Chapter 3: Getting More Dishonest



"Meow!"

Hua Shi's eyes went dark as a heavy object hit his head. He felt a pain in the back of his head and lost his balance, falling to the ground.

"Bang……"

The back of his head, which had been injured before, had not yet healed. Hua Shi could not withstand the weight and was knocked unconscious.

"Meow meow..." The black cat landed lightly on the ground, crawling on the loquats scattered on the ground, and its pair of blue cat eyes stared at Hua Shi vigilantly.

The human lying on the ground remained silent for a long time. The black cat confirmed that there was no danger and quietly approached with cat steps...

As the flower lay in the wet grass, it heard a noisy sound coming from the distant forest and slowly woke up.

The sky had completely fallen into endless darkness. Beneath the dense forest, a crescent moon shone faintly, and the stars twinkled. The sound of a nightingale chirped in my ears...

“…Flower time! —Flower time!!”

Another vague cry came from the distance, mixed with sparse sounds in the bushes.

Hua Shi was frightened by the pitch-black surroundings and suddenly turned over and sat up. She didn't know what was sleeping soundly on her belly. When she moved, the little thing rolled down.

"Meow……?"

In the darkness, Hua Shi used the moonlight to see the culprit who had knocked her unconscious. He was clinging to her thigh, rubbing against her and then fell asleep again.

"Hiss..." Hua Shi touched the back of his head which was aching slightly. The noisy and continuous shouting was still going on. He responded loudly in the direction where the sound came from.

"Here I am! Here I am!..."
