Chapter 216 Wake up

The next day, when the light dimly came on, Hua Shi suddenly woke up from his chaotic sleep. He subconsciously reached out and touched the forehead of Hua Yu who was lying beside him. He felt the temperature and found it was not hot. His heart, which had been hanging in the air, slowly settled down.

Before I knew it, it was already daybreak.

She didn't dare sleep the whole night and stayed by the kang bed, changing Hua Yu's medicine, wiping her sweat, changing her towel, and testing her temperature from time to time.

In the first half of the night, Hua Yu started to have a high fever again. She was busy taking care of him. After the fever finally subsided and he relaxed, he began to feel sleepy.

Her memory was a little fuzzy afterwards. She only remembered that she had been suffering for a long time. Hua Yu no longer had a fever. After she felt relieved, she fell headfirst onto the edge of the kang bed and fell asleep in a daze.

I'm so tired...

Hua Shi sat up straight and was about to check Hua Yu's leg injury under the quilt, but suddenly saw his trembling eyelids.

The next second, Hua Yu opened his eyes, and his pair of dark pupils shrank inward because of focusing.

"You're awake?!" Hua Shi glared, and all the sleepiness disappeared in an instant.

"How do you feel? Where do you feel uncomfortable? Do you want some water?"

Hua Shi was surprised for a moment, then immediately came up to him and asked him anxiously with concern.

Hua Yu moved his head and felt a sharp pain at the back of his head, like a dull pain from a knife.

Listening to Hua Shi's familiar and concerned voice, he vaguely realized that the voice he heard just before he passed out was indeed hers...

Hua Shi watched him roll his eyes slowly, and after a while, his focused gaze landed on her. He opened his mouth, but a hoarse voice got stuck in his throat, making it impossible for him to utter a word.

"Wait a minute, I'll boil some hot water for you."

After Hua Shi said this, he turned around and ran out in a hurry.

The empty house became quiet again.

Hua Yu was in so much pain that she caught a cold. Her dull thoughts gradually became active, and her dark eyes flashed with a cold luster.

Thinking about how he was not paying attention one day and was hit by a brick, which led to his current state, Hua Yu's dark thoughts that had been suppressed began to rise again bit by bit.

Li Shou, Li Datong...

He silently chewed over and over in his mind the names of those who had harmed him, his mind active.

The closed Pandora's box opened again at this moment...

He would definitely make these people regret their actions.

After a while, Hua Shi came in with freshly boiled hot water. However, he was slow in lighting the fire and boiling the water, which delayed him for some time.

"The water is here. Can you sit up?" Hua Shi walked to the bedside and saw that he looked pale. He pushed Hua Yu, who was about to turn over and sit up, back down.

"Forget it, forget it. Let's not get up yet. I'll feed you. I've mixed some cold water in it. The temperature is just right. It won't burn your mouth."

Hua Yu gulped down a bowl of warm water, moistened his throat, and then turned to look at Hua Shi, whispering: "...My whole body hurts..."

Hua Shi held the bowl, sat back, tucked the quilt in for him, frowned, suppressed the anger that had been brewing in his heart, and asked in a low voice: "Do you remember what happened in the past two days?"

"Li Shou told me it was early spring and there were many golden snakes in the mountains. He asked if I wanted to go catch them together. I went with him, but not long after we got there, someone knocked me unconscious with a rock. When I woke up, I found myself surrounded by wild wolves... Oh, and I also saw a man holding a sword, standing in front of me. He was the one who saved me. Where is he?"

Hua Yu slowed down his voice and told the story of what had happened in one breath. Then he thought of the man who was seriously injured like himself.

"He seems to have lost his memory. He's in the room across the street. He's awake now and doesn't seem to be seriously injured. He just needs to take good care of his injuries."

I just lost my memory, so I'm afraid it might be a bit troublesome...
