Chapter 1 Accidental Travel

At the turn of summer and autumn, the fields are green and yellow, and the breeze fills your nose with the smell of harvest.

Lin Wanwan stood on the hillside, looking at the scenery of the farmland in front of her, her heart filled with joy.

This is the third year that her family has contracted this farm. The growth is much better than before, and the yield will increase exponentially.

Two years ago, her parents contracted a thousand acres of farmland and a hundred acres of forest, preparing to do something big. Unexpectedly, on the way home, they collided with a large truck and unfortunately died on the spot.

Lin Wanwan fainted when she heard the news. After she woke up, she tried her best to hold on and take care of the funeral for her parents. Her grandparents were old, and only her aunt married far away in Hainan, and there were not many relatives left in this poor mountain valley.

Her parents went out to work hard in their early years, and they never forgot their hometown after making money. They made some contributions, built bridges and roads, and tried their best to do whatever they could. Therefore, they were very popular in the village. During the funeral arrangements, every household sent people to help, and the funeral was handled very decently.

Since then, Lin Wanwan has taken over the farm. She had just graduated from college and was planning to continue her postgraduate studies, but something happened at home, so she had to concentrate on the farm.

Because her major was horticulture, growing crops was not a problem for her. Sometimes when she encountered difficult problems, she would ask her senior classmates for advice and she would also hire people to help her on weekdays.

Although her parents are gone, the enthusiastic villagers still take good care of her family. As soon as they finish their housework, they come to work for her without stopping. Lin Wanwan has never treated them badly.

Afterwards, she built a two-story building and several large warehouses on the hillside of the farm and stayed on the mountain all day. Her grandparents had difficulty walking, so they stayed in the village and only came to help with a little work during the busy farming season.

Because she lived alone and was afraid that it would be unsafe at night, she raised five big wolfhounds to guard the house.

Lin Wanwan likes them very much. In addition to guarding the house on weekdays, she also looks after the chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, etc. She drives them back to their nests whenever the sun is about to set. She really doesn't have to worry about anything. Recently, a female even gave birth to two cubs, and no one knows whose babies they are.

Last year, we planted 100 mu of wheat in the flat land at the outermost part. We harvested it this summer and continued to plant corn, which covered almost 100 mu. We also planted 30 to 40 mu of sweet potatoes and potatoes, 100 mu of cotton, and other miscellaneous crops. We planted rice all the way inside. We left 50 to 60 mu to build greenhouses, where we planted vegetables and fruits. We planted 70 to 80 mu of fruit trees and tea trees near the forest. We also fenced off the forest and raised 7,000 to 8,000 chickens, ducks, and geese. Although there were dangers in the early stage, when the geese grew up, their status rose sharply, and those big wolfhounds usually didn't dare to mess with them.

She also raised three lambs. When they grew up, two ewes gave birth to three lambs. They were small and very cute. Recently, she bought ten piglets and two strong calves. She built a few brick houses next to the warehouse and put the piglets, cattle and sheep in. The chicken coop is in the forest. On weekdays, you only need to pick up the eggs. Someone will come to collect the eggs every two or three days, otherwise there will be too many to eat.

In the evening, all the workers went home. Lin Wanwan had a simple meal, fed the five big dogs, and lay in the rocking chair outside the door in a daze.

I have to say that the air in the countryside is just great. The fragrance of ripe crops fills the air, the moon is bright in the sky, the leaves rustle in the breeze, and there are bursts of insects chirping. It really is a peaceful time.

Lin Wanwan looked at the stars in the sky, searching for the two that most resembled her parents. One of them was particularly bright, slowly becoming brighter and brighter, as if it was getting closer and closer to her.

She was a little curious and stared at it intently. It seemed that it was not an illusion. The star became brighter and closer in the blink of an eye.

By the time Lin Wanwan realized something was wrong, it was too late. She lost consciousness in a blinding white light...

"Ouch...my head hurts!"

When Lin Wanwan woke up again, she found herself in a dilapidated earthen house. She struggled to stand up and looked around.

It is no exaggeration to say that the house is bare. Apart from a bed, there is only a table and a bench in the room. It is quite clean. But no, where is this?

Lin Wanwan recalled what happened last night. That white light, was she dead? Was this the underworld? Or was she transmigrated?

"Ding! Zizi... Human, hello! I am a daily brick-moving system in an advanced civilization. I have officially changed my name to the pension system 857. Just five interstellar days ago, I successfully applied to go to the 265 smart planet for retirement. Due to a solar magnetic storm, the system malfunctioned and fell near your home..."

Lin Wanwan was a little surprised at first. A system! A golden finger! Wouldn't she be able to have whatever she wanted in the future? Money would pour in... But the more she listened, the more she felt something was wrong. My goodness, it turned out that she blamed it for everything that happened to her?

"In other words, it was you who showed up last night and crushed me to death?"

"Human, don't be angry. 857 has tried its best to make amends and brought your soul energy to this planet. The owner of your body died of a high fever last night. Because I don't have enough energy, I can only bring you nearby. Although it's a little poor, this body looks good..."

“Wuwuwu… What’s the point of having good looks? My grandparents must be so sad. The farm I worked so hard to grow is gone. My food! My dog, my chickens and ducks… Wuwuwuwu… They’re all gone. How are you going to compensate me…”

Elderly Care System 857 was also stunned, and hurriedly comforted Lin Wanwan, "Human, you, don't cry first. This system is a responsible system. Since you died, 857 has used 80% of its energy to protect your fields and livestock. It has formed a separate space. As long as you control it with your mind, you can enter at will."
