Chapter 18: Xie Wenwu Becomes a Disciple

The next day, Song Yuehua planted the branches she had cut yesterday in a corner of the wasteland.

Next, we have to deal with the mountain products we brought back, peeling chestnuts, drying mushrooms, and washing kudzu roots.

"master!"

Just as Song Yuehua lowered her head to peel chestnuts, a familiar voice came to her ears.

I looked up and saw that they were all old acquaintances.

Xie Quan, Xie Wenwu, and a little girl of about seven or eight years old were accompanying them.

Since changing his opinion of the Xie family, even Xie Quan, who is as strong as a bear and has a full beard, looks approachable.

Song Yuehua stood up, dusted off the dust, and went over to greet a few people.

Xie Wenwu pulled Song Yuehua over and whispered, "Master, my father is here to take me to be your disciple today. You promised me that you must keep your promise!"

"Brother, you should keep your word." A little head popped out from behind Xie Wenwu and said with a smile.

"Ahem,"

Xie Wenwu coughed awkwardly twice, then introduced, "Master, this is my sister, Xie Yu."

Song Yuehua smiled at the little girl, then looked at Xie Quan.

"Uncle Xie Quan agreed that Wenwu could learn archery from me?"

It was no problem for Song Yuehua to accept Xie Wenwu.

But she didn't expect that Xie Quan would agree.

He is an old hunter, but he handed his ten-year-old son to another ten-year-old. What was he thinking?

Xie Quan nodded and said, "My son's archery skills are not very good. If he can combine the strengths of each family, he may be able to make some progress."

Song Yuehua understood. The general idea was, I can’t teach you anymore, why don’t you try it.

Since she had already promised the other party, Song Yuehua naturally agreed, but she was still polite in her words.

"I have already agreed to it. Why would you bother to make a special trip?"

"Since you are becoming my disciple, you must be serious about it."

As Xie Quan spoke, he lifted half a piece of pork and two hens with their feet tied from the ox cart.

The moment she saw the gift, Song Yuehua's breathing stagnated. She had originally planned to give the child some pointers, but now something didn't feel right!

If Xie Wenwu learns like shit under her, how can she be worthy of this half pig!

At this moment, the pressure was like a mountain, and Song Yuehua felt a little regretful.

Song Yuehua quickly refused, "Thank you, Uncle Quan, this gift is too expensive. I don't accept such expensive gifts."

"Oh, Master!"

Xie Wenwu said hurriedly, "Just accept it, otherwise I would be embarrassed to ask you to teach me."

Why don’t you go back?

Song Yuehua secretly said this in her heart.

Xie Quan seemed to see what Song Yuehua was thinking, and said with a smile, "Don't be afraid, Miss Song. As a father, I know your talent in literature and martial arts. If you are really stupid, it's not your fault."

Song Yuehua said ashamedly, "How can I bear your kindness? Since I have accepted it, I will teach you everything I know."

The pigs were still carried into the house, and the hens were also carried in.

Regarding Xie Yu, Xie Quan explained, "Although Wenwu is still young, he is a man after all. Even if he learns archery, he will inevitably be gossiped about. If the little girl is with him, he will not be left with any gossip."

Song Yuehua neglected this aspect.

She doesn't care about herself, but she still has to take care of Xiaoyu and Xiaobao. She is very grateful to the Xie family for considering this.

Several people performed the ceremony of paying homage to their master outside the house.

After the ceremony, Xie Quan left, leaving the two big babies looking at Song Yuehua eagerly.

Song Yuehua looked at the two siblings in embarrassment, "I really don't have time to teach you today. There are too many things to do at home. How about coming back later?"

Xie Wenwu said with a smile, "The apprentice will do his best to help the master. Master, what can I do for you first?"

"It is our duty." Xie Yu corrected on the side.

"Can't you just not say it? If you do this, I will lose face in front of my master!" Xie Wenwu said in a low voice.

"But if you are wrong, the master will laugh at you!" Xie Yu said.

Xie Wenwu lowered his voice and said, "It's okay. I don't think the master is a well-educated person. If you don't tell me, no one will know."

Song Yuehua: "..."

Regardless of whether I am educated or not, my listening skills are pretty good!

Xie Wenwu was assigned to peel chestnuts.

As for Xie Yu, Song Yuehua said, "Xiao Yu, if you are tired, just rest in the house. If you are bored, just walk around here."

Xie Yu blinked and said, "Sister Song, I am also very capable. Please don't treat me differently. I will be lonely."

Song Yuehua was amused, called Xiaoyu over, and asked, "Xiaoyu, Xiaoyu just came here, can you bring her with you?"

Xiaoyu nodded hurriedly, feeling a little excited. She had never had any little sisters, and the other little girls in the village were all afraid of her grandmother, and no one wanted to talk to her.

"Xiaoyu, Xiaoyu, we are both Yu," Xie Yu said happily, pulling Xiaoyu's hand. "Just hearing the names, I thought we were sisters."

Xiaoyu smiled shyly and became bolder. "Xiaoyu, I'll take you to see my lambs. The lambs are amazing. The milk that Xiaobao and Dabao drink is all from the lambs. There are also little rabbits. The little rabbits are so cute..."

Song Yuehua suddenly realized that although her body was only 10 years old, her heart was that of an adult in her 30s.

Because of her overmature mind, she is more like a father and mother to Xiaoyu. However, as a seven-year-old girl, she certainly doesn't want to make friends of the same age.

It seems that I should thank Xie Wenwu very much.

The sun is particularly strong today.

Song Yuehua chopped the washed Pueraria root into pieces and placed them directly under the sun to dry.

They are not busy making Pueraria powder now because it is too troublesome given their space and manpower.

The brother and sister worked for her for free on the first day, so of course they couldn't be treated to a bad lunch.

Song Yuehua picked a cabbage and a white radish at Grandma Wang's house, and invited Grandma Wang to come over for dumplings at noon.
