The person at the back desk didn't understand and poked Yu Huan with a pen: "Why didn't she write to me, but only to you?"
"Because I'm her deskmate." Yu Huan answered with great pride, and said disdainfully, "And you're not."
.
When autumn comes, the leaves on the roadside trees turn yellow, the temperature drops, and the air becomes dry.
Every day before going to school, Ms. Wei would apply some moisturizer on Yu Huan.
Fragrant orange flavor.
Yu Huan spent a short autumn in the scent of oranges.
When winter was approaching, the temperature dropped sharply. Ms. Wei even took out Yu Huan's thick fluffy coat. She wore a warm coat inside and thick clothes outside, and her shoes were also lined with fleece.
However, even so, the influenza in the class still spread to Yu Huan.
At first, I just kept sneezing and had a stuffy nose, but I could still go to and from school normally.
Ms. Wei gave her some medicine, but perhaps the dosage was too low and it had no effect.
The next day, when Yu Huan woke up, he touched her head and it was as hot as a kettle. Yu Huan felt dizzy and lost, calling out for his mother in a daze.
Ms. Wei hurriedly put thick clothes on her and said she would take her to the hospital immediately.
Dad went to work early in the morning, and it’s too late to call him back now. Grandma’s legs are not very strong, so it’s not convenient for her to go.
Ms. Wei carried Yu Huan out of the house alone.
I happened to run into Yu Bingqiao who was preparing to go to school alone.
"Aunt Wei, what's wrong with my sister?" Yu Bingqiao felt something was wrong when he saw this and asked hurriedly.
"Huanhuan has a high fever. I'm taking her to the hospital." Ms. Wei was afraid that her child would go crazy due to the fever, so she panicked. She accidentally dropped her bag on the ground, and she couldn't pick it up while holding Yu Huan.
I can only put Yu Huan down and pick it up again.
My sister is sick.
Yu Bingqiao looked at the mother and daughter and felt that they needed help. He said without hesitation, "Don't worry, Auntie. I'll go with you."
"No need! You, kid, you still have to go to school." How could Ms. Wei bother a child? She didn't take those words to heart, and quickly carried Yu Huan downstairs to drive the car.
The car was about to start when Yu Bingqiao came over, banging on the window and shouting, "Auntie, I just went back and texted my mom, asking her to ask for leave from the teacher for me. It's hard for you to take care of your sister by yourself, so I'll help you."
The situation was urgent and Yu Bingqiao had followed her here again. Ms. Wei could not say anything and could only open the door and let him come up.
At that time, I didn’t think having another child would be of much use, but Yu Bingqiao was really reliable.
When Ms. Wei went to park her car and queue up for registration, he was the one who helped lead Yu Huan, otherwise she wouldn't know what to do.
Fortunately, after the IV drip, the temperature gradually dropped.
Ms. Wei finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Auntie, don't forget to ask for leave for your sister." Yu Bingqiao reminded.
Ms. Wei then remembered what had happened. She explained the situation to the teacher and looked up at the child with admiration: "I'm really grateful to you for helping me today. You've really helped me so much and even delayed your school. I'll make you something delicious when I get home."
"I don't know how I could give birth to a child like you, so smart and sensible."
At the end, she couldn't help but sigh.
He is simply a role model among other people's children. He is good-looking, polite, and capable. How can he not be liked?
"I'm a brother. My sister is sick, so of course I can't just sit there and watch." Yu Bingqiao said seriously.
Yu Huan fell asleep.
He stayed by the bed, always paying attention to whether the water in the drip was finished and whether there was a bulge on the back of Yu Huan's hand due to the needle.
Mr. Shi took a leave of absence in the afternoon and came over. Ms. Wei finally didn't have to go it alone, and she left the matter of finding a nurse to Mr. Shi.
The doctor said the fever was a bit severe and has subsided now, but I’m afraid it will recur at night, so it’s best to stay overnight and observe.
The couple stayed to keep the patient company.
At night, Ms. Wei and Yu Huan shared a bed, while Shi's father was on another empty bed, using his computer to process the work he had owed for the day.
Fortunately, nothing happened that night, and Yu Huan was well again the next day.
The doctor prescribed some more medicine and reminded him to keep warm. Shi's father went to complete the discharge procedures. Once they were done, they could go home.
Ms. Wei had wrapped Yu Huan up like a little penguin, fearing she might catch a cold again. Yu Huan didn't care, tilting her chin up as she let her mother zip up to avoid pinching her flesh.
I packed up everything, but my dad still hadn't come back.
Ms. Wei took out the egg rolls her father brought yesterday and asked her if she wanted to eat them.
"Eat!" Yu Huanchao answered loudly.
Ms. Wei handed her the egg roll, and she ate it while picking up the crumbs with her hands, occasionally looking up at the front.
Although it was a normal scene, Ms. Wei felt that it was somewhat precious.
She always thought that her daughter was stupid. Although she was cute, her grades were always poor. She was also playful and unstable. She was not as self-disciplined as other children and always needed her parents' supervision.
She was always worried about her, worried that the teachers would not like her at school, and worried that she would not be able to get into a good university or find a good job in the future.
However, she had been ill for the past two days. She was listless and not at all noisy, her voice was low, and her temperature was as high as a furnace...
Ms. Wei then remembered that her original intention when she gave birth to her was not so many utilitarian goals, she just wanted her to be safe and happy.
Now seeing her return to her former lively, cheerful, healthy and carefree self, her eyes felt inexplicably sore.
"Mom has a secret to tell you." Ms. Wei suddenly said.
Yu Huan looked up blankly, and then heard her mother whisper, "I love you most in the whole world."
