Chapter 24 A mere textile factory manager, easily manipulated!

"Is this your excuse for loitering around the steel mill during work hours? Do you really think the textile factory can't survive without you, Liang Dayang?"

The factory manager said, his neck stiff, his tone noticeably less forceful than before.

Seeing that the other party was clearly changing the subject, Liang Dayang couldn't help but sneer.

"Heh, you're saying I'm just loitering around during work hours? If it weren't for the fact that the factory was short of good food and I was thinking of borrowing some from the steel mill, would I have gone there?"

"You think I went there to act like a big shot? I went there to act like a grandson! If your brother-in-law hadn't acted on his own initiative and offended someone, why would I have to tear off my mask and throw it on the ground for people to trample on!"

Liang Dayang reached out and pointed towards the steel plant through the window.

"The vegetables at the steel mill are much better than ours because their vegetable suppliers deliver fresh vegetables that have just grown out of the ground."

“Originally, their supplier was also delivering vegetables to us, but because of your brother-in-law, the cooperation was ruined, and you even drove them away and offended them.”

"That old man who delivers vegetables is living a life of luxury in the steel mill's purchasing department. I certainly don't have the ability to persuade him to help. You're the factory manager, so if you're so capable, you do it!"

After hearing Liang Dayang's words, the factory director gradually understood.

I have wronged the other party.

Even so, he, as a purchasing director, shouldn't have spoken to me like that. How could I, as the factory manager, carry out my work in the factory after that?

Anyone who didn't know better would think they'd brought all the village's stray dogs to guard the factory gate.

Looking at Liang Dayang, who was still panting heavily, the factory director really wanted to slap him across the face, but he was now in a difficult position.

If this matter is to be resolved today, he will definitely lose face.

As for whether to lose face in front of the employees and the delivery person, or in front of the leaders, even a fool would know which to choose.

The old factory director, having made his decision, didn't waste any time, grabbing Liang Dayang by the collar and striding out.

"They can't even handle a vegetable delivery guy, so I, the factory manager, have to go in person! I'll go with you to see how many arms and legs that guy has, and how he can be so difficult to deal with."

...

Steel mill, purchasing department.

Just as Zhao Youcai was about to leave, he opened the door and saw Liang Dayang, the purchasing director of the textile factory, with an ugly smile on his face and a person of similar age standing next to him.

He wore a Zhongshan suit, had his hair slicked back, and his hair was shiny and oily.

Judging by his attire, he looks like a leader.

He is indeed a wealthy and powerful person; his appearance and demeanor are both quite impressive.

Liang Dayang breathed a sigh of relief; he almost missed it!

Fortunately, Zhao Youcai hadn't left yet, otherwise he would have gotten so hot that his mouth was full of blisters.

"This is the fresh vegetable supplier I was talking about, Zhao Youcai."

He then smiled at Zhao Youcai and said, "Brother Zhao, this is the factory manager of our textile factory. I invited him to come and discuss cooperation with you in person."

Zhao Youcai was taken aback. In fact, he didn't have much hope that the other party would actually bring in a leader to discuss cooperation with him.

Unexpectedly, Liang Dayang is quite efficient; he summoned the person in charge so quickly.

Zhao Youcai paused for a moment, then said indifferently, "Oh, good day, factory manager. I was originally going to deliver vegetables to your factory, but your brother-in-law has already told me not to go anymore."

"He said the textile factory was his territory, and no one else could even get a piece of it. Since that's the case, then let's forget about the cooperation."

"Damn it, how did the textile factory become the territory of a good-for-nothing scoundrel?"

The textile factory manager was furious. His brother-in-law was usually so subservient to him, but he never expected him to be so arrogant in front of others.

Zhao Yanfeng never imagined that while she was working peacefully in her office, she would be gossiping about the textile factory manager across the street with her colleagues.

For some reason, he suddenly beckoned and whispered in the ear of a clerk. The clerk's eyes lit up, and he excitedly squeezed past the group, running happily into the distance.

After all, this is the steel mill's territory. Whether from the perspective of the mill's hospitality or from Zhao Yanfeng's perspective of simply wanting to watch the excitement, both for public and private reasons, they have to act like the hosts.

Zhao Yanfeng smiled and invited them all in to sit down and talk, and even personally brewed tea for them.

The textile factory director's face was so red it was almost bleeding. If he still couldn't understand that everything was because of his brother-in-law, he would twist his head off and let them kick it around like a ball.

"Brother Zhao, my brother-in-law didn't mean it, so I apologize on his behalf. How can we get over this? Tell me your plan, and I'll definitely consider it seriously and try to continue our cooperation."

The textile factory manager softened his tone and started to get closer to Zhao Youcai.

Zhao Youcai was just trying to get his tongue out; he didn't really intend for the textile factory director to say anything.

I decided to lay everything out in the open and get straight to the point, without rambling on.

"Since such a high-ranking leader has taken the initiative to come to our door to discuss cooperation, the guarantee he signed must be useful. In that case, the factory manager can take a look at the contents of the guarantee to see if there are any problems."

The textile factory director became increasingly confused as he listened.

What does this mean?

What kind of guarantee?

Before he could even understand the whole story, he rushed straight to this ridiculous guarantee. Is that really a good thing?

Seeing the textile factory manager's suspicious look, Zhao Youcai understood.

It seems that Director Liang is in a hurry and hasn't had time to discuss some things with their factory manager.

Zhao Youcai spread his hand in Liang Dayang's direction, and seeing the other's somewhat puzzled expression, he sighed helplessly in his heart.

I don't know how this textile factory chose its leadership team; they're all incredibly stupid.

"Take out the guarantee you just wrote and show it to your factory manager. Doesn't he know what's going on if he doesn't see it?"

Liang Dayang, the purchasing director of the textile factory, then said "Oh," patted his forehead, and pulled out the crumpled piece of paper.

The textile factory manager was instantly unsettled after reading it.

Liang Dayang is incredibly bold!

How dare they make such a big decision on their own! Do they think the factory's rules don't exist?

Does he, the factory manager, even exist?!

The textile factory manager was so angry that he stood up and wanted to leave.

He's just an old man from the countryside, what good dishes could he possibly have!

That trash director, fire him when you get back!

Unfortunately, as soon as I turned around, I saw the chubby chef grinning as he walked in, carrying a plate of steaming potato and green bean stew in one hand and a plate of golden, glistening fried dough sticks cut into small pieces in the other.

The textile factory manager was instantly dumbfounded.

Green beans!

Why are there green beans this season?!

And those weren't dried green bean strips! They were fresh green beans!

And why do those potatoes look so soft and mushy? You can tell just by looking at them that they must have a sandy and mealy texture!

As for the fried dough sticks, there's no need to mention them; it's been half a year since he last ate them!

The textile factory director's feet seemed to be nailed to the spot, impossible to move.
