Chapter 125: Feeling of Shame

"Come over here too. I've prepared a bowl of lean meat porridge for you."

Hua Shi heard the movement of the little white dog, walked over, picked up its back with one hand, and placed it in front of the bowl of lean meat porridge that had been prepared long ago.

This is the bamboo bowl that the kitten uses to drink water. She didn't have time to prepare a new bowl for the little white dog, so she just washed it and used it to serve porridge to it.

She had never had a pet before, so she couldn't really tell how old the little white dog was. It looked so small, so it should be less than a year old.

So she didn't know if a puppy this big could eat porridge and meat. It should have been weaned, otherwise it wouldn't be able to survive...

When the little white dog was picked up, it struggled and resisted for a moment, but when Hua Shi placed it in front of the bowl of fragrant and glutinous lean meat porridge, it immediately calmed down, sniffed its nose, and soon buried its head and ate happily.

The three guys were immersed in the joy of eating. Hua Shi walked out of the house with a bowl of lean meat porridge in one hand.

“Knock, knock…”

There were two muffled knocks on the door.

Hua Shi stood outside the door with the bowl in his hand and waited for a long time, but no one came to open the door.

The main room was pitch dark. After working for so long, it was already dark. I didn't know if Hua Yu and the others were asleep.

"Hua Yu? Xiao Xiao...? Are you guys up?"

Hua Shi stood there for a while, and seeing that there was still no sound in the house, he moved closer and asked in a low voice.

Suddenly, there was a rustling sound in the room.

Hua Li rubbed his sleepy eyes, ran over and opened the door. When he saw what Hua Shi was holding in his hand, his eyes suddenly widened.

"What is this?"

Hua Li sniffed subconsciously, as if he could smell the aroma of meat.

"Here, hold it carefully. I'll go over and bring the other two bowls."

Hua Shi handed the bowl in his hand to Hua Li.

Hua Li was still in a semi-dazed state, and subconsciously reached out to hold the edge of the bowl.

"You? What are you holding?"

Hua Xiao crawled out of the bed, rubbed her sleepy eyes, and vaguely saw Hua Li walking back, holding something in her hand.

Hua Li swallowed her dry throat and said, "Yes, it's porridge."

His eyes were wide open, and he couldn't believe what he saw. He even suspected that he was seeing things.

There was a big piece of meat floating in the flat bowl, it was really... a big piece!

It smells good...

The little flower shadow, curled up in the corner, sleeping in a mess, sniffed and, before even opening her eyes, she could smell the aroma of meat...

“Eat, eat…!”

The little guy sat up with his head down. In the darkness, his eyes flashed brightly and he immediately locked onto his target and looked at the thing in Hua Li's hand.

Hua Xiao was stunned for half a second, then quickly rolled off the bed, put on his shoes, and walked to Hua Li.

As she got closer, she could not only see clearly, but the aroma of meat also made her mouth water and her hungry stomach growled.

“She brought it here again…?”

There was almost no need to guess, Hua Shi's figure immediately appeared in Hua Xiao's mind.

Hua Li nodded blankly.

Before he could say anything else, Hua Shi walked in slowly in the dim light, holding two identical wooden bowls in his hands.

"Hey, you guys woke up just in time. The porridge is a little cold now, so it's a perfect time to eat it."

The wooden bowl fell on the wooden table, making a slight clinking sound.

On the kang bed, a swaying figure climbed up, his feet landed silently on the ground, and he took slow steps.

With a "click", the dusty oil lamp was lit, and the dim light barely illuminated the entire room.

A pair of bloodshot eyes were suddenly exposed to the light.

Hua Shi was startled by the boy's gloomy expression and depressed eyes.

"Hua Yu, are you still feeling uncomfortable?"

Hua Shi subconsciously lowered his voice and asked softly.

Hua Yu raised his drooping eyelids and looked at her, his eyes cold and emotionless.

"…fine…."

He hadn't spoken for a long time, and his voice was dry, as if his throat had been cut by the wind. He spoke word by word.

It is said that people are most vulnerable when they are sick, but when the young man was most vulnerable, he seemed to have erected a high wall of defense for himself, and never showed any weak emotions.

Demeanor, eyes, behavior... distant and indifferent...

"Take your time to eat. I'm leaving now. Remember to wash the dishes and put them back where they belong."

Hua Shi said this casually, then stepped on the dark shadow and disappeared at the door.

The air in the narrow, dark yellow house was silent for a long time, and no one spoke again.

“Pah…”

Until the dull thud of something falling to the ground broke the eerie atmosphere.

Xiao Huaying pried open his hands and pushed the quilt away, intending to get out of bed. However, he didn't sit firmly on the bed, as it was too high and his legs were too short. Before he could reach the ground, his front half of the body tilted back, his center of gravity was unstable, and he fell to the ground with a thud.

The little guy who fell to the ground turned over and sat up by himself, twisting his head in a daze. He was hurt from the fall, but he didn't cry or make a fuss.

A pair of big round eyes immediately locked onto the wooden bowl in Hua Li's hand.

The delicious smell...was coming from the wooden bowl...

The little guy pushed himself up with his hands and climbed up swiftly without anyone's help. He didn't even wear shoes and stepped on the cold soil. His little feet were frozen red, but he seemed to feel nothing.
