Chapter 44 - Shame
"Thank you very much." Qin Buzhu said with a bit of a smile.
"You're welcome. After all, you were very nice to me before." Shi Feiye waved his hand. "By the way, I also packed some food back. They are all untouched. Do you want to eat some?"
Although Qin Buzhu had lived in a privileged environment since childhood, he was definitely not one to indulge in extravagance. Aside from business matters, when he had to display his wealth, he used to eat three meals a day at home, though his cook was a bit more skilled.

"What's the problem?" Qin Bulu asked so matter-of-factly that Shi Feiye had no choice but to go to the door and get the package. When he opened it, he saw that it was indeed filled with snacks and other things.
Qin Buzhu naturally picked up a piece and put it into his mouth. After chewing and swallowing it, he gave his evaluation: "This thing tastes better when it is hot."
"Have you eaten it before?" It's strange that the boss eats sweets, but he has actually eaten desserts from this store?
Qin Buzhu glanced at Shi Feiye and slowly took out a tissue to wipe his hands: "Grandpa used to love to eat it."
Oh, Grandpa Qin loved to eat it, so Big Brother would occasionally buy it for Grandpa. Maybe it was Grandpa Qin who let Big Brother taste it. Shi Feiye suddenly realized that this would only make Big Brother Qin recall the past, and suddenly felt a little embarrassed: "Sorry."
This apology came out of nowhere, but Qin Buzhu quickly realized what she was talking about and shook his head:
"You don't have to feel sorry."
The past had nothing to do with the woman in front of him, so there was no need to apologize. Even that woman had nothing to apologize for. Grandpa had asked him to marry her because he wanted to give an explanation to his former brother and benefactor in his old age, and to give him a wife with a clean background, outstanding looks, and no scheming or influence. It would be a waste not to do something that would achieve multiple goals at once.
If you were to say that Grandpa was very kind to that woman, it wouldn't be the case; they just got what they needed. This is why he took care of her life and always gave her money, but never paid any special attention to her.
"Well, what do you want to eat tonight? I'll make it for you." Shi Feiye still felt quite ashamed. The boss had been so caring towards her in the past, and she hadn't been embarrassed since she was reborn. Yet, she had poked at his wounds, hurting him emotionally even when his business was failing. It was too much.
"Anything is fine. I have something else to do. I'll be out later and will be back a little late tonight." Qin Buzhu said as he stood up.
So the boss had been waiting for her just now? Shi Feiye quickly stood up and suddenly felt even more ashamed. Even if the two of them had no relationship as husband and wife, they were still roommates and friends. She didn't care about the boss at all.
"Okay, go ahead and do your work. I'll wait for you for dinner tonight."
Qin Buzhu glanced at her and wanted to tell her that she didn't need to wait for him that night, but seeing that she looked a little ashamed, he didn't say it out loud. Since she wanted to wait, then he would wait: "Okay."
After Qin Buzhu left, Shi Feiye thought for a moment, cleaned the house, typed for a while, and then went out to buy groceries.
