"The Queen Mother wants the military token, you should hand it over to her immediately."
Ouyang Zhen said anxiously, he was really afraid that the Queen Mother would vent her anger on the Ouyang family because of this matter.
"That was left by the late emperor to save my son's life. Why should I hand it over?" She clenched her fists tightly and answered with determination.
However, despite his tough attitude, she never revealed the whereabouts of the military token.
"She sent many assassins, and I guess Jin'er is being hunted now. If you two are dead, what's the point of having the military token? How could you be so stupid?"
Ouyang Zhen was both angry and anxious, and couldn't help laughing.
"The Empress Dowager is in power now. If the Emperor knew about this, your fate would be even worse. The Princess is your Majesty's biological sister. She kept 30,000 soldiers and horses, but gave the military command to you, and even let the Princess raise these soldiers. If the Emperor knew about this, even if he had you torn into pieces, it would not be enough to ease his hatred!"
Ouyang Zhen's words were like a heavy hammer, hitting her heart hard.
Her face turned pale instantly, and her body began to tremble uncontrollably. Her voice was filled with fear and helplessness, and she asked tremblingly:
"Then...what should I do?"
Ouyang Zhen paced anxiously around the room. "The only plan now is to stabilize the Queen Mother. Hand over the military token, and then find a way to negotiate with the Princess."
She bit her lip, her eyes filled with reluctance and hesitation, "But once this military token is handed over, Jin'er and I will have no one to rely on."
At this moment, there was a loud noise outside the house, as if a large number of people were rushing in. Ouyang Zhen's face changed.
"The Queen Mother's men are about to come in." She made up her mind, "Forget it, let's deal with the present first." She hurriedly took out the military order from a hidden place and handed it to Ouyang Zhen.
The door was flung open, and the eunuch beside the Empress Dowager shrilled, "The Empress Dowager has ordered that you hand over your military tokens and I will spare your lives."
Ouyang Zhen hurried forward and presented the military token with both hands. The eunuch took it and snorted coldly, "You're quite sensible. The Queen Mother wants to see the Madam."
The two looked at each other, and the eldest lady had no choice but to follow the eunuch out the door.
Ouyang Jin was being chased by men in black at this time, and his personal guards were almost killed. Just when he thought he was going to die, the sound of horse hooves suddenly came from a distance, and a team of men in black quickly came over.
The leader was Mo Ren. Jin Linlin learned from Jiang Shiwei that Ouyang Jin would be hunted tonight, so she sent secret guards over.
Seeing the situation was bad, the men in black fled. Ouyang Jin breathed a sigh of relief and followed Mo Ren to the Zhenguogong Mansion.
Meanwhile, the eldest lady was brought before the Queen Mother. Holding the military token, the Queen Mother said with a smug smile, "You're quite sensible. However, I won't let you off so easily."
The eldest lady pretended to be calm and said, "Your Majesty, I have handed over the military token. I hope Your Majesty will keep your promise."
The Queen Mother sneered, "Promise? I was just saying it casually. Why didn't you think of me when you were making love with my husband?"
The lady felt a chill in her heart:
"I was forced too!"
"We are best sisters! How have I treated you all these years? What about you? You're quite clever, tricking that old man into leaving 30,000 troops for you and your son. So you can leave them! And you even want to raise my daughter for you. How shameless!"
The empress dowager was indignant. The emperor had never thought of using this army for the sake of his elder sister, but the late emperor was more calculating.
Then Mammy came to her and whispered in her ear:
"My Lady, Ouyang Jin escaped and was rescued."
"You useless idiot! With so many people, you still let them escape." The Queen Mother was furious.
Turning to look at her best friend:
"Go ahead, I'll make your death quick." The Queen Mother said viciously. The eldest lady's eyes widened in fear, her legs weakened and she almost collapsed to the ground, she cried:
"Empress Dowager, please spare my life for the sake of our past friendship. I won't dare to do it again." But the Empress Dowager was unmoved. With a wave of her hand, two palace maids came forward and held the eldest lady.
The nanny held a bottle of Hedinghong in her hand, walked up to Madam Ouyang, and poured the medicine into her mouth. Seeing that she had drunk it, the two palace maids let her go.
After a while, the poison took effect. The eldest lady covered her throat in pain, her body twitching as she fell to the ground with her eyes wide open, dying with her eyes open. What the eldest lady didn't tell her was that the military token was fake.
The Queen Mother looked at her body and snorted coldly, "This is the fate of betraying me." Then, the Queen Mother ordered, "Go and capture Ouyang Jin as well. I want him alive or dead."
The subordinates began to look for Ouyang Jin everywhere again, so as to completely eradicate the problem.
Zhenguogong Mansion
Ouyang Jin was seriously injured and lay unconscious in bed. Jin Linlin could only use the rejuvenation pills from the electronics store to pull Ouyang Jin back from the brink of death.
Mo Ren hurried over to report, "Madam, the Queen Mother's people are searching everywhere for Master Ouyang again."
Jin Linlin frowned, thought for a moment, and then said, "Now we can only hide him first and make long-term plans later."
Ouyang Jintian slowly woke up when it was almost dawn, but his body was still heavy, as if he was trapped in the bed by an invisible force and could not move.
Just as he was struggling to get up, she stood quietly by the bed, watching Ouyang Jin struggle to scoop up a bowl of steaming porridge with a spoon and put it into his mouth.
Ouyang Jin caught a glimpse of Jin Linlin's arrival and quickly put down the bowl in his hand. He clasped his hands together, gave her a standard salute, and said gratefully, "Thank you, Second Madam, for saving my life. Ouyang Ming is deeply grateful."
Jin Linlin's lips curled up slightly, revealing a faint smile. She gently raised her hand, indicating that Ouyang Jin didn't need to be so polite, and then asked slowly:
