Chapter 100 - Packing

Chapter 100 - Packing

Qin Buzhu took a sip and found it not as delicious as the juice Shi Feiye usually squeezed. He didn't say anything, because Shi Feiye opened another bowl and found three round balls covered in ochre powder.

Qin Buzhu listened to Shi Feiye's enthusiastic introduction to him:

"This is the Three Cannons. The so-called cannons refer to the fact that when making it, the balls are hit against a board three times, making a loud noise. That's why it's called the Three Cannons. But this one, with the special flour, tastes amazing. Try it."

There was only one serving of these three big cannons. Qin Buzhu saw two spoons in the bowl and picked up one of them. He scooped up a ball and brought it to his mouth. He took a bite. The sweetness of the glutinous rice combined with the unknown powder instantly spread in his mouth. After a few bites, the whole ball was gone.

"How is it? Is it sweet and not cloying?" Shi Feiye looked at him eagerly, waiting for his answer.

"It's OK." For Qin Buzhu, who was used to eating good food, this thing was just OK.

However, Shi Feiye was already satisfied: "That's pretty good. After all, your standards are different from others."

Besides these, there were many other snacks, and Shi Feiye took a portion of each. She didn't eat much herself, mainly because she wanted Qin Buzhu to have a taste. It's true, Qin Buzhu had eaten so much delicious food that he had long lost interest in it. This was the first time he had eaten snacks, and no one had ever invited him to a place like this before.

Even during those two years when his grandfather had thrown him out to train and he had no money, he was so busy that he had no time to come to places like this. These snacks aren't necessarily delicious, but they're a novelty, and that's what Master Feiye was after.

Seeing that they had almost finished eating, Qin Bulu asked Shi Feiye: "Why did you eat so little?"

There were still quite a few snacks on the table, but Shi Feiye barely touched them. She smiled awkwardly.

"My weight has been a little off lately, so I don't dare eat that much."

A subtle smile flashed across Qin Buzhu's eyes: "Then let's go."

Shi Feiye glanced at the table and couldn't help but picked up a skewer of lamb, took two bites and put it back: "Okay, let's go."

Qin Buzhu: "...If you really want to eat it, you might as well pack a portion."

"Ah? Ah, okay, okay." Shi Feiye's eyes suddenly lit up, "Then wait here for a moment, I'll be there soon."

She hadn't thought about eating it herself, but she wanted to pack a portion for Qin Si. This place was a bit far from the rented house, and they wouldn't come here often, so she took this opportunity to get a portion for Qin Si so that he could try it too.

Qin Buzhu had no choice but to sit down again. After waiting for about fifteen minutes, Shi Feiye came over with something in his hand and said with a smile:

"Let's go, everything is fine."

But when the two of them finally managed to avoid the crowds that kept pressing towards them and were about to reach the exit, they heard someone calling Qin Buzhu:

"Second brother, second brother"

Shi Feiye didn't react to the address, but Qin Buzhu, who was standing in front of her, suddenly stopped, causing her to bump into his back without warning, narrowly avoiding falling.

"Hey, second brother, I've called you several times, why are you here?" Shi Feiye turned around and saw a man running over. It was Qian Bowen. He first looked at Qin Buzhu and greeted him, then noticed her behind him, and his eyes widened.
