Chapter 91 A very fragrant smell

Hua Shi was startled when he felt something light in his arms. He stood up suddenly with his back pressed against the tree trunk.

“Hmph…”

The wild deer came closer and blew two puffs of air at her through its big nostrils.

“Meow meow!!”

The air was silent for a moment, and the black cat jumped onto the snow, bared its teeth, and roared twice at the wild deer.

The wild deer's bright yellow eyes moved away from her and moved down to the black cat, which was not even as tall as its leg bones.

After seeing the black cat making dissatisfied sounds, the wild deer suddenly lowered its head, stretched out its long tongue, and licked the meowing black cat.

"Meow!!"

The black cat let out a shrill cry.

Hua Shi was dumbfounded.

“Ugh…, meow!”

A sound similar to retching was heard. The black cat, which was covered in saliva, scratched its wet and sticky fur with its claws in annoyance, stuck out its tongue, and retched again and again.

The wild deer seemed to be very excited. One lick was not enough for it. It held the deer down with one of its front hooves, lowered its head, and licked it inside and out.

"Meow!!"

Suddenly, bursts of shrill cat cries were heard in the silent forest.

Hua Shi looked at this somewhat mysterious scene with a puzzled look on his face.

Her sight turned and she suddenly saw the white fox behind the wild deer, walking towards her slowly.

“Chirp…”

Hearing the white fox's cry, Hua Shi looked over vigilantly.

The white fox stared at her with its narrow eyes without blinking. It walked up to her and circled around her twice, as if smelling her scent.

It was unclear what it wanted to do, so Hua Shi did not act rashly and let it surround her.

Until the white fox suddenly stopped at her left hand side, stretched its head over, and touched her bony finger...

Hua Shi pulled her hand back, clenched her palm, and looked down at it.

“Chirp…”

The white fox tilted its head back, its dark yellow eyes staring at her leisurely.

After a while, the white fox showed no intention of attacking her. Hua Shi felt like retreating and took two slow steps back.

The white fox followed closely and took two steps, its eyes seemingly fixed on her left hand...

Hua Shi pinched the spring hidden in the palm of her hand.

For some reason, she always felt that the fox seemed to have noticed the spring hidden in her left hand, and kept sticking close to it and moving towards her.

She knew how attractive the spring water was to animals. For so long, unless she took the initiative to release the spring water, it would generally not attract animals like mice, insects, and snakes.

Occasionally, when she encountered a mouse hiding in a corner, it did not pounce directly towards her, nor did it show any intention of getting close to her.

She guessed that as long as she didn't expose the spring water easily, it wouldn't attract the small animals nearby...

But she had recently gone into the mountains twice. The last time, she hadn't exposed the spring, but it had attracted mountain spirits and wolves. This time, although she had proactively sprinkled the spring water nearby, it had attracted two deer and a fox that looked quite intelligent...

“Chirp…”

The fox standing beside her suddenly raised its head, raised its front paws, and moved towards her retracted left hand.

Hua Shi was lost in thought when he was startled by its sudden action and took several steps back.

“Chirp…”

A fox let out a faint cry. Hua Shi glanced sideways and saw it, tilting its head. Its lively fox eyes looked at her, as if revealing some doubt.

"Meow!"

The black cat, which had finally escaped from the wild deer's mouth, rolled twice in the snow, and its wet fur was instantly covered with fine snow.

It howled and ran towards Hua Shi, "Meow...!"

The black cat stood in front of the white fox and barked at him angrily twice.

The white fox was about to move forward, but hesitated with its front paws and did not move forward. Instead, it put its front paws in front of it and sat down on the snow, its dark yellow eyes looking at the black cat leisurely.

“Chirp…, chirp…”

'She smells... very nice.'

"Meow." The black cat licked the snow on its paws and stuck out its tongue in disgust.

'I know.'

"Chirp...!" The white fox's dark yellow eyes lit up.

'Is it hidden in her hand?'

"Hmph, don't even think about hitting on her, my!"

Hua Shi looked at the cat and the fox not far in front of him. They seemed to be having a conversation with each other, talking back and forth.

Can these two understand what each other is saying...?

The cat and the fox were talking to each other, and suddenly the black cat's fur stood up, and it arched its back, revealing its sharp claws, as if it was about to attack the white fox.

The white fox sitting opposite it scratched the white hair on its head and lazily raised its eyelids, showing no intention of moving.

"Meow!!"

"I was the first to find out!" the black cat shouted angrily.

“Chirp.”

"It's not yours even if you find it first."

The white fox raised his eyelids again and said.

“Meow meow!!”

The angry black cat jumped up and pounced on the white fox.

The white fox seemed to have anticipated this. It stood up suddenly and dodged to the side, leaving a clear trail on the snow with its fluffy tail dragging behind it.

“Meow meow—!!”

Just as the black cat was about to pounce, it was lightly held down by the wild deer's front hooves with a click.

The black cat, which was suddenly imprisoned, let out a deafening cry.

Hua Shi looked at the noisy scene in front of him and fell into a strange state of contemplation.
