"Madam, are we in Beijing now? This is too fast. It feels like we haven't been sitting here for long!" Aunt Zheng said.
"It's because planes are fast that air tickets are expensive!" Yun Yan said with a smile.
I had already greeted Shen Ye's grandparents before coming, so as soon as I walked out of the airport gate, I saw Grandpa Shen's driver waiting for them there.
After leaving the airport, Yun Yan asked the driver to take Aunt Zheng to her and Shen Ye's new house first. After arriving at the place, Yun Yan gave the keys and luggage to Aunt Zheng and asked her to clean the house first, as she would stay there during her stay in Beijing.
She was not used to living with people she didn't know, so after saying hello to Shen Ye's grandparents, she still had to come back to the new house!
The car quickly arrived at the military compound, and the sentry let it pass after seeing the license plate number.
After arriving at Grandpa Shen’s residence, Yun Yan walked in.
"Grandpa and grandma, I'm back." Yun Yan greeted them warmly.
"Yan Yan is back. Are you tired from the plane ride?" Grandpa Shen asked.
"It's not tiring. It's much easier than taking the train." Yun Yan said.
"Why didn't Xiaoye come back with you?" asked Grandma Liang.
"He is busy with work in Shenzhen and has no time." Yun Yan said.
"I'm busy with work, but I should always find time to come back and visit!" Grandma Liang said unhappily.
"What do you know? Xiaoye is the director of the Shenzhen Investment Promotion Office. Can he just leave so easily? The construction of the special economic zone is one of the most important development plans of the country at present. The burden on Xiaoye's shoulders is not light!" Grandpa Shen said.
"You old man, I was just complaining casually, why are you making such a big deal out of it?" said Grandma Liang.
"Grandma, don't be unhappy. Although Chen Ye didn't come back, I brought you a gift!" Yun Yan said.
"Yanyan is still a good boy, but you don't need to bring gifts for grandpa and grandma. We have everything we need living here." Grandma Liang said.
"The one I brought cannot be bought anywhere else. It's the only one!" Yun Yan said.
"Yan Yan, what gift did you bring for us? It's so rare and there's only one of it." Grandpa Shen asked.
"Grandpa and grandma, I'm pregnant!" Yun Yan said with a smile.
After hearing her words, Grandpa Shen and Grandma Liang were stunned. After a while, they came over with a smile on their faces and held her.
"Yan Yan, is what you just said true?" asked Grandma Liang.
"It's true, grandma! I'm more than three months pregnant." Yun Yan said.
“It’s been more than three months, why didn’t you tell us?” Grandpa Shen said blamingly.
"I just want to give you a surprise." Yun Yan said.
"Yan Yan, the first three months of pregnancy are the most important. Is your morning sickness severe?" asked Grandma Liang.
"When I was just two months pregnant, I had severe morning sickness, but it's all gone now. Everything I eat tastes delicious!" said Yun Yan.
"So are you planning to give birth in Jing City?" Grandpa Shen asked.
"It depends on the situation, but I will stay in Beijing for the time being. I have several clothing stores in Beijing that are about to open." Yun Yan said.
"Why are you still so busy now that you are pregnant? Just leave the business matters to others. The most important thing for you now is to take good care of the fetus and give birth to the baby! There is no end to making money." Grandma Liang said.
"Grandma, I don't have to worry too much. I'll just give them some advice. It won't have any impact." Yun Yan said.
"I see you haven't taken your luggage yet. Are you planning to live in your new house?" Grandma Liang asked unhappily.
"Grandma, I hired a nanny to take care of me. I brought her with me to Beijing this time. She is very experienced in taking care of pregnant women and will not let your great-grandson suffer!" Yun Yan said.
"Yan Yan, since you have made all the arrangements, grandma and I won't say much. But you must be careful. When you are free in Beijing, come and spend more time with us two old guys!" Grandpa Shen said.
He could understand that young people had their own ideas and didn't like living with the elderly. As long as Yunyan could live a good life with Xiaoye and give birth to the child safely, he wouldn't say anything more.
"I understand, Grandpa," Yun Yan said.
She had sent Aunt Zheng and the luggage to the new house in advance so that she wouldn't have to live with them. Since Grandpa Shen was so open-minded, she was naturally very happy. After all, they were Shen Ye's grandparents, and Yun Yan didn't want to make the relationship with them too awkward!
After having dinner at Grandpa Shen's place, he asked the driver to take Yunyan home.
After Yunyan left, Grandma Liang immediately said in a reproachful tone, "Old man, Yunyan wants to live outside, why didn't you stop her?"
"They young people have their own ideas. Why do you insist on dragging her to live with us two old guys?" Grandpa Shen said.
"Yunyan is pregnant with our great-grandson now. Of course I want to see her all the time so that I can see my great-grandson!" said Grandma Liang.
"Old woman, just be quiet! The child hasn't been born yet and you're already calling me your great-grandson. What will Yunyan think if she hears you?" Grandpa Shen said.
"You old fool, I won't talk to you anymore. I'm going to call Xiaoye and talk to him!" Grandma Liang went back to her room angrily.
After Yunyan returned to her new home, she immediately asked Aunt Zheng to bring her a cup of sour plum soup. The chicken soup she had that evening was too greasy, and she wanted a cup of sour plum soup to calm the greasy feeling.
Aunt Zheng quickly brought over a cup of sour plum soup. Yun Yan took it and drank it all in one gulp. The greasy feeling in her stomach was finally suppressed.
"Aunt Zheng, have you had dinner?" Yun Yan asked.
"Ma'am, I've already eaten." Aunt Zheng replied.
"If there's nothing else, just go to bed early. I'll take you around Beijing tomorrow!" Yun Yan said.
After saying that, she went back to the bedroom. She was only three months pregnant now, so she didn't need help with showering and washing her hair for the time being.
The next morning, Aunt Zheng made breakfast and woke Yunyan up. Perhaps she was a little tired from yesterday, so Yunyan got up a little later than usual.
After breakfast, Yun Yan took Aunt Zheng to some of the most famous scenic spots in Beijing. Fortunately, there were not many people visiting Beijing at the moment, otherwise Yun Yan would not have dared to go to these places.
In one day, Yunyan took Aunt Zheng to the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven, and took photos of her.
The two didn't return home until seven o'clock in the evening. After arriving home, Aunt Zheng was still savoring the grandeur of the Forbidden City.
She felt that being Yunyan's nanny was the right decision. Yunyan paid her well and was easygoing. This time, she even asked her to fly with her to Beijing.
On the way back and forth, Yun Yan also said that she could wander around Beijing during this period, and all she had to do was take good care of her after she became six months pregnant!
