"Get out!" Duan Yidao shouted.
"Okay, okay!" Shen Dahai ran away in fear.
Duan Yidao turned around and said to Song Yuehua, "Miss, I'm afraid there will be some trouble if you buy this house."
"It's okay. I plan to have it renovated and then find a renter to rent it out." Song Yuehua said.
You definitely can't make back your investment just by renting it out. Although you won't lose money if you sell it now, you won't make much either. It's better to rent it first as a transition, say hello to the broker, and wait until someone offers a high price before selling it.
Duan Yidao fiddled with the door for a bit and managed to temporarily lock it, but unfortunately the lock was broken.
"Let's go. You have a lot of things to buy. I'll buy a lock while you're at it." Song Yuehua said.
The next morning, as soon as the city gate opened, a man drove a donkey cart out of the city.
Duan Yidao was wearing a bamboo hat, carrying a basket on his back, and driving a donkey. There were some sundries on the cart. The guard stopped him and asked, "Please show us your pass."
Duan Yidao quickly took out his pass.
After the guard looked at it, he asked, "Why are you leaving so early and in such a hurry?"
"Oh, sir, I can't stay in Qingzhou City. Drinking water costs money, and steamed buns are more expensive than in our village. I'm afraid if I stay any longer, even breathing will cost money, and that would be unbearable."
Duan Yidao dressed up and looked like a simple country man.
When the guards heard this, they all laughed so hard that they forgot to fall asleep. They just rummaged through the groceries in the cart and then let the man go.
After the donkey cart left, a dung cart came immediately.
The guard glanced at his companion and asked, "Would you like to go and take a look?"
"What's so good about manure?" his companion scolded. "Old Li's manure truck passes by every day. What can you see?"
The one being scolded felt very wronged, "Isn't this what the prefect ordered?"
"Hey, use your brain to think about it, okay?" said the companion, "I haven't had breakfast this morning. If you insist on watching it, go ahead and watch it. Stay away from me after you finish watching it. I feel sick."
The two were still talking when Lao Li on the dung cart asked, "My two lords, can you pass?"
The guard pinched his nose and used a big knife to lift the lid. At a glance, he saw a full bucket of manure. The stench of feces and urine filled the air.
"Go, go, go." The guard waved his hands quickly.
After the manure cart left, the guards at the back were still complaining, "Look at what you can do. Why don't you reach into the manure and dig around. Maybe you can dig out a person..."
