Chapter 14 Don't tell me, you really shouldn't tell me!

Qingyao looked completely bewildered. She pursed her lips repeatedly, finally managing to squeeze out a dry sentence as if resigned to her fate:

"Princess, I am not well-educated, please don't lie to me."

Shang Changge looked up at the roof with a serious expression, his words filled with melancholy and sighs:

"Actually, I'm not entirely sure either, but I ate the poisoned food that day and was perfectly fine, so I came up with this theory..."

As they talked, they started rummaging through the bottles and jars containing poison, trying to determine which bottle contained the antidote for which poison.

Taking advantage of Qingyao's inattention, he suddenly opened the package, poured out a poison pill, and swallowed it.

Qingyao cried out in alarm: "Princess!"

Shang Changge remained calm and composed, finishing her sentence as she drank the water, and even comforting Qingyao:

"So I thought I'd give it a try. It's alright, what I just ate wasn't fatal, it's just that my stomach is cramping terribly."

Qingyao: "But..."

Qingyao stared intently at Shang Changge, clutching the antidote tightly in her hand.

It looked as if it were about to pry open its master's mouth and forcefully pour the antidote into it if the master frowned.

The poison would take effect within 15 minutes, but to be on the safe side, Shang Changge waited a full 15 minutes.

As a result, she was perfectly fine; not only did she not have a stomachache, but she also felt more energetic than before.

Shang Changge: "Qingyao, it seems that I am truly immune to all poisons."

Qingyao was genuinely happy for her master, but also a little worried. Her face, a mixture of smiles and bitterness, resembled a smiling bitter gourd.

Shang Changge suppressed the urge to laugh and looked away to pick up the poison on the table.

Taking what was potentially fatal, this time he consciously didn't need Qingyao to take it; he proactively placed the antidote into Qingyao's hand and instructed her:

"If my expression turns out bad later, you'd better shove the antidote into my mouth right away."

Admittedly, she wanted to try, but she didn't want to die while trying; she still valued her life!

With a solemn expression, as if entrusted with a great responsibility, Qingyao gripped the antidote tightly to her chest and nodded earnestly: "Princess, rest assured!"

This time, the poison in the bottle was still a pill.

Shang Changge uncorked the bottle and poured the contents into his palm. Looking at the three small, dark brown pills lying in his hand, he took a deep breath.

Then he stuffed it into his mouth and swallowed it, and then he held his breath and stared at Qingyao nervously.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

As time ticked by, Shang Changge's smile grew wider and wider.

Don't tell me, you really shouldn't tell me!

She's really fine; there's not a single sign of poisoning!

"Princess, the poison really has no effect on you!" Qingyao also noticed, her eyes shining with joy as she exclaimed softly.

Shang Changge's smile gradually became unrestrained, and finally he put his hands on his hips and burst into loud laughter.

The laughter was so loud that it startled the two unsuspecting maids guarding the study door!

"Pfft—"

Qingyao couldn't help but laugh. That's great! From now on, she no longer has to worry about anyone maliciously poisoning the princess!

Shang Changge was completely oblivious; at this moment, she saw no one but herself.

Unable to extricate themselves from the joy of regaining their two superpowers, the powers were still there.

So what if my combat power isn't what it used to be? Just keep training for ten days to half a month, and I'll be sure to regain my former awesome skills.

No matter how many assassins come, she can kill them all in a chaotic frenzy. Even without her princess status, she will still thrive.

The night was endless.

Shang Changge was so happy that she became overly excited and then suffered from insomnia.

He lay comfortably on the soft bed in a starfish position, staring at the top of the canopy, occasionally revealing a slightly perverted smile.

Luckily, no one was around, otherwise, in the middle of the night, someone would wake up halfway through their sleep and turn their head...

Seeing your partner laugh like that every now and then would be terrifying.

"Knock knock".

Two very soft knocks on the door.

Just as Shang Changge glanced over out of the corner of his eye, Qingyao, who was sleeping on the small bed in the outer room, had already put on her outer robe, gotten out of bed, and opened the door.
