Chapter 11 Adventure

In Jiang Zhixu's study in the front yard, Jiang Zhixu and Jin Linlin were facing each other across the desk like fighting cocks.

Jin Linlin was filled with deep regret at this moment. She wanted to slap herself twice. If she had known, she would not have come out tonight. Jin Linlin clearly remembered that in the later part of the book, the gold and silver treasures left by the Duke of Zhenguo eventually fell into the hands of the Second Prince. The Second Prince used these treasures to raise an army, and later directly forced the emperor to abdicate, resulting in the tragic deaths of countless people.

The book happened to mention the hiding place of the treasure, and Jin Linlin thought that since she had the space, the wealth must belong to her. So she asked Yin Ping and others to dress her up as a fat, dark-skinned man with a full beard, thick black eyebrows, and the same outfit as that worn on the night of the auction.

She thought she had to find the hostess, after all, she was agile and strong, and it would be safer with her protection. But who knew that just as she was about to reach the courtyard of the third room, she was captured by Jiang Zhixu's secret guards and taken to his study.

Jiang Zhixu stared at the short, fat man with a black beard who looked exactly like the one he had that night. The stone in his heart finally fell to the ground. He breathed a sigh of relief and thought to himself: I have finally found the antidote pill!

"Tell me, who are you? Why are you sneaking around here in the middle of the night? What are you doing?" Jiang Zhixu asked sternly.

"Don't try to hide it from me. I've seen you at the auction." He signaled to the secret guards with his eyes. Guards A1 and A2 took a step forward like hungry tigers pouncing on their prey. They grabbed Jin Linlin's arms tightly and pushed them forward. Jin Linlin knelt down in front of Jiang Zhixu like a kite with a broken string!

Jin Linlin's mind raced. Seeing him mention the auction, she assumed he was looking for elixirs. Then, remembering the poison he had been poisoned with, she straightened her back, confidently threw away Armor One and Armor Two, and stood up suddenly.

"What do you care which room I'm from? I just want to ask for medicine." Jin Linlin was afraid of being recognized, so she deliberately raised her voice and spoke in a muffled voice.

Jiang Zhixu was unwilling to play tricks on him any longer. He showed impatience and said coldly, "I just want the antidote pill. Hand it over quickly, or you won't be able to leave this room today."

"Yes, you know my antidote pills are priceless. How about this? You just do two things for me tonight, and I'll give you the antidote pills tomorrow morning. No money required."

Jin Linlin twirled his beard, pondered for a moment, and thought to himself: Since the heroine can protect me and help me find the treasure, then Jiang Zhixu must be able to do it too. I remember that he has deep internal strength and superb martial arts skills!

Otherwise, how could he have returned safely from the battlefield full of swords and spears, and been promoted to the third rank.

Jiang Zhixu frowned, sizing up Jin Linlin with a hawk-like gaze, secretly trying to guess what this mysterious man was asking for. "Tell me, what are the two things?" his voice was icy cold.

Jin Linlin rubbed her hands together and lowered her voice, as if afraid of being overheard. "First, accompany me to a secluded place in the Duke of Zhenguo's Mansion and help me retrieve some items. Second, be sure to protect me during this process."

Jiang Zhixu's eyes froze, as if he had fallen into an icy cellar. What could possibly be hidden within the Zhenguo Mansion? What this mysterious person had taken must be something truly extraordinary. "If I help you achieve this, you must keep your promise." His voice, deep as thunder, echoed in the air.

Jin Linlin patted her chest and promised solemnly, "Don't worry, my words are as good as gold and I won't lie a bit."

Jiang Zhixu no longer hesitated and quietly left the study with Jin Linlin. The moonlight, like silver, cast a shadow over their path. The heavy shadows of the Zhenguo Mansion seemed to conceal countless secrets. They cautiously headed towards the hidden place.

Hidden beneath the grounds of the Zhenguogong Mansion lies a secret chamber. In his youth, the old Zhenguogong fought bravely on the battlefields, achieving countless military exploits and amassing mountains of gold, silver, and treasure. He surrendered half of the haul to the imperial court, while the remaining half, cherished as a treasure, was secretly hidden in a secret chamber, intended for his only beloved son.

Unfortunately, his son was a useless person, and his wife was an ignorant and foolish woman with a narrow vision. After becoming the wife of the Duke, she offended all the noble ladies in the capital.

The old Duke Zhenguo was worried that handing over this wealth to them would bring them fatal disaster, so he concealed the existence of this wealth.

The old Duke had left two passages in this secret room, like two hidden paths leading to unknown treasures. However, before his death, he sealed both passages tightly.

According to the book, one passage was located under the bed of the old Duke of Zhenguo and his wife, like a sleeping secret; the other was under the toilet in the basement in the backyard, like a forgotten corner.

Jin Linlin led Jiang Zhixu and hurried to the main courtyard. Just as they were about to step in, Jiang Zhixu stopped them.

"This is the main courtyard where my parents live. How can you barge in casually? Absolutely not!" Jiang Zhixu's voice was like a solid barrier, blocking Jin Linlin's steps. Jin Linlin forgot that he was now a man.

After the old Duke of Zhenguo passed away, the wife moved into Ci'an Hall, and the current Duke of Zhenguo and Zhuang moved into their main house. You can only enter from this entrance, you can't go to the backyard to dig a toilet!

Jin Linlin stamped her feet anxiously and lowered her voice, "There's something I want in there, we have to go in." Jiang Zhixu frowned, "What a disgrace it would be if my parents found out."

Jin Linlin's eyes rolled, "You are very skilled in martial arts, let's go in quietly without being discovered." Jiang Zhixu hesitated for a moment, and finally nodded.

Taking advantage of the night, the two quietly crept into the main courtyard. Moonlight cast a shadow on the ground, casting their nervous figures. As they approached the bedroom, they suddenly heard a cough from within.
