All the friends were invited by Ling Yuan. You may not notice anything the first or second time, but after a few times, you will always notice some clues.
Whenever he saw Ling Yuan ordering Yu Huan's favorite food first, or when he naturally helped her hold things, he would laugh in a good-natured way.
Such laughter can easily arouse the imagination of young people.
Ling Yuan brought the newly served snacks to Yu Huan while pretending to be angry and scolding them.
The atmosphere here was harmonious and sweet, but in the other side of the box, there was a pair of dark eyes staring coldly at the person next to Yu Huan.
"Do you want to play games or go out to catch dolls?" Someone picked up the microphone. The volume was deafening, and Ling Yuan moved closer when asking the question because he was afraid he couldn't hear clearly.
They were so close that they seemed to be able to breathe the same air. Ling Yuan could even faintly smell her fragrance. He didn't know whether he was imagining too much or the fragrance really existed. His face turned red.
Yu Huan was about to speak when there was a sudden commotion over there. Amidst the lively noise, he heard a voice saying, "Brother Lu is so generous!"
Yu Huan was a little curious and listened vaguely for a few more words. It seemed that the man had settled the bill.
She turned her head to look, but there were many figures blocking her view and she couldn't see anything clearly.
But soon, someone came over to them and said to them enthusiastically: "Let me introduce you to someone, my new friend, he is reliable and generous..."
A slender figure walked towards them slowly, passing through the crowd of people who were standing or sitting, with a leisurely and decent smile on his face.
"Hello." He raised his lips and showed a decent smile.
The neon-like beam of light just happened to slant past, and his tall shadow fell on the cream-yellow hem of Yu Huan's skirt.
She was surprised, and Ling Yuan also recognized him as the person who brought Yu Huan back that day. He first glanced at Yu Huan's face.
The person who came to introduce him failed to perceive the subtle atmosphere and continued to speak well of Lu Songzhou: "This buddy is so righteous that he paid the bill for our private room as soon as he arrived."
The minimum bill for a large private room in this place is at least 10,000 yuan. There were so many people, and they ordered a lot of food and drinks, which must have exceeded the bill by a lot. It was also the weekend, so it was indeed a considerable expense. No wonder Lu Songzhou's behavior caused a commotion among the crowd.
The man continued to boast: "...The moment I saw him, I felt we had a good rapport. Let's become friends, and it will be fun to hang out together in the future. Come on, Brother Lu, what's your name?"
Ling Yuan remembered him. He seemed to be Yu Huan's brother, but with a different surname. So he should be his cousin.
Yu Huan didn't seem to like him very much, and it wasn't known whether they had any private conflicts. But if they really got together in the future, it wouldn't be good if their relationship was still so ugly.
Ling Yuan wanted to be the lubricant between the two of them, so he gently moved his little finger, glanced at Yu Huan's expression, and said politely: "Hello, brother."
Lu Songzhou gave him a hypocritical smile, then turned his head and fixed his gaze on the silent Yu Huan. He looked puzzled, bent down to peek at Yu Huan's expression, and asked, "Why don't you call me brother anymore?"
Yu Huan's mission was completed. He no longer had to cause trouble. He stopped pretending and said unhappily, "Who asked you to come?"
Lu Songzhou's smile froze for a moment. He glanced at Ling Yuan beside her and felt that he had been humiliated.
He always felt that his status beside Yu Huan was higher than Ling Yuan's. When did Ling Yuan appear? It was much later than him. He knew nothing. He was not as rich or powerful as him. He just sat there like a fool. Why should he watch his joke?
He pulled the corner of his lip, and the slowly straightening arc revealed an unhappy tone.
The man finally saw something clearly and said, "So you two know each other."
He then said how come a rich second generation suddenly came down to pay their bill, now it made sense.
Yu Huan didn't tell Qiao Wanshu and the others that she came to the bar to have fun. She still couldn't change her fixed mindset. She always felt that Lu Songzhou didn't seem to be up to any good things. With him around, she felt uncomfortable at all.
"You're not going to complain to my sister, are you?" she asked, staring at him.
Lu Songzhou snorted and said disdainfully, "I wouldn't do such a childish thing."
In fact, it was Qiao Wanshu who didn't let him go to the Qiao family. He had just sent the secretly taken photos when he found that Qiao Wanshu had blocked him, so he had no place to complain.
Ling Yuan wanted to ask about the details of Yu Huan's relative, but he couldn't say it in front of others. He had to suppress the matter in his heart and try to find a way to ease the atmosphere.
He happened to catch a glimpse of the chilled bayberries on the corner of the table, so he brought it to Yu Huan. "You said this was good last time, so I ordered it. Try it again. How does it compare to what you had last time?"
For a moment, everyone in the booth focused on the small green plate. Large, ruby-like bayberries were soaked in a purple-red juice that exuded a sweet and sour aroma.
Yu Huan picked up one with a fork.
The corners of Lu Songzhou's lips drooped further, and he suddenly asked: "Are you going to pursue her?"
Ling Yuan was shocked when the secret in his heart was revealed unexpectedly. Although he had been planning to confess his feelings recently, he couldn't keep calm when he heard such a sudden statement.
The sip of ice water that just entered his throat caused trouble, and he coughed until his face turned red.
Yu Huan had the bayberry in his mouth and couldn't speak.
Lu Songzhou looked calm, his emotions unremarkable, and he confidently defined himself: "You're not suitable for her. You're too young, so you should ask your parents for the money you're spending. Have you asked your parents about your relationship?"
"You're not from here. Do you want her to go back with you when you get married? Have you considered the situation she'll face then? Will she be able to adapt to the food there? Will you still be able to spend money so freely after you graduate?"
