Chapter 279 The Doll's Name

The midwife placed the child beside the bed, next to Yang Donghu. The baby, who was originally crying loudly, probably smelled a familiar smell and stopped crying.

Zhao Luochuan didn't want to disturb Yang Donghu's sleep, and wanted Xiangping to take the child aside, but now that the baby had calmed down, he didn't say anything, thinking that if Yang Donghu woke up and opened his eyes, he would be able to see the child.

The little baby was so cute, with fair skin and a pair of big eyes that looked very much like Yang Donghu, so watery. When he was not crying, he would just blink his eyes and look around. After a while, the little child was exhausted and closed his eyes.

Zhao Fangchu and Yang Anjin both wanted to come in to see the baby, but Zhu Cuilan said that too many people would not be conducive to Yang Donghu's rest. Even though they wanted to come in, they just waited outside.

There was a faint light in the distant sky, and it was almost dawn. Although Zhu Cuilan had been busy all night, she was happy and didn't feel tired. She prepared food to entertain the people who came to help with the delivery. She lit the stove and boiled a pot of mushy rice soup, intending to give it to Yang Donghu after he woke up a little.

I have just given birth and my body is weak, so it is better to eat light food like this. I will not be able to eat anything with oily mouthfeel for a few days.

Xiang Ping brought in some hot water and saw Zhao Luochuan standing by the bed, so she said, "Why don't you go out and have something to eat? I'll wipe Dong Hu's body. He's sweaty now, so he can sleep better after that."

Zhao Luochuan didn't want to leave before the person woke up. He shook his head and said, "Let me wipe it."

After the outsiders left, Zhao Fangyu was responsible for sending the hired midwife back. Zhu Cuilan came in and interrupted him: "Don't stay here. I'm going to clean Donghu's body. The baby should be fed. It's not convenient for Xiangping if you stay here. I'll call you as soon as I'm done."

Although Zhao Luochuan still didn't want to leave, what Zhu Cuilan said made sense. He finally kissed Yang Donghu lightly on the cheek before walking out, looking back every few steps.

Zhao Fangchu served him a bowl of hot soup. It was still a little cold, and he hadn't slept all night, so drinking the soup would make him feel better.

The baby couldn't be seen yet, so Zhao Fangchu surrounded Zhao Luochuan and kept asking questions like what the baby looked like, how much it weighed, whether it was white, and who it looked like.

Yang Anjin also wanted to ask, but he didn't dare to go up and surround them, so he just listened to them talking from the side.

Zhao Luochuan was in a good mood as he became a father for the first time and responded to all the questions.

When the child was born, the midwife could estimate that he weighed more than six kilograms just by feeling him with her hand. It was the right size and the easiest to feed.

The baby was sucking vigorously and robustly. Zhu Cuilan was overjoyed when she heard the sound: "Seeing Donghu's frail body, I was worried that the baby would be too young to feed. Look at how vigorously he's drinking, he's a healthy and good child."

"This child is not light at all. He is even stronger than the boy I took care of before. He will definitely be in good health when he grows up and will rarely suffer from illness or pain." After feeding the child, Xiang Ping pulled down her clothes, watched Zhu Cuilan tidy up Yang Donghu, and put the baby on the bedside.

Zhu Cuilan smiled and said yes repeatedly after hearing her words. Xiangping had also been tired for a long time, so she quickly asked Xiangping to go to sleep for a while. Newborn babies need to be fed frequently, and if they can't get enough rest, the milk will not be good.

Xiangping was also very sleepy. She yawned and went back to her room to sleep. Zhu Cuilan then played with the baby for a while before calling Zhao Luochuan in.

"Dachuan, have you decided on a name for the child?" Zhu Cuilan lowered her voice. Zhao Luochuan paused for a moment before realizing what she was saying. He shook his head and said, "I haven't decided yet. Let Donghu choose the name. Auntie, you're tired too. Go and rest for a while. I'll take care of the baby here, Donghu."

"Okay, when Donghu wakes up, give him a bowl of rice soup. He'll be hungry soon. If he cries and you don't know what's wrong, just call Xiangping."

The other two little brothers in the family were exhausted after working all night, so Zhu Cuilan sent them back to rest, saying that they could go see the baby after they woke up.

Zhao Fangchu was so sleepy that his eyelids were drooping. He wanted to be the first to see it, so he didn't go back to his own yard and ran to squeeze into the same bed with the old lady.

The old lady was frightened all night and didn't sleep well. She didn't eat her meal just now. Zhao Fangchu finally had time to talk to the old lady and said that he would help her see Yang Donghu when she woke up to reassure her.

The old lady cried a lot that night. It was too cold at night and she had been ill recently, so they didn't let her stay out. Even though she had been lying in bed, she couldn't close her eyes. She folded her hands and prayed all night until the baby was born.

The yard was no longer noisy as it was at night and suddenly became quiet. Zhao Luochuan didn't know how long he sat by the bed, reluctant to close his eyes.

Yang Donghu slept uneasily and it didn't take long. When he slowly opened his eyes and woke up, he saw that Zhao Luochuan's eyes were bloodshot and he was still staring at him.

"Why... cough, why don't you take a nap?" His throat was hoarse and he spoke the sentence in two parts.

"I'm not tired. I have to stay with you."

Zhao Luochuan brought him a bowl of water and fed him a spoonful at a time. After the water entered his mouth, Yang Donghu felt that his dry mouth was better.

The rice soup on the stove was being simmered carefully over a thin charcoal fire, and it was not cold when it was drunk. Yang Donghu couldn't eat too much, so he was fed only half a bowl.

"Not eating anymore? Do you want to sleep a little longer?"

Yang Donghu shook his head, rested for a while, and finished his meal. Now he had some strength in his body. He turned his head to look at the doll beside the bed.

The baby in the cradle was full and slept peacefully without making any noise. Yang Donghu gently scratched his cheek with his fingertips and smiled with satisfaction.

Zhao Luochuan also came over to watch. The two brothers, one big and one small, were so adorable.

"Have you decided on a name for your child?"

"Not yet." Zhao Luochuan shook his head: "How about you think of a name?"

Yang Donghu closed his eyes and could only think of the sweet-smelling peach blossoms and the pink petals falling amidst the chaos yesterday. He thought for a moment and said with a smile, "Why not name him Taole? It's perfect for the season when peach blossoms fill the sky. I also wish him good fortune and happiness in the future."

"Zhao Taole, Taole," Zhao Luochuan muttered to himself, then looked at Yang Donghu with a smile in his eyes: "It's a good name, let's call him Taole, and his nickname is Lele. I just hope he won't have to suffer any hardship in the future and will live a happy life."

I don't know if Wa Wa also likes his name. He suddenly grinned with his eyes open. Zhao Luochuan poked his face with his finger and said softly: "Le Le."

The two played with the child for a while, and then Yang Donghu patted the seat next to him and asked Zhao Luochuan to come over and take a nap. Since he had nothing to do now, he obediently lay down and closed his eyes for a while.
