Chapter 49 - Reading the novel
Silent awkwardness filled the air. Shi Feiye pretended to be calm as she placed the ginger in the trash can on the table. "I just want to pick out the ginger."
"Actually, a few dark circles won't affect anything." Qin Bulu kindly advised.
"How could it not have an impact? A person can only live for a little over 30,000 days, maybe even less. And you only have beauty for 7,000 or 8,000 of those days at most. Every day should be cherished, otherwise time will never come back." Shi Feiye said sadly.
Qin Buzhu: "...It's up to you."
Even as he spoke, he pushed the stir-fried potato shreds that Shi Feiye loved towards her. If she hadn't cut the ginger into thin strips slightly wider than the potato shreds, how could she not have been able to tell the difference now?
Shi Feiye obediently picked up the dishes in front of her and would never reach for the dishes further away again. She didn't want to embarrass herself again.
After dinner, Shi Feiye stood up to clear the dishes, but was stopped by Qin Bulu: "Let me do it today."
"No, no, I can do it."
"You can't even see the road clearly, let me do it." However, before Qin Buzhu could pick up the bowl and chopsticks, Shi Feiye had already torn off the eye mask on her face: "It's okay, it's about time, you can take it off."
She took the dishes from Qin Buzhu's hand and, with her face still stained with liquid, hurried towards the kitchen. Qin Buzhu smiled silently, shook his head, and stopped fighting with her. As he passed the living room, he saw the computer on the coffee table with the document still open. On a whim, he walked over to see what Shi Feiye had written.
Shi Feiye packed up everything and came out to see a horrifying scene. Qin Bulu sat elegantly on the sofa, slowly rolling up the sleeves of his gray sweater, then slowly resting his elbows on his knees and resting his face on his hands, reading her novel with great concentration.
Oh my God
Shi Feiye almost rushed in front of Qin Buzhu, and then stretched out his hands to block the computer screen with lightning speed: "Don't look"
The novels she wrote were either urban romance or ancient romance, or all kinds of imaginative writing. She usually wouldn't even let her girlfriends read them, for fear that they would think she was weird. Not to mention showing them to a big shot like Qin Buzhu, because it would be too shameful and unbearable.
"Why can't I read it?" Qin Buzhu read only a few pages and thought the novel was quite funny.
Shi Feiye looked at him with a look that said, "You actually asked me why I can't read it?" Her eyes were wide open, like a kitten with its fur standing on end. "This is my work. How can you read it without my permission? And I don't want others to know what I wrote. The most important thing is, this is for girls to read."
"Okay, then I won't watch it." Qin Bulu resisted the urge to pat her on the head and stood up to make room for her. While Shi Feiye was secretly hesitating whether her attitude was too intense, he stopped at the bedroom door and suddenly said:
"Actually, I think it's a bit exaggerated that the male lead would leave the company to be with the female lead. If the male lead is the president of the company, he wouldn't have that much time."
After saying that, he went into his bedroom and closed the door, leaving Shi Feiye sitting in the place she had just sat, dumbfounded. Ah Xi, Qin Da Lao read at least two chapters, and they were the two most ridiculous chapters.
