Li Shuwan sat alone in the living room sulking. She had thought Fang Jiantao would come out to coax her, but Fang Jiantao ignored her even after she sat in the living room for two hours!
Li Shuwan returned to the bedroom angrily and saw that Fang Jiantao had already fallen asleep. She walked to the bed and shook Fang Jiantao hard, trying to wake him up.

After dinner, Fang Jiantao drove Ji Yao back to the Xia Garment Factory. After getting out of the car, Ji Yao said to him, "Mayor Fang, thank you for taking me back! Please drive carefully on your way back."
After saying that, she went into the garment factory. Fang Jiantao drove away reluctantly only when he could no longer see her.
The next morning, Ji Yao went to the city hall to sign up for the civil service exam.
The results came out soon after the written test. Ji Yao ranked third and successfully entered the interview.
After the interview, Ji Yao was told that she had been hired and would officially start work next Monday.
After Ji Yao walked out of the city government, she found a public telephone booth and called Fang Jiantao to tell her that she had passed the exam.
"Then I'm going to celebrate for you tonight!" Fang Jiantao said.
"Let's go to the same restaurant as yesterday. I'll treat you to dinner today." Ji Yao said.
After making an appointment with Fang Jiantao, Ji Yao returned to the garment factory and found Yang Qian.
"Fang Jiantao has taken the bait. I will start working at the municipal government next week." Ji Yao said.

"When can Yunyan cash the money she promised to give me?" Ji Yao asked.

"Don't worry about Li Shuwan. How is the relationship between you and Ye Fan?" Yun Yan asked.
Yang Qian and Ye Fan were secretly dating. If they hadn't been caught red-handed by Liu Yanchuan the day before yesterday, perhaps no one would still be kept in the dark.
"Ye Fan and I are just ordinary friends. Don't listen to Liu Yanchuan's nonsense." Yang Qian said stubbornly.
