Chapter 74: School Begins

Senior year of high school is like a sandwich, and the winter vacation is the thin layer of filling in the middle. It’s over before you can savor it.

On the first day of school, Fu Shenzhi personally sent her to school. There were few people on the road, and they were all high school seniors with gloomy faces.

"You really want to stay here?" Fu Shenzhi said coldly, "You've become so successful that you're willing to not see me for whole months?"

Zuo You said, "It's only half a semester anyway, I want to spend some time with Tongtong at school."

When Fu Shenzhi heard the name Wen Tong, he looked unhappy for a moment, but he no longer forced it and drove slowly towards the school.

They soon arrived at the gate. Fu Shenzhi carried the suitcase in one hand and the bag on the other shoulder, and helped Zuo You carry it into the dormitory building.

Along the way, Fu Shenzhi's superior appearance attracted everyone's attention. Many students knew him and discussed him in low voices.

"Am I seeing things right? This... is this Master Fu?"

"That's absolutely right. Mr. Fu came to our class to help us with competition questions for a month last year. It was definitely him!"

"Who is that girl next to Master Fu? Does anyone know her? Why is Master Fu helping him carry his luggage? Oh my god, I'm so envious."

The chatter of the crowd gradually grew louder, and then someone shouted.

"Don't overthink it. Isn't Mr. Fu's girlfriend Lin Caiwei?"

Someone immediately refuted: "What nonsense! Master Fu and Lin Caiwei have long been open about their relationship and have never been in a relationship. This is nothing but speculation from the media."

"Yes, yes. At that time, the Fu Group and Lin Caiwei jointly issued a long notice, claiming that it was just an ordinary cooperative relationship. If they spread rumors again, they would be held legally responsible."

Someone muttered gloomily, "Ah, I was quite fond of them back then."

Fu Shenzhi heard the discussion and suddenly said, "Kid, do you blame me for not telling you?"

Zuo You exclaimed "Ah" and raised her head in confusion.

God is my witness, she has never thought about this before. Today, when Mr. Fu suddenly brought it up, she was a little embarrassed and waved her hands repeatedly, not knowing what to say.

Fu Shenzhi said calmly, "Lin Caiwei and I were forced to break up due to the situation. Although we have never had any other contact, in the eyes of the public, Lin Caiwei and I had just broken up."

Fu Shenzhi looked down at her, his eyes serious. "If I tell you openly now, the media will definitely not let you go. People will say all sorts of things. And the most difficult thing to ban in the world is speech."

The two of them were walking and talking, and now they had reached the dormitory building. Fu Shenzhi was stopped outside the building by the dormitory manager.

Zuo You threw her suitcase and schoolbag with the dormitory manager and followed Fu Shenzhi into a secluded place behind the dormitory building.

Fu Shenzhi was very restrained and just lowered his head and kissed her forehead.

"Girl." The man said in a hoarse voice: "After you finish the exam and the excitement has died down, I will be open with you."

Zuo You stood on tiptoe, hugged Fu Shenzhi's neck, and took the initiative to jump up and kiss his soft and cold lips: "Uncle, I believe you."

Fu Shenzhi did not deepen the kiss, but reached out and rubbed her hair: "Xiaoyue, after you finish the college entrance examination, I have a gift for you."

"Okay." Zuo You's eyes sparkled, and she didn't ask what the gift was. No matter what her benefactor gave her, she liked it the most.

After waiting for Fu Shenzhi to leave, Zuo You simply went back to the dormitory to pack up and went to class.

The class was having a heated discussion, with students excitedly discussing the voluntary resignation of Yang Guiting and other teachers who seriously violated professional ethics.

They were all discussing enthusiastically, their eyes shining.

Someone raised his fist and said, "The liberated slaves are singing! Yang Guiting finally doesn't have to bring disaster to the next generation. She's not a good lecturer, and her only asset is her bad temper."

Someone immediately nodded in agreement: "That's right, that's right. If you refute her, she'll be so embarrassed that she'll give you a hard time for the whole week. How petty!"

Some people were also surprised: "Hey, I heard that classmate Su Yuhe is not coming this semester. I wonder what happened."

The other students were shocked: "It's the final sprint of senior year, and she's not coming to school?! What's going on?"

The classroom was as lively as a pot of porridge. Everyone hadn't seen each other for the entire winter vacation, and when they met, they were extremely cordial and kept discussing all the big and small things that happened during the vacation.

Someone familiar saw Zuo You coming and greeted him with a smile: "Zuo You, come on, come quickly, let's eat melon together!"

Zuo You responded with a smile, threw down his schoolbag and ran into the crowd, surrounded by laughter, noise and jeers.

The senior year of high school is really painful, but when I look back on it, there is always a shining memory.

For example, now, a group of students gathered together to talk about life, ideals, the past, and the present. They spoke freely, and everyone had a sincere and happy smile on their face.

I have to say that senior year of high school was a painful but memorable time. It also passed so quickly, almost in the blink of an eye.
