Chapter 3: Shelter

Song Yuehua was carrying a backpack and a wooden basin in her hands. She sneered and said, "Auntie Song, if you have any objections, go find the head of the village. But I advise you to go to my parents' graves and burn some paper if you have the time. Otherwise, they will be angry and come to you in the middle of the night to claim your life!"

Mrs. Song's face turned pale and she pointed at Song Yuehua, ready to curse.

Suddenly, Boss Song, who had been silent all the time, ran over and dragged Mrs. Song into the house.

"Why are you pulling me? Didn't you see there was a thief in the house?" Mrs. Song cursed.

Boss Song said in a muffled voice, "Mom, stop making trouble!"

"I'm making a fuss!" Mrs. Song was incredulous. "Is this just my business?"

As expected, the Song family started quarreling again.

However, these had nothing to do with Song Yuehua, and since there was no one to get in the way, several people carried their belongings and left the old Song's house.

The end of the village was far away, and it took half an hour to see a dilapidated thatched house.

Song Yuehua thanked them and said, "Today, thanks to my uncle and aunt, you have all worked hard. I will invite you all to my home when I am settled down another day."

Tang waved his hand and said, "It's not easy to live in this house."

Although the house was not in good condition, Song Yuehua was still open-minded. "It's just the beginning now. It will get better slowly. At least my sister and I have a place to live."

The oldest, Song Yuehua, was only ten years old. Tang felt sorry for her, so she discussed with her eldest sister-in-law, Zhang, "Sister-in-law, why don't you go back and do the work first, and I'll help the maid clean up first."

"Aunt Tang."

Song Yuehua said hurriedly, "I appreciate your kindness. My aunts all have work to do, so we can't delay. The house is not big and it won't be troublesome to clean it up. There will be so many days in the future, so we sisters will have to come over eventually."

That being said, Tang still felt uneasy.

Zhang saw that Song Yuehua was sincere, so she pulled Tang and said, "Okay, I won't delay your cleaning. If you need any help, please don't hesitate to come and ask for help. Don't try to be stubborn."

After the few people left, Song Yuehua slumped down next to the backpack.

So, I traveled through time!
