No one expected such a funny scene to appear at Lu Qingxu and Xiao Yu’s wedding, and it was contributed by their own son. The guests who attended the wedding couldn’t stop laughing.
Cheng Yuesheng laughed and felt sorry for her brother. This matter would definitely spread everywhere, and everyone would know about it when they returned to North City.
Amidst laughter, the newlyweds finished their speeches and the ceremony came to a temporary end. Everyone left the wedding venue and moved to the restaurant for dinner.
The restaurant was also on the beach, and most of the ladies went to change into dresses. Cheng Yuesheng also went back to change into a more comfortable dress before coming over.
Because she was a bridesmaid, the bride's wedding dress was a figure-flattering mermaid, so her bridesmaid dress was also a slim-fitting, low-profile style. It looked curvaceous, but not very comfortable. She changed into a slightly looser skirt that just reached the floor, a style perfect for a beach vacation.
The lunch was in the form of a cocktail party. When Cheng Yuesheng arrived, Qin Heque and Lu Zecheng had already prepared a table full of food and were waiting for her.
Cheng Yuesheng sat down and looked around, "Where are Grandpa and the others?"
"Grandpa said he didn't like Western food, so he went back to the hotel with Grandpa Qin and asked the kitchen to deliver Chinese food to their room."
"What about uncle and aunt?"
"They haven't come yet."
As soon as Lu Zecheng finished speaking, he heard a welcome voice. Lu Qingxu and Xiao Yu walked slowly into the restaurant arm in arm.
Xiao Yu lowered her head slightly, holding up the hem of her skirt with one hand. Lu Qingxu looked at her sideways, his eyes focused and affectionate.
The two walked to the front of the restaurant, each holding a glass of wine. Xiao Yu raised his glass and said, "Thank you all for coming to our wedding. After lunch, you can take a good rest or go out and have some fun around the area, but don't play too hard, as we will dance together at the banquet tonight. Thank you everyone, cheers!"
Everyone raised their glasses and toasted.
Even Cheng Yuesheng was allowed to drink a small glass of champagne.
Qin Heque saw her take a sip of wine. He placed the plate of food in front of Cheng Yuesheng and said, "Eat something before drinking."
"Oh, okay." Cheng Yuesheng put down his wine glass and buried his head in eating.
The food in Boom Beach is naturally mainly seafood. The Lu and Xiao families are not short of money, and they have all kinds of delicacies air-shipped.
Seeing Cheng Yuesheng eating with gusto, Lu Zecheng also felt hungry and followed his sister's footsteps to eat. But before he was full, his parents came over and took him away, saying that they wanted to go meet their friends together.
Halfway through the walk, he turned back to look at Cheng Yuesheng and Qin Heque, and the two of them waved goodbye to him with a smile.
Lu Zecheng was taken away by his parents, and Qin Heque was able to be alone with Cheng Yuesheng. He was in a very good mood and had a smile on his lips while eating lunch. He looked at Cheng Yuesheng with bright eyes, as if there were stars twinkling in them.
Cheng Yuesheng put down the fork in his hand, wrinkled his nose and asked him: "Why are you staring at me?"
Qin Heque smiled gently and said, "I want to see more of you."
Cheng Yuesheng's heartbeat quickened at his frank words. She took a sip of the water on the table, then shyly looked away toward the sea. They had been together for quite some time, but every time she heard Qin Heque say something like that, she felt shy.
"Are you full?" Qin Heque asked.
Cheng Yuesheng nodded, "What about you?"
"I'm done eating too." He stood up and extended his hand to Cheng Yuesheng, "Let's go for a walk together."
Cheng Yuesheng looked up at him and saw that he was looking at her with a smile in his eyes. She also smiled and put her hand in his.
Qin Heque gently squeezed her soft hand and held it in his.
It would be a bit sunny, so the hotel provided free sun hats. Cheng Yuesheng took one and put it on his head. The two walked slowly along the beach hand in hand. The sea breeze lifted the hem of Cheng Yuesheng's long skirt, entangled with Qin Heque's long legs wrapped in trousers.
Cheng Yuesheng suddenly felt as if they were on vacation at the beach.
Suddenly the sea breeze became stronger, and Cheng Yuesheng was caught off guard. His hat was blown away, and his long hair fluttered on his face.
Fortunately, the hat was not blown very far away, and Qin Heque helped her pick it up.
He helped Cheng Yuesheng straighten her messy long hair, as if he was afraid of hurting her, so he was very gentle. After straightening her hair, he put the hat back on Cheng Yuesheng's head, "Put it on, don't let it blow away again."
Cheng Yuesheng pulled the brim of his hat with both hands and nodded, looking obedient.
"The wedding will be over tomorrow."
"Yes, my uncle and aunt are going on their honeymoon tomorrow, and my brother has agreed to join my uncle. He said that he wants my brother to take care of the company while he's away for the next month."
Qin Heque had long anticipated that Lu Zecheng would return to his own company, but he didn't expect it to happen so soon. This was a good thing, as he would be busier and wouldn't always disturb him and Cheng Yuesheng.
Qin Heque lowered his eyes and asked, "What about you? What are your plans next?"
"Hmm..." Cheng Yuesheng pondered for a moment, "Brother Que, I may have to stay in North City for a while. My brother has returned to work, my uncle and aunt are on their honeymoon, and grandpa is the only one left at home. I think..."
She pursed her lips and looked at Qin Heque, the apology in her eyes becoming more and more obvious.
