Chapter 122 Cave Entrance

However, due to limited red coral, they couldn't bring everyone along, so only Yuai McPhee, Killua Teffrey, Masha, and Guan Landa were on the trip. Wright, with the highest ability level besides McPhee, stayed behind as a precaution.

Because they were going to a forbidden area, only Neriya could lead them there, so Antoine had to stay outside to help take care of them.

Once they entered the elven land, they were completely blinded, relying solely on Neriya's radiant wings for light. With the exception of Yuai and Maifei, everyone else in this group had only heard of the elves. Now that they were here, it was impossible not to feel a sense of novelty.

"Yu Ai," Masha slowly moved closer and spoke in a low voice.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" You Ai thought that she was not used to the pressure here and was a little worried.

Masha shook her head and glanced at Nereya, who was leading the way. Seeing that she hadn't noticed their movements behind them, she asked, "How on earth are these wings glowing?"

Guan Landa was closer to them and nodded as well. She also had the same question.

"That's a good question," You Ai nodded meaningfully, then spread her hands. "It's just that I can't answer this question either." Yes, she also didn't know why the elves' wings glowed, and how they did it.

After all, they were following behind someone, and without getting an answer, Masha didn't dare to ask any more questions. She could only suppress the doubts in her heart and follow.

Along the way, they met members of the elves and patrolling guards. When they saw Nereya, they all stopped and saluted.

However, when they saw the Queen followed by a group of alien merpeople, their expressions changed, all of them showing worry. They probably wondered if there were more alien merpeople in the tribe recently.

After all, the alien mermaids that Mercedes had captured were all locked up, so how could they follow Her Majesty the Queen out for a walk?

Nereya led them to swim for a while. No other mermaids were seen here anymore, and a spiritual net was spread out. Nereya held a token-like object in her hand, found a position, stretched out her hand to spread the net, and connected it again after others passed.

Then they swam a little further and came across a patch of lush seaweed. Under the light of Nereya's wings, it looked golden. Masha couldn't help but exclaim, "Golden seaweed!"

Everyone followed Nereya and moved through the seaweed, but the long and wide seaweed hindered their progress.

If they wanted to cross this seaweed, wouldn't it be more direct and faster to swim over it? Youai thought to herself, but the next second, Rhea's actions told her that swimming over it was not feasible because the entrance was below.

Pushing aside the lush, vibrant seaweed, one could see a hole that was only wide enough for one person to enter. There wasn't any cave here, so it was obvious that this hole led underground.

The entrance to the cave was not big, and the light from Nereya's wings could not reach inside, so there was a sharp contrast between the inside and the outside - there was vibrant seaweed outside, and there was pitch-black silence inside.

"This hole is so small, how can we get in?" Masha said, swallowing unconsciously. The hole made people feel uncomfortable just by looking at it!

Nariya nodded and said, "You can go in, but I have to fold my wings." This means that once you go in, you can only rely on your own eyes.

"It's okay," You Ai said. At that moment, she had exchanged seven fluorescent stones in the store, one for each person, and handed them to everyone while Nereya's wings were still open.

Next up was McPhee, leading the charge. Although this was a forbidden area for the elves, and Nereia only knew about the cave and had never entered it, McPhee, as the most powerful person here, naturally had to push forward, with Killua covering the rear.

McPhee entered the cave first, followed by Yuai, Guanlanda, Nariya, Masha, Jeffrey, and finally Killua.

I originally thought that after entering the cave, it wouldn't be so narrow all the time, but I don't know how many turns I've made, and it's still not the place where it suddenly opens up.

"How long will it take?" Masha said weakly. Although her voice was low, the space was small and everyone could hear it. However, no one could answer this question.

It wasn't just her; everyone else felt uncomfortable, too. Being confined in a space, while not so tight as to strain their shoulders, still felt confined and limited. All these factors combined made time pass more slowly and feel longer.

"Hold on a little longer, it should be over soon." You Ai tried to comfort her, but unexpectedly, Mai Fei spoke up the next second and stopped talking, "Wait a minute."

"What's wrong?" You Ai asked.

"There are two roads." Mai Fei's voice came from the front. Perhaps part of the voice was diverted by other channels, so it sounded a little distant.

"Was it separated suddenly?" Nereya asked from behind.

"Yes." McPhee replied.

"Take the branching path," said Nereya.

Mai Fei in front changed lanes, and You Ai followed. Before it was Masha's turn, she was still wondering what it meant to suddenly split off. Until she saw Nereya in front suddenly turn a 90-degree turn from the original lane, it really was a sudden split off.

After walking for a while on this suddenly branched road, we heard Mai Fei say, "We're out." Everyone was ecstatic, finally able to say goodbye to this narrow road.

Mai Fei observed the cave entrance for a while, and went out when he didn't find anything wrong. He then helped You Ai who was behind him.

This place is probably not the hiding place of the fangtooth fish monster. The surroundings are empty and there is no living thing.

Yu Ai looked around and waited until everyone came out before asking Nairiya, "How is it? Is this the place?"

Nariya nodded and said, "It's here. The record ends here." In other words, she didn't know what she would encounter next.

"Just find the right place. This is what we're here for," You Ai said. "Everyone, take a break and refresh yourself."

Although it didn't take much effort, moving in the narrow passage was still a very physically demanding task. What they were going to face next was the fang-toothed fish monster, a large group of them at that. They couldn't get tired before they even encountered them.

Yuai came to Nereya and said, "Thank you for your hard work." The elves had no poisoned members, so Nereya didn't need to come.

"No need to say that." The space here was large enough, and Nariya's wings were open. "You helped save the elves. Now I can help out, and I have no choice but to do so."
