Chapter 33 - Daily Life
Qin Buzhu himself didn't know why he suddenly felt relieved. Perhaps it was something revealed in Shi Feiye's words that dispelled his suspicions that the other person was an old woman or some bad person. It seemed that even in a previous life, the person in front of him was a simple and kind girl.
From the first sight until now, Shi Feiye has revealed in every aspect a personality and character completely different from the cannon fodder she once was. To Qin Buzhu, who is used to seeing acting, her occasional frightening disguise is as clumsy as a child wearing adult clothes; he can see through it at a glance.
If it weren't for her kindness and good manners, she might have been sent to Master Sun by Qin Buzhu by now, but Shi Feiye knew nothing about it.
"This kind of death is truly unfortunate, so you should think twice before you act. Even if you have good intentions, you should act within your means." Qin Buzhu scooped up the porridge and took a sip. Thinking of how Shi Feiye was stabbed to death in his previous life because of his kindness, he couldn't help but say this.
Shi Feiye nodded seriously, "Yes, yes, this is truly crucial. Criminals these days are incredibly rampant." This was a lesson she had personally proven with her own life. Furthermore, Boss Qin was a truly kind person. He didn't say we shouldn't be kind, but rather that we should act within our means and maintain a true sense of purpose.
The two of them didn't bring up the topic again. After breakfast, Qin Buzhu left, leaving Shi Feiye alone in her room typing away. The contract had already been signed and mailed out. The guaranteed salary wasn't bad for a newcomer, and she'd receive her royalties next month. Thinking about the royalties brought up her plans to buy a house, but since Boss Qin had already said he'd take care of it, she didn't need to worry about it.
The boss wasn't coming home for lunch, so Shi Feiye happily ordered takeout. After finishing her meal, she quickly cleaned up and threw the trash out. As far as she could remember, Boss Qin had never ordered takeout before, so she guessed this food was just trash in his eyes. It was best not to let him see it, to avoid raising suspicions about this "delicate" woman.
In the afternoon, as usual, I shipped the goods I had sold and then went out to buy ingredients.
While walking through the supermarket, Shi Feiye suddenly realized that her life now wasn't much different from her previous life. She hadn't gotten her part-time job yet, and there was someone else in her life, but otherwise, it seemed like nothing much had changed. She still stayed home every day, occasionally going out to buy groceries, and just living her own little life.
It's probably rare to find a time traveler living as Buddhist as she does.
But how many other time travelers would be like her, whose story ends the moment they arrive? Having no way of predicting the future would be one thing, but even her path to wealth is cut off. Otherwise, she could just follow the crowd and make a little money, but now all she can rely on is the knowledge she learned in her previous life.
She picked up a cauliflower and looked at it. Suddenly, an old lady next to her said to her, "Hey, aren't you the girl who was pestered by the scumbag last time? Are you out buying vegetables too?"
"Ah?" Shi Feiye turned around and saw someone he didn't recognize. However, he immediately realized what the other person was talking about. He thought it was probably one of the aunties who taught Guan Liucheng last time. "Oh, it's you. Yes, I came out to buy some vegetables to cook dinner tonight."
"Not bad, not bad. There aren't many girls who can cook these days. Your husband is so lucky to have you."
