Luwu looked at the helpers around Qin Huiyin, then looked at Song Tieniu and Zhang Jieba who were still on standby, and didn't understand what else she could do.

Tang Yixiao counted the chicks in the chicken coop and said to Tang Luwu, "Sister, two chicks are missing."

When Tang Luwu heard this, she immediately rushed over to count them: "Why are there two missing? Did I count wrong?"
