Chapter 25 - Choosing Clothes
He was not used to being looked at by Shi Feiye in such a way. "What's wrong? Why are there so many clothes?"
"Big Boss, please help me. I haven't been to a cocktail party in a while, and I have no idea what kind of clothes are suitable for me right now. Here are some dresses I picked out that I think are suitable. Which one do you think is best?" Shi Feiye made no attempt to hide her incompetence. She didn't know if she would run into a similar situation in the future, and she couldn't just brush it off, so she might as well be frank and expose it to avoid any future embarrassment.
"Didn't you like choosing your own clothes before?" Qin Bulu thought about the results that hadn't come out yet, and then thought about the cannon fodder's behavior in the past, and asked curiously.
"At that time, the environment changed suddenly, and I was a little sensitive, so I had to choose my own clothes to maintain my dignity. But now I understand that people are what they are. There is no need to be so sensitive and make people look down on them. It is better to admit that I can't do it."
"It seems you have thought it through."
"Then you should quickly take a look at which dress is more suitable. I can't make up my mind." Shi Feiye made way and showed Qin Bulu the dress she had picked out earlier.
Looking at the more plain clothes on the sofa, Qin Buzhu nodded inwardly. Whether he had truly come to his senses or had other ulterior motives, at least his mind wasn't so foolish anymore. Unlike before, he always chose such exaggerated dresses, making them look like catwalk shows, which people couldn't even take out.
He looked around and casually pointed at the most conservative long-sleeved black dress: "Let's take this one. It's not eye-catching."
Shi Feiye immediately realized that they were likely to encounter some unpleasant situations at this cocktail party. Whether they dressed well or poorly, they would be looked down upon or even embarrassed. Therefore, dressing in a less conspicuous manner could avoid some trouble. Qin Bulu's choice was quite appropriate.
"Okay, this one then." After confirming it was this one, Shi Feiye kept it and put the others away. Since she had considered these circumstances before, she kept all the unopened dresses in the cannon fodder room.
Don't TV dramas always say dresses can't be worn a second time? If that's true, then she can't just wear the same few dresses all day and embarrass Boss Qin.
Qin Bulu asked casually: "Where are those brightly colored dresses you wore before? Don't you have any other dresses?"
"Ah, I sold some, and I kept the remaining unopened dresses. It took a lot of effort to pick out these dresses with less exaggerated colors. Don't they suit me? If not, I'll get a few more."
"Are these the only ones in this darker color?" He was a little surprised to see that there were only six dresses on the sofa. "How many dresses do you have now?"
Shi Feiye had just sorted this out this morning: "Fourteen pieces..."
"All types combined?"
"Yeah, fourteen in total, that should be enough, right? I see a lot of the others have been unpacked and are hanging in the store ready to be sold. We probably won't be attending many cocktail parties in the future, so I figured we should have enough before selling them."
Qin Buzhu didn't know what to say. Forget it, just sell it. "Well, forget it. Don't sell these anymore. Maybe they will be useful in the future."
