Zhenguogong Mansion
There was a panic in Cao Jiao's room, with midwives coming in and out and maids busy as well.
Cao Jiao lay on the couch, groaning in pain, with beads of sweat rolling down her forehead.
Jin Linlin paced back and forth outside the room, her brows furrowed and her face full of anxiety. Why was this child born prematurely?
"Second Madam, Third Madam is weak from premature birth and her condition is not good!"
A maid ran out crying and reported. Jin Linlin almost collapsed when she heard it:
"What did Aunt Zi say?" After saying that, she rushed into the delivery room, walked to the bedside, and grabbed Cao Jiao's hand:
"Jiaojiao, hold on, the baby will be born soon."
While comforting Cao Jiao, he looked at Aunt Zi:
"Aunt Zi, what happened?"
Aunt Zi wiped the sweat off her face and said solemnly, "Second Madam, Third Madam has lost too much blood, and the baby's position is not right. I'm afraid..."
Jin Linlin's heart tightened, and she gritted her teeth and said, "No matter what, we must protect the Third Madam and the child."
As she was speaking, Cao Jiao suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood and said weakly, "Linlin, I'm afraid I can't make it. This child... must be saved."
Jin Linlin's eyes were red, and she held her hand tightly: "Jiaojiao, don't talk nonsense, you will be fine."
Just then, there was a commotion outside the delivery room. It turned out that Jiang Shuyan had returned.
Jiang Shuyan didn't care whether the delivery room was auspicious or not. He ran in and saw his wife's miserable state. His heart suddenly tightened. He rushed to the bedside, held Cao Jiao's hand, and said in a trembling voice:
"Jiaojiao, you will be safe and sound. I won't allow anything to happen to you."
Cao Jiao forced a smile and said weakly, "Shuyan, I... I can't hold on any longer, child..."
Before she could finish her words, another wave of severe pain hit her and her body shook violently.
Jiang Shuyan's eyes turned red, and he yelled at the midwives and doctors:
"You better think of a solution quickly. If anything happens to her, your whole family will be dead."
At this moment, Jin Linlin suddenly thought of an idea. She walked over to Cao Jiao and asked:
"Jiaojiao, you know about cesarean sections, right? Should we give it a try? I have some Ma Fei San. But you know none of us know how to do it, so we can only try it ourselves, and it's very risky."
Cao Jiao gritted her teeth when she heard this:
"It's already like this, let's give it a try! But if anything happens to me, the two children will need your care."
Jin Linlin nodded while crying, and asked the servants to get the scalpel that had been prepared in advance. Her electronic pharmacy did not have the medicines needed for premature birth and difficult labor, so she prepared it in advance just in case.
Jiang Shuyan immediately ordered someone to prepare it. Ma Fei San was quickly prepared, and Jin Linlin personally fed it to Cao Jiao.
Cao Jiao slowly fell asleep, and Aunt Zi performed the operation. Jin Linlin slowly explained the principles of cesarean section to Aunt Zi. Although Aunt Zi was nervous, she had no choice but to go ahead with it.
Her hands trembled slightly as she carefully moved the knife as Jin Linlin had instructed.
Jiang Shuyan clenched his fists tightly, not daring to take his eyes off Cao Jiao. Time seemed to freeze, and every second was excruciating.
Finally, with a faint cry, the first child was born safely. Before anyone could even breathe a sigh of relief, they nervously continued with the follow-up procedures. Soon, the second child was also born.
Aunt Zi quickly tended to the wounds, and everyone collapsed on the ground, exhausted. Jiang Shuyan looked at the two wrinkled babies, then at the unconscious Cao Jiao, and his eyes moistened again.
Jin Linlin checked Cao Jiao's condition and found that she was fine, so she felt relieved. Jiang Shuyan looked at Jin Linlin gratefully:
"Second sister-in-law, this time it's all thanks to you." Jin Linlin smiled tiredly. "We're family, so we don't have to gossip about each other. As long as my sister-in-law and the child are safe, that's all that matters."
Inside the Duke Zhenguo's Mansion, there was excitement over the arrival of these two little lives.
Cao Jiao Ma Fei San hadn't worn off yet, and she fell into a coma. Jiang Shuyan stayed by her bedside, holding her hand tightly, his eyes full of heartache and worry, praying that she would wake up soon.
Jin Linlin quickly looked at the two children in the nanny's arms. They were red and wrinkled, with pouty lips as if about to cry. The nanny smiled:
"Second Madam, the two young masters are hungry. I will take them down to feed them."
Jin Linlin's eyes sparkled:
"So both of them are young masters?"
The wet nurse also answered yes with a smile, and then took the baby away to feed him.
Jin Linlin heaved a sigh of relief, walked to the door, looked at the sunset, and smiled happily. In front of everyone:
"The third house has a new baby, both mother and child are safe, and the Duke of Zhenguo's mansion has a successor. This is a great joy, and everyone in the mansion will be rewarded with half a year's salary."
As soon as Jin Linlin finished speaking, the mansion suddenly became lively and everyone knelt down to express their gratitude.
She was also exhausted, and after arranging everything, she returned to Zhiyuanju.
After returning, he leaned back on the chaise longue and looked at Haruyuki:
"Have the soldiers surrounding the mansion outside retreated?" Jin Linlin asked tiredly.
Haruyuki quickly grabbed a wet handkerchief and gently wiped her hands.
"Madam, please don't worry. I just asked the Third Master's servant, and he said that after the morning court session, the Imperial Preceptor and the Crown Prince of Dong Jinguo have been found."
Jin Linlin felt a little more at ease after hearing this, and asked, "Oh? Then where were they found?"
Chunxue continued, "To answer Madam, the Imperial Preceptor was found at Su Cifu's residence, while the Crown Prince was found at Duke Mu's residence."
Aunt Bai gently pressed Jin Linlin's temples to soothe her nervousness and interrupted:
"Yes, I have heard about it too. Both of them are dead. When the eldest prince learned of this, he was furious. However, since both the Su family and the Duke Mu's Mansion held high positions, the eldest prince said he would wait until the emperor returned before making any further decisions. Now, all three clans of the Su family and the three clans of the Duke Mu's Mansion have been taken to the Dali Temple."
