Qin Heque woke up after sleeping for less than an hour. He looked at the time and it was only four o'clock in the afternoon.
The curtains in the room were tightly drawn, casting a shadowy gloom over the entire space. He looked at the person still asleep beside him. Her breathing was faint, and she huddled up in his arms. Qin Heque's hand brushed her warm cheek, his eyes darkening slightly. His gaze traced Cheng Yuesheng's smooth forehead, delicate nose, and then down to where he could no longer see. The more he looked at her, the more beautiful she became, and he felt as if he was becoming fascinated.
As if he had sensed the burning gaze, Cheng Yuesheng moved his body, his eyelashes trembling as he opened his eyes, and unexpectedly met Qin Heque's deep eyes.
She had just woken up and her mind was still not very clear. She seemed a little confused about the situation. She stared at Qin Heque for several seconds before she remembered that they were lying in bed together to rest.
"When did you wake up? Why didn't you wake me up?" Cheng Yuesheng's voice was a little hoarse and inexplicably sticky.
Qin Heque's hand, which was originally hugging her outside the quilt, had slipped inside without him noticing when. He still hugged Cheng Yuesheng, "I just woke up not long ago too."
"What time is it? Shouldn't we get up?"
"It's past four."
Cheng Yuesheng sat up from the bed, her clothes were wrinkled, and she frowned immediately.
If Lu Zecheng saw me like this when I got back, he would definitely misunderstand me.
Qin Heque held her in his arms, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Do you want to change clothes? There are clothes prepared for you in your room."
Because he might come to North City for a short stay often in the future, Qin Heque asked someone to prepare some commonly used clothes in the house here, including a set of Cheng Yuesheng's things.
Cheng Yuesheng looked at the shirt and dress she was wearing. She seemed to have a similar one in the cloakroom that she could change into.
She returned to her room and took a shower before changing her clothes.
Qin Heque found that she had not come out of her room for a long time after returning to it. He was a little worried, so he went to Cheng Yuesheng's room through the invisible door between the two rooms.
As soon as he opened the door, he heard the sound of water dripping from the bathroom. He sat on the sofa beside her and waited for her to come out.
Cheng Yuesheng didn't actually shower for long. As soon as she opened the bathroom door, she was startled by the figure on the sofa.
She came out wearing only a bathrobe, which only reached the middle of her thighs, exposing her long legs. Her cheeks were red from the steam, and her whole body was damp.
She looked at Qin Heque with a somewhat embarrassed expression, "Why are you here?"
Qin Heque didn't expect her to come out like this. He stared at Cheng Yuesheng quietly, his throat a little dry. "You've been gone for a long time. I was a little worried, so I came to find you."
"Oh." Cheng Yuesheng replied dryly, "Then I'm coming out. You go back. I need to change my clothes."
Qin Heque didn't move, just looked at her straight in the eyes.
Cheng Yuesheng suddenly became aware of a dangerous aura.
Then she saw Qin Heque stand up and walk towards her step by step.
Cheng Yuesheng turned around and tried to run without a second thought. But she couldn't escape the long-legged man behind her. He came up behind her in a few steps and grabbed her.
He leaned close to Cheng Yuesheng's ear and spoke in a low, hoarse voice, "Where do you want to run to?"
"I, I left something in the bathroom and want to go back and get it... um..."
Qin Heque held her earlobe in his mouth, "Really?"
"Really!" Cheng Yuesheng answered loudly, as if this could increase the credibility of her words.
Unfortunately, Qin Heque had already seen her reaction. He knew that Cheng Yuesheng was looking for an excuse to escape, so he picked her up directly.
"Ah..." Cheng Yuesheng exclaimed, "What are you doing?"
Qin Heque answered as a matter of course: "To prevent you from escaping."
He picked up Cheng Yuesheng steadily and placed her on the bed.
As soon as Cheng Yuesheng's butt touched the bed, she wanted to step back, but unfortunately, Qin Heque held her down before she could move.
This posture was not very friendly to her, so she pulled the hem of her bathrobe, trying to cover her legs.
When Cheng Yuesheng found that Qin Heque was watching her pulling at her bathrobe, she had a bad feeling.
She pursed her lips and said, "I think I twisted my ankle just now."
Qin Heque was stunned and looked down at Cheng Yuesheng's previously injured ankle.
He held Cheng Yuesheng's ankle and asked worriedly, "Is it still here?"
Cheng Yuesheng was silent for a moment, then nodded. But seeing his worried look, she felt a little guilty. Yes, she had lied to Qin Heque about the sprain.
Qin Heque seemed completely oblivious as he massaged Cheng Yuesheng's sprained area. His movements were neither too fast nor too slow, and his strength was just right, neither too light nor too heavy.
Seeing him massaging her so seriously, Cheng Yuesheng said a little embarrassedly: "I'm done, no need to continue."
Qin Heque held her ankle, his eyes moving upwards from her ankle until they met her gaze. There was a hint of inexplicable meaning in his voice as he spoke, "It doesn't hurt anymore, does it?"
"Yeah." Cheng Yuesheng nodded hurriedly, just asking him to let go of her ankle quickly.
But he still held her ankles and did not change his position.
Cheng Yuesheng suddenly felt unwell. She kicked her legs, trying to escape from Qin Heque's hand.
With a "bang", she didn't know where she kicked Qin Heque. She heard Qin Heque groan and felt his hand tighten around her ankle. She apologized quickly, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, where did I kick you?"
