Chapter 122 - Eating
With Qin Si smoothing things over, Shi Feiye didn't take it too seriously. The three of them strolled around for a while, and when it was past eleven o'clock, Qin Si wanted to take Shi Feiye to his restaurant, so he pulled her along, saying he was hungry.
Facing Qin Bu'ru's cold gaze, Qin Si tugged at the corner of Shi Feiye's clothes: "Aye, I'm a little hungry. Are you hungry? The food in our restaurant is delicious. Why don't you come with me to try it?"
Shi Feiye wasn't hungry. She didn't have a big appetite and had even eaten a bit too much in the morning. But she couldn't bear to refuse Qin Si: "Now that you mention it, it seems like you are a bit hungry. Let's go eat."
It turns out that the restaurant in the aristocratic school is just as aristocratic. Shi Feiye originally thought that the restaurant would at most offer a wider variety of dishes with better taste, but unexpectedly, he saw a bunch of snacks.
"Is it really okay to give snacks to children?" If children eat too much of those salty and oily foods, they will have problems, right?
"These are specially processed, not just snacks in the true sense." Qin Buzhu casually drew three cards from the door and handed one to Qin Si and Shi Feiye respectively.
Shi Feiye quickly understood Qin Bulu's meaning. The people sitting around eating weren't enjoying simple snacks; they were a bit different from their usual meals. The hot and sour noodles didn't look particularly spicy, so they probably weren't particularly sour either. The wontons were delicately crafted and small, likely having been modified. From these details, it was clear that the school's care for its students was meticulous.
"Aye, what do you want to eat? I'll go order it for you." Qin Si stared eagerly at the hot and sour noodles not far away, his whole body revealing the message of 'I really want to eat it'. Shi Feiye immediately decided: "I want to try the hot and sour noodles here."
"Okay, I'll go buy it right away." Qin Si took the card from Shi Feiye and went there.
Shi Feiye just smiled with satisfaction, but when he saw Qin Buzhu standing next to him, his smile froze. "Silly boy, have you forgotten that you have an uncle?"
"Well, what do you want to eat? I'll get it for you." Shi Feiye said to Qin Bulu.
"No need, just go sit over there and wait for a while." Qin Bulu raised his chin and gestured for Shi Feiye to go to the seat next to the window.
"Oh, okay, then I'll go and reserve a seat first." After being reminded, Shi Feiye realized the seating problem and quickly went over to sit down.
Qin Bulu didn't tell her that there was no need to reserve a seat here, as there were definitely enough seats. After seeing her sit down, he went in another direction.
Shi Feiye waited for two minutes, then got really bored, so he pulled out his phone to read a novel. As a novelist, he had to read novels frequently to ensure he could grasp market trends. Just as he was getting into it, a familiar voice appeared beside him:
"Hey, isn't this Xiaoye? Why are you here? I heard that you and Qin Buzhu haven't divorced yet. Is that true?"
The name Qin Buzhu was enough to draw Shi Feiye's attention away from the novel. She looked up and saw a rather flamboyantly dressed woman, about twenty-something, looking at her with ill intent.
After a quick mental search, Shi Feiye understood the identity of the man before him: a distant relative of the Qin family, living off the Qin family's dividends. He had always wanted to get close to Cannon Fodder, hoping to become familiar to Qin Bulu, but unfortunately, Cannon Fodder didn't like him, so he didn't succeed.
