Chapter 25 Revenge

This hot spring restaurant is amazing! The pools gurgled with steam, and the surroundings were elegant and inviting. Jin Linlin and Cao Jiao soaked in the hot springs, feeling the warm water wash away their fatigue.

It was so refreshing to soak in the hot springs. When we came out of the restaurant, it was already dark. We had no choice but to stay at the farm for one night and return home tomorrow.

When they arrived at Jin Linlin's dowry farm, the head of the farm was shocked. Why did his young lady come to the farm so late?

"Uncle Qian, don't be nervous. I came out to soak in the hot springs today and accidentally forgot the time. The city gate must have been closed, so I came to stay at the manor for one night. You should hurry up and get ready. There are so many people here, you have to make arrangements."

Jin Linlin explained to Uncle Qian with a smile and pointed at these people.

"Okay, miss, I'm glad you're okay."

He finally breathed a sigh of relief, the heavy stone in his heart finally fell to the ground. The master's family was a well-known wealthy family in Jiangnan, but after all, they were scholars, farmers, merchants and artisans.

The master was very worried when the young lady married into the Duke's Mansion. Before the wedding, he repeatedly instructed those who came with her as a dowry to take good care of her. If anything happened to her, they would have no good life.

"Oh, Uncle Qian, please send a pigeon and have the people at the shops in the city tell the Duke's Mansion that the Third Madam and I will be staying at the manor tonight."

Uncle Qian quickly arranged the guest rooms and asked the kitchen to prepare some hot meals. After the arrangements were completed, he sent a pigeon to inform the Duke's Mansion.

Jin Linlin and Cao Jiao were assigned to an upper room, where the charcoal fire burned brightly, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. After washing up, they sat at the table and ate some snacks.

Suddenly, a chaotic noise came from the yard. Uncle Qian hurried over and said anxiously, "Miss, a group of people have come to the village. They say they are bandits from the nearby mountains and want us to hand over our money and food."

Jin Linlin's brows suddenly frowned, and she was so angry. This village has always been quiet, so why did something like this happen today?

She stood up suddenly, a hint of determination flashed in her eyes, and said to Uncle Qian: "Uncle Qian, don't be afraid, I have a way." After that, she turned to look at Cao Jiao.

Cao Jiao also felt that the matter was a bit strange. They were fine at other times, so why did the bandits go down the mountain as soon as they arrived?

She was not afraid of Cao Jiao on her side, Chunxue Qiuyu Qiuyu who was a secret guard, and the guards she brought with her when she went out.

In a few moments, Cao Jiao and her companions beat the bandits like fallen leaves in the autumn wind, leaving them pissing and crying for their parents. Uncle Qian then led his men to tie these people up.

Jin Linlin looked at Cao Jiao. Cao Jiao shook her head slightly and pointed to the room where we would stay tonight. Jin Linlin understood what she meant. Their only enemy in this world was Princess Qingmin.

Given Princess Qingmin's temperament, how could she send only these low-ranking bandits? Clearly, there were further actions to follow. The two tiptoed outside the house, and Chunxue Qiuyu followed closely.

Jin Linlin took out a long, rectangular box from her sleeve, which was actually taken out from the space. She opened the box and took out the incense. Cao Jiao took the incense, lit it, and threw it into the house through the window paper.

After a while, there was a sound of something heavy falling in the house. Chunxue Qiuyu opened the door and walked in without hesitation, only to see four masked men in black lying asleep in the house.

Jin Linlin walked forward and pulled off the mask of one of the men in black, and found that it was a close confidant of Princess Qingmin, whom she had seen in the hot spring restaurant during the day.

It seems that Princess Qingmin is indeed behind this matter. A sneer appeared on Jin Linlin's lips, and she already had a plan in mind.

She asked Uncle Qian to lock these people up and sever their tendons, just in case they woke up and turned out to be masters. They would be hard to resist and the loss would outweigh the gain. They would make a decision after daybreak.

Jin Linlin and Cao Jiao sat on the courtyard wall, holding sweet potatoes they had just taken from the kitchen, blowing on them as they put them into their mouths:

"This Princess Qingmin is really stubborn and has a heart as vicious as a snake. What do you think we should do with her?" Cao Jiao asked while eating sweet potatoes.

"Sending it to the government, or even sending it to the emperor, will be of no avail. She is about to get married, and these trivial matters are insignificant compared to national interests. The emperor will naturally not do anything to her. She also knows very well that even if she is discovered, the emperor will not punish her, so she is so fearless." Jin Linlin said thoughtfully.

"So we're just going to let her go? Won't that just make her more unscrupulous?"

Jin Linlin approached Cao Jiao with a smile and asked flatteringly, "Sister, with your martial arts skills, can you help me jump over the wall and enter the city?"

"Of course. I have been practicing Qinggong recently. Even Zhounian, the best martial artist in the world, couldn't get into the city wall, but I can. I have tried trees that are taller than the city wall, and I can easily jump over them." Cao Jiao said proudly.

"That's great, sister. Let's go to the city tonight. If we don't vent our anger and teach him a lesson, how can we let it go? Humph!" Jin Linlin rubbed her hands, eager to give it a try.

By the time Jin Linlin and Cao Jiao arrived at Princess Qingmin's mansion, it was already three o'clock in the morning.

Princess Qingmin has her own mansion. When the marriage is celebrated, the emperor will confer her the title of princess and marry her to Dong Jinguo.

This princess's mansion looked quite strange. Cao Jiao glanced at Jin Linlin and immediately dressed herself up as a fat black man with a beard. Not only that, she also dressed Jin Linlin in the same way. From a distance, they looked like a pair of twins.

As soon as the two entered the princess's mansion, they were caught by the secret guards patrolling at night, tied up and thrown into the woodshed.

The two were suddenly bewildered. What was going on? The guards outside said that the princess had gone to accompany the third princess and would not return home tonight. They would be handed over to the princess tomorrow.
