Chapter 113 Selection: Octopus

"I say, it's not necessary." You Ai looked at Min Yin with an unquestionable tone, causing the witch to look at her in surprise.

She ignored Min Yin and the others and turned to ask Gana to hand Long Man over to the Senbek guards who had rushed over, and not let anyone else touch her. Min Yin smiled at them and did not try to stop them. She let the Senbek guards take Long Man away, and she also took the witch away.

After watching Min Yin and the others leave, You Ai turned around and realized that the mermaid from Senbek hadn't left. It was Long Man who had asked her to stay. She said in a voice as soft as an ant, "I want to stay."

You Ai shook his head and looked at her and said, "You need to go back and rest."

Long Man also shook his head and said, "I'm fine. I know my body well. I'm much better now. I can stay."

"You..." You Ai stopped talking because she thought about it and felt that if she let Long Man out of her sight, she would not be able to know in time if there was any change in the toxins in her body. Letting Long Man stay would also allow her to better understand her recovery.

"Okay," You Ai compromised, "but if you feel uncomfortable, you have to tell me immediately, okay?"

Seeing that the other person agreed, Long Man tried her best to curl the corners of her mouth and nodded. In this way, You Ai kept her by his side, and also cast a reassuring look at Guan Landa and others who were looking at this side worriedly.

At present, the guards of Shoal Harbor were cleaning up the mess in the square. Yu Ai asked Masha to take good care of Long Man while she swam towards Guan Landa.

When Guan Landa saw You Ai coming over, he asked, "Why are you here?"

Min Yin was also looking at this side over there in the square, with a hint of apology on his face, and nodded towards them.

You Aidan didn't see it, and withdrew his gaze. He said to Guan Landa, "I was worried about you, so I came to check on you."

Hearing this, Guan Landa smiled and said, "Don't worry, if I sense anything wrong, I'll give up. How's Long Man? Is he okay?"

When Long Manyuai was mentioned, he became even more worried. He shook his head and said, "She was stung by a box jellyfish. Although I applied antidote to her, her body is still weak." The faces of the mermaids nearby changed when they heard it. Everyone knew how poisonous that monster was.

Guan Landa knew that You Ai was worried that something bad would happen to her like Long Man, so she came to urge her to be careful, "Don't worry, I will definitely be very careful."

"Take these two." You Ai handed her two colored mist bombs. "Pull open the thing inside this ring and it will instantly dye the surroundings into various colors, obstructing your vision."

"Okay." Guan Landa accepted it without hesitation. Seeing that You Ai still looked worried, she patted her shoulder and said, "I'll be fine. You're watching over me!"

"I'm always ready too!" Lisia couldn't find a chance to interrupt. "If this Shoal Harbor dares to do anything bad to Sister Guan Landa, I will definitely not let them go."

"Yes, yes, you've said that three times." Guan Landa shook his head helplessly. The entrance notice was already being issued, and You Ai said, "Go ahead."

"Yeah!" Guan Landa nodded to her, touched Lixia's head before leaving.

When You Ai returned to her seat, Long Man had fallen asleep on Masha's shoulder. Masha placed her index finger on her lips, silencing her. But the audience's roar of cheers, rising as Guan Landa entered the arena, didn't even wake Long Man. Masha stopped, leaving You Ai laughing.

Seeing that Long Man's face was no longer pale, she reached out to check her forehead and found that she was sleeping soundly, so she let her sleep. She had been in so much pain just now that she couldn't speak, so it was a good thing that she could sleep now.

Guan Landa has already entered the scene, and the next one to appear is her fighting opponent, the Xuan-level monster - the octopus.

This octopus monster has a short oval body and no fins. It has large compound eyes on its head and eight arms connected by membranes of varying lengths. The arms also have two rows of sessile suckers on them. Its eyes are large and narrow, and there are tentacles behind the eyes.

Octopuses are very smart animals. After coming out of the cage, they quickly change the color and structure of their bodies in an attempt to confuse the other party.

Compared to the box jellyfish with more than 60 tentacles in the previous game, this octopus has only 8 tentacles and is not highly venomous, but this does not mean that Guan Landa can be careless.

The previous monster, Longman, couldn't get close to it at all, but this octopus was eager to let Landa get close to it. The handleless suction cups on its arms were not some useless decorations.

Octopuses generally like to burrow, and they'll find any container. But something seems off about this monster. Could it abandon this innate hobby just because it senses danger?

Masha shared Youai's doubts and said in surprise, "This octopus monster actually came out of the cage by itself." Masha's words increased Youai's worries.

Guan Landa wielded a short, straight blade, while the smaller blade wrapped halfway around the handle, with a raised tip, and she thrust the knife at the octopus. The short, oval-shaped creature dodged her attack by spraying water from the funnel under its head and quickly retreating. Guan Landa reacted quickly, striking the octopus as it retreated, but it was too quick to strike.

Yu Ai and Masha frowned as they watched, and when they felt someone coming, they looked up and saw it was Jeffrey.

He looked around, his eyes lingering on Long Man for a second before he asked, "Where are McPhee and Killua?"

"He has something to do and will come over later." You Ai said.

Jeffrey nodded, swam past Longman and Masha, sat down on Youai's right, stared at the field, and said, "I think there's something wrong with this monster!"

But Yu Ai had no time to respond to Jeffrey's words, because although Guan Landa used the double-edged knife to cut off one of the octopus's arms, the octopus's arm entangled her the next second, and even the other arms attacked her fiercely. The situation was not optimistic.

Even though Guan Landa had broken one of her arms, the octopus's other arms seemed even more powerful, and no matter how she struggled, she couldn't break free. If the other arms had wrapped around her, not only would the grip from the other arms have been strong, but the membranes connecting them would have covered her mouth and nose, forcing her to suffocate. Fortunately, Guan Landa gritted her teeth and persevered at the critical moment, struggling to break free before the other arms could reach her. With a twist, she escaped the octopus's attack range.

Yu Ai stared at the wounds of varying depths on Guan Landa's body. She could vaguely see the blood seeping out. She looked a little disheveled, but fortunately, there were no other serious injuries. She secretly breathed a sigh of relief and then paid some attention to Jeffrey beside her. "What did you just say?"

Jeffrey turned his gaze away from the field and said, "I feel like there's something wrong with this octopus."

"What's wrong?" Although You Ai asked the question, his eyes did not move away from the field and he kept staring at Guan Landa.
