Chapter 77 You Look Too Fierce

Early in the morning, a loud noise was heard in the Hua family courtyard...

When it was just dawn, Mrs. Li began to urge her to get up and work.

When Hua Shi started to dawdle, Li pointed at her and scolded her in the yard for a long time before she slowly stopped.

After breakfast, Li couldn't wait to order her to clean up the chicken droppings in the chicken coop.

Hua Shi had just cleaned the chicken coop and came out of the small fence. He finally let out the breath he had been holding and took a deep breath of fresh air.

I don't know how this chicken coop was made. It's a small area, blocked on the top with bamboo strips and rags, and on the bottom with bamboo and wooden sticks tied together. The inside side near the wall is sealed with mud.

The airtightness on all sides made this small area narrow and crowded. Not only was it difficult to clean, but when you bent down to clean it, you would feel dizzy because of the stench.

Li was in Hua Ciyuan's room, staring at him reading. She was not in the yard at the moment, otherwise she would have probably made some sarcastic remarks when she saw Hua Shi's procrastination.

After finishing the work in the soybean field, Huayu would spend the next three days drying the wheat seeds in the yard. If it was sunny for several days, he would go to the field to sow the seeds after drying them for three days.

Hua Yu, who had just sprained her ankle, could rest at home for a few days without being forced to work.

It was a rare occasion when everyone was home, but the yard was strangely quiet. Hua Yu was squatting nearby, watching over the wheat seeds, while Hua Xiao was sitting under the eaves with a few old clothes, her head lowered, mending. Hua Ying sat beside her obediently, occasionally passing her the needle and thread.

As for Hua Li...

"Meow!!"

A burst of impatient cat meows was heard, and Hua Shi turned his head to look over.

Hua Li was standing under the low wall with her head raised. The agile black cat was standing on the low wall with its tail erect, and it called out to Hua Li with a vigilant look on its face.

"Xiao Hei, come down quickly, what are you doing up there..."

Hua Li stood guard below with an eager look on his face, stretching out his arms towards the black cat standing on the low wall.

It was obvious that he liked Xiao Hei very much. As soon as he saw Xiao Hei coming out of her room, he would grab the opportunity to touch its tail fur until the black cat became furry and jumped away. Then he would run over and coax it eagerly...

"Meow!"

The black cat barked at him fiercely, and its dark blue eyes seemed to come out of the chicken coop when it saw Hua. It jumped with its front legs and pounced towards her.

"Meow……,"

The black cat landed steadily at her feet, rubbed her legs naturally, and then hid behind her, staring at Hua Li vigilantly with its pair of blue eyes.

Hua Li also stared and turned her head eagerly to look over, but was captivated by Xiao Hei's confused eyes, which stared at her straightly.

“Meow!”

The black cat noticed Hua Li's intention, let out a howl, and ran out towards the open gate of the courtyard.

"ah……"

Hua Li looked at the black cat that had disappeared and let out a low cry of disappointment.

He scratched his head, somewhat puzzled.

Why is Xiao Hei so afraid of him? He didn't do anything, he actually likes Xiao Hei...

Why is it that every time Xiao Hei sees him, he always runs away with a wary look on his face...

Hua Li thought about it, looked at Hua Shi who was standing not far away from him, coughed softly, leaned over and asked softly, "Why is Xiao Hei always so afraid of me? Do I look fierce?"

Hua Li asked directly, asking whatever he was thinking, and looked at her with a pair of bright eyes full of longing.

Seeing this, Hua Shi frowned in deep thought, holding his chin with one hand. After a moment of silence, he said, "Maybe it's because you look too fierce, so Xiao Hei is afraid of you."

Hua Li's expression suddenly fell, "Ah...really?"

The way he looked, it was obvious that he believed it about 70%.

Hua Shi frowned and nodded as he said.

Then she heard Hua Li ask her again, "Then how can I look less fierce? Do I look fierce now?"

The little boy with a childish face and some baby fat looked at her seriously, frowned, and asked her very seriously how to look less fierce, which inexplicably brought a bit of humor to his face.

Hua Shi couldn't help laughing, but it didn't show on her face. However, there was a hint of smile in her eyes, which she held back from showing.

Hahaha, she didn't expect Hua Li to actually believe her nonsense.

At this moment, he was still thinking seriously, touching his tender face with one hand, as if he was really reflecting on his own problems.

So funny...

To verify, Hua Yu turned around and looked at his second brother who was drying wheat seeds. He asked in a somewhat abrupt voice, "Second brother, do I look fierce?"

Hua Yu seemed to be thinking about something. When he heard his brother's sudden question, he was stunned for a moment.

When he looked up at Hua standing behind Hua Li, he was trying to suppress a smile, then he lowered his eyes to look at his silly brother.

He deadpanned, "She's teasing you."

"ah?"

Hua Li was stunned for a moment, turned his head to look at Hua Shi, and saw a smile on Hua Shi's face.

Little Radish Head knew he was being tricked. His face flushed crimson. He glared at Hua Shi in anger and said angrily, "I knew you were lying to me! If I believe you again, I'll be a puppy!"

Seeing that he had realized what was happening, Hua Shi didn't dare tease him too much, and quickly said, "Hey, don't be angry. Do you want to know how to please small animals?"

Hua Li, who was furious and embarrassed, no longer believed her at all. He snorted coldly, ignored what she said next, turned around and ran away.
