Chapter 399: Wang Da Wang Xiao

Xie Yu, who was behind him, threw away the stick in his hand and ran over quickly, "Xiao Yu! It's really you!"

"Come in quickly."

Only then did Song Yuehua notice that in addition to Wei Da, Wang Da and Wang Xiao were also there.

"Thank you for your hard work, Uncle Wei, please come in quickly. I'll boil some water for you."

Qi Zi came over with something in her arms, "Miss, don't close the door yet."

Wang Xiao wanted to take the things from her hand, "Let me do it."

"You don't need this," Qi Zi said, leaning sideways, "There are still things in the carriage."

Wang Xiao let out an "eh" and ran over happily.

There were two large wooden boxes in the carriage. Wang Xiao dragged the boxes out with great effort. Song Yuehua picked up the boxes and said to the others, "Take the rest of the small things yourselves."

Then Song Yuehua carried the box into the house easily.

Wang Xiao, "..."

"Our eldest girl is very strong." Wei Da explained.

Wang Xiao felt a chill in his heart, after all, he was a martial artist.

Several people moved all the things into the house. Wei Da drove the carriage to the school. Qi Zi stayed in the house to clean up. Wang Da and Wang Xiao were called by Song Yuehua to the kitchen to drink water.

Several people sat in the kitchen.

There were two pots, one for boiling water and the other for cooking porridge. Song Yuehua washed a few salted duck eggs and put them in to cook together. She also took out some pickled beans and pickled radishes and cut them into pieces.

"It's too late today, so just make do with it for now. I'll make you a delicious meal tomorrow." Song Yuehua said.

Xiaoyu and Xiaoyu sat at the stove, lighting a fire, and said with a smile, "Sister, please stop struggling. We haven't seen each other for almost three years. I have a lot to tell you."

"You are so rude. You are not hungry, but aren't others hungry too?" Song Yuehua said helplessly, "Uncle Wei made two trips, and Brother Wang and Brother Wang came all the way to send you back, and this is how you treat people."

Wang Da and Wang Xiao sat by the small water tank. Wang Xiao waved his hand and said, "Miss Song, there is no need to worry about us two. We..."

"Miss Song, you don't have to be polite." Wang Da interrupted quickly.

The water just boiled, and Song Yuehua took out a bowl and made a bowl of brown sugar water for the others, "Don't put too much sugar, just quench your thirst first."

After scooping out all the water in the pot, Song Yuehua scooped half a pot of water into it and steamed a small plate of bacon. Only then did she calm down.

Xiaoyu held Song Yuehua's hand and sighed.

"I only heard Uncle Wei say that the village had built a wall. I arrived at the entrance of the village tonight and shouted for a long time at the gate before I was able to get in. Fortunately, my sister had foresight. I think our entire village has avoided a lot of trouble during the drought."

Xie Yu lowered his head and said nothing. Song Yuehua smiled and asked, "Is the village okay? Have you had a hard time in the past two years of drought?"

"When I left home, my elder sister gave me some rice. Later, when I arrived in the city, I bought a lot more. After the two uncles from the Xie family came, they bought a lot more rice to store. I have never been hungry in the past three years."

Xiaoyu paused after finishing her words, and then continued, "It is a little strange. Qingzhou was not peaceful during the drought, but Hualin Alley where we live has never encountered any incidents. We guess that perhaps there is some important person living in Hualin Alley, which makes it peaceful. Sister, you really bought a good place."

Xie Yu asked from the side, "The people outside don't dare to attack you, so they have some concerns. Why don't you ask them?"

Xiaoyu took a sip of the sugar water and said, "Pei Feng thought so too, but I was afraid of causing trouble, so I only asked them to investigate privately and not make a big noise and attract attention."

Song Yuehua listened quietly on the side. The drought was over. For her, it was enough that Xiaoyu and the others were safe.

"Why didn't you bring Pei Feng and Jiang Yu with you when you came back this time?" Song Yuehua asked.

Xie Yu also asked, "My eldest brother wrote to me last time saying that he went out of town. Has he not come back yet?"

Xiaoyu replied, "I left Jiang Yu in Qingzhou and asked her to look after the yard."

"As for Brother Wenwu, after he arrived in Qiongzhou, he sent a letter to Qingzhou, saying that the fruit was abundant there, and that he was enjoying the desserts and snacks made with local sweet fruits and other ingredients. It opened his eyes and he was so engrossed in the food that he couldn't leave."

"But the people in Qiongzhou are not easy to get along with. I heard that most of them treat outsiders with a domineering attitude. For this bite of food, Brother Wenwu has endured a lot of arrogance. I am afraid that something will happen to him outside, so I quickly asked Pei Feng to go and pick him up."

Song Yuehua said worriedly, "It's not safe for Jiang Yu to be alone in the yard."

Xiaoyu finished drinking the sugar water and stood up to help Song Yuehua scoop porridge. "Zhao Doudou also came to Qingzhou to be an apprentice to Doctor Hu. He and Jiang Yu can also have someone to take care of them in Qingzhou. Before I left, I greeted Zhao Yaren and asked him to help take care of them. There are also a few women next door. Although there were some disputes during the years they lived there, it was generally harmonious."

Several people lit oil lamps and ate in the dining hall. When they had almost finished eating, the water in the big pot in the bathroom boiled, and Song Yuehua carried several buckets of water and poured them into the bathtub.

After eating, Wei Da went back to school. Xiaoyu and Qi Zi went to take a shower first. Xie Yu went to help them pack their clothes. Song Yuehua started to clean up the dishes, and Wang Xiao and Wang Da also helped her clean up.

"Miss Song, the Second Master has something to give you."

Wang Da called Song Yuehua aside and took out a thick envelope. Wang Xiao also wanted to come over, but was waved away by Wang Da.

Song Yuehua wiped her hands with a rag, took the envelope under the oil lamp and opened it. There was a thick stack of letters with the handwriting on them very sloppily.

Before this, Song Yuehua had never seen Yan Yujiu's handwriting, and didn't know if this was the usual handwriting of the second master of the Yan family, so she didn't take it seriously and continued reading.
