After releasing the sky lanterns, it was still early before dawn, and the three of them strolled leisurely from Dayang Village to Zhaojiazhuang, and then back from Zhaojiazhuang, still holding the firework sticks they bought from the fireworks stall.
The wish you made cannot be spoken out loud, otherwise it will not come true. Zhao Fangchu was curious and kept pestering Yang Donghu and Yang Anjin along the way to ask what wish they made.
Yang Anjin couldn't stand Zhao Fangchu's pestering anymore, so he raised his hand and patted his forehead to shut him up.
Zhao Fangchu picked out the right person to deal with, but when he saw that this person was not easy to deal with, he turned to trouble Yang Donghu.
Yang Donghu didn't hit him, but said cheerfully, "I hope Fang Chu can eat delicious food every day. Are you happy?"
"Brother Dong, do you think I'm stupid? How did you learn bad things from An Jin?" Zhao Fangchu looked incredulous.
Yang Donghu said happily: "You are quite smart."
Yang Anjin pretended to hit him, but Zhao Fangchu ran away and made a face at both of them.
Occasionally, when passing by a few small courtyards, you can hear the lively shouts coming from the houses. Suddenly, you can hear who has won and shout in joy, and who has lost and wants to play another round unconvinced.
"Yang Anchen, walk slower and wait for me."
As he was walking, Yang Anjin heard someone calling his brother's name. He stopped and looked in the direction of the sound, only to see two figures walking one in front and one behind not far from them.
The figure two steps behind was small and pretty. She called out to the man in front of her, but when he didn't turn around, she stomped her feet in anger.
The tall figure in front of him didn't hear the footsteps behind him. He turned his head as if trying to control his impatience and said, "I told you not to follow me, but you refused to listen."
"How can you be like this? You brought me here so you have to send me back. Otherwise, it would be dangerous for a girl like me to be in such a dark place."
The tall man tried hard to maintain his composure. "You were the one who insisted on following me. Also, don't follow me anymore. People are misunderstanding you now, and it's bad for your reputation."
"No, I'm going to follow you. I don't care what others think."
Seeing that he couldn't convince himself, the man got so angry that he ran away.
Yang Donghu thought the girl's voice was familiar, and when he looked carefully, it was Yang Chunxue.
"Brother, what are you doing here?" Yang Anjin hated Yang Chunxue being with his brother the most, and his voice sounded a little unhappy.
The sudden sound startled the two people. Yang Anchen breathed a sigh of relief when he saw them and said in a gentle tone: "An Jin, why are you here? Have you finished releasing the sky lanterns?"
Yang Anjin didn't reply, and said to Yang Chunxue in a bad tone: "Why do you always pester my brother?"
Yang Anjin had overheard what the two of them were saying. Yang Chunxue felt embarrassed in front of him and said stiffly, "What's it got to do with you?"
"You are a man, he is my brother, of course he has a relationship with me."
Just as Yang Chunxue was about to speak, she saw Yang Donghu standing next to Yang Anjin. The surprise in her eyes turned into shame.
She has always been popular in the village because of her outstanding appearance. No matter where she goes, there are always men willing to fall for her.
Yang Chunxue had always been arrogant in front of Yang Donghu, but now that he saw her in such a humble state, she felt as embarrassed as if she had been slapped in the face in front of everyone.
She bit her lips tightly and looked like she was about to cry, which was seen by another man from the same village who had chased her out.
"Yang Anchen, I hate you!" Yang Chunxue stomped her feet and ran away crying.
The man who chased after him glared at Yang Anchen fiercely, said "You don't know what's good for you", and chased in the direction Yang Chunxue ran.
Yang Anchen pinched his eyebrows irritably. Everything that happened tonight made his head hurt.
Several people were disturbed and had no desire to play anymore. Yang Donghu tugged at Yang Anjin's sleeve and said, "Anjin, let's go back first."
Zhao Fangchu nodded repeatedly beside him.
"Let me take you back, otherwise I won't be at ease." Yang Anjin said.
Yang Anchen returned to his usual elegant demeanor and asked Yang Donghu in surprise, "Are you Donghu?"
Yang Donghu and Yang Anjin grew up together, so it was inevitable that they would meet Yang Anchen. However, in Yang Anchen's memory, Yang Donghu was just a skinny kid with a pale face. He didn't recognize him after he had changed so much in a blink of an eye.
Yang Donghu nodded slightly: "Brother Yang."
Yang Anjin said, "Donghu has changed so much, you didn't expect it, did you?"
"I didn't expect it. I still remember him as a child."
Yang Donghu smiled shyly and said nothing more.
"Okay, okay, let's talk about it later, Dong Hu, we'll take you back first."
It was late at night. Although Zhaojiazhuang and Dayang Village were not far away, it was more reassuring to have a man with her instead of two brothers.
On the way back, there were unfamiliar people around, and even Zhao Fangchu, who loved to talk the most, kept his mouth shut.
After Yang Donghu and Zhao Fangchu left, Zhao Luochuan and Zhao Fangyu were dragged by several men of the same age in the village to play Pai Gow. Zhao Luochuan was lucky and won several rounds in a row.
They didn't like playing these games. After being dragged into playing for a few rounds, they found an excuse to leave the table because it was boring. They looked around the village but didn't see anyone. They guessed that he might have gone to look for Yang Anjin, so they walked towards Dayang Village together.
Before he even walked out of the village, he ran into Yang Donghu and Zhao Fangchu who were sent back by a stranger. Zhao Luochuan's face suddenly fell.
"Winter Lake."
Yang Donghu saw Zhao Luochuan's eyes light up, and his whole body was filled with joy. He didn't notice that there was something wrong with Zhao Luochuan's expression: "Why didn't you go out to play?"
